I would like a double of what you’ve had ? Tonight is Elliott’s time to shine; I’m convinced he scores once, and gets two assists. It’s all coming together, fellas. -

I voted early, so now I’m ready for the game. Not that I’m expecting much, I just hope to see some signs of life from this beat-up squad, and perhaps believe better days are ahead. -

I asked earlier, maybe our S&C staff need to go. There’s no reason every year to have this many guys go down. -

Twelve 1st teamers out tomorrow; I’m wondering if our S&C staff need to go with him? Im not a big advocate of sacking Mowbray in mid season. I stand by my earlier comment, if we haven’t started winning points routinely by Boxing Day, I think we should expect a change. Certainly, if we are bottom half of the table, there is no defense to keep him on. His new transfers will have had plenty of time to make an impact, & Dacky & Travis hopefully will be back in the lineup for a few games. -

I think we need that. Tony & his nice boys image hasn’t translated into anything approaching tough, physical football, with a burning desire to win. Hughes apparently attracted that kind of player. Fights in locker rooms, that kind of stuff. Sounds like the shot in the arm we need. IF he could be coaxed back here; he might not be welcome, he threw us over for Cityzens, right? -

Thanks, LT says Bell, Douglas & Johnson all miss, & Kaminski to probably be out. This is really demoralizing, no real hope exists to get any points at all in the near future. -

This was before my time following Rovers, but didn’t Hughes have a rep as a mean, dirty, gaffer? We need some meanness, if he still wants to work, he might be a strong candidate when that time comes around. -

R-C at left back- Wasn’t that a horror show the last time it was tried? At any rate, it will be a welcome return for Rothwell. -

Does Downing have anything left in those 36-year old legs? Maybe penalty kick -

Twelve out, and the most common prediction here is 0-1!? Good grief, Tony hasn’t been golden when he’s had a sound 11, why would we think it would only be 0-1 with 12 out? A season of promise, which quickly deteriorated into a hot mess. We cannot even depend on our new signings/loaners to give us any bump. If Arma is out, we have no prayer of even getting a tie. My sunshine-pumping has an end to it, 0-3. -
It’s hard to get excited on game day anymore. I was thrilled about Elliott coming in, but that excitement is over now. Not enough healthy players, nobody seems to be put in their respective positions (due to injury, or whim). Excuses wore out a long time ago. Other clubs are playing; it just seems Rovers are interested in lame excuses before our guys even take the pitch. I expect before very long to hear we’ve sold Armstrong. What’s the point in it, owners recoup their losses, the product on the field gets worse.
-
That’s it for me today. I’m tired of trying to be positive. We’re a mess.
-
Even though it’s no surprise, it’s still demoralizing when we concede like this.
-
3 pts would get us to 8th... assuming nobody above us in those 5 places gets points. I’m not being a pessimist, I’m probably one of the biggest sunshine-pumpers here, but it’s going to take more than 3 pts today to get us back in the hunt.
-
Coventry scores on Reading... 1st time they’ve been behind all season, to a club who’ve won one in eight
-
We are 2-0-2 on the road, getting 6 points in 4 games on the road isn’t bad. But those 6 were against catfish teams. But, it beats our form at home (1 win, 1 tie, 2 losses). Sadly, I’m not seeing 3 pts tomorrow. One point, I would be content.

With the revolving door lineup we have, I have almost zero expectations for Saturday. Tony not totally at fault for that. 5% chance of win or tie, imo.

Rovers vs Reading at Virtual Ewood
WacoRover replied to Lancs Rover's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I’m like everybody else, in one respect- not happy about yesterday’s result, but not ready to panic, and start sacking, either. As I stated when Douglas, Trybull & Pears were brought in, we need to expect some good results by Boxing Day- and I don’t mean a win, a loss, a tie, repeat, etc. We need to see 4 pts out of 6, 7 pts out of 9, etc. Right now, we’re not even close to 4 pts out of 9. -

what we now know... - JF-C is not much use as a back; - Pears needs more work, pref, U23s; - Evans should not play on a side hoping for promotion to PL. -

Big game in our Texan family. Our son got his Master’s at Reading, so he likes Royals well enough. But, he’s a huge Liverpool fan, so he loves Harv Elliott, and will be pulling for Elliott to do well. I attended the game at Reading last Sept., which was a Rovers win, with Armstrong & Dack each getting a goal. No Dack this time, but I fancy the rest of the squad is improved. A 2-1 win this time would be most excellent. -
