Errrrm no he was not...not even close imo. Rhodes in his pomp had the finishing of Defoe and the overall footballing ability of a league 2 player. Arma will evidence the huge difference in ability by the level he plays at. He will be in the Premier league next season whether or not we are.

There’s many have said it before. Williams has always been a sound Championship CB and w distinctly average LB. At 27 he’s just about to hit his peak which is probably a ‘good, solid’ Championship CB. But make no bones about it...he has been our best defender and with 4 clean sheets in 7 that says a lot about the level of his performances.

Fantastic football that. Elliott, Arma, BB and Holtby must be frightening to play against. Douglas and Trybull are massive improvements...wait until Dack, Trav and Rothwell are back!! ?

I haven’t lauded the result. I’ve lauded the performance which as @Bbrovers2288 so eloquently put shows we have “the ingredients for a top season” The ‘football man’ comment was a direct lift from his post...I just flipped it. Won’t have gone down too well but he’s a big boy. But genuinely, only a layman looks at the result of a match...appreciate your opinion. We lost, it’s disappointing but WOW that was a very good performance and one that 9/10 times results in a convincing win. I’d have been disappointed with a draw!!

I agree...it’s not done and dusted mate. Far from it. But we haven’t been good enough to put that level of performance in for many years. Absolute domination away at a team like Watford with what 5 times our budget? I’m just saying that with Dack, Rothwell, Trav, Trybull, Douglas to come back, I’m very excited to see where this team will finish. ?? In Elliott, Rothwell, Holtby and Dack we’ll have a better chance of beating teams who defend deep against us. There will be a few more after teams watch that tonight!

67% possession and 18 shots against a top side. Genuinely don’t know how we lost that game...we were by far the best team. Swap out Evans and Bell for Trybull and Douglas on Saturday. Williams for the potentially injured Ayala. ??

Eh!!??? We haven’t had 67% away from home many times in my life. The players have worked hard here and we have played well...but we’ve lost this game purely down to individual player errors. 18 shots and only one goal....we’ve missed a bucketful tonight.

We got it tactically right tonight. Dominated a top team from start to finish. The manager can’t make Armstrong miss three top chances and a penalty. He can’t make Lenihan be less cumbersome for their third or take the blame for Lenihans header in the first half which should’ve been finished. Onwards and upwards

Great performance 1st half...vulnerable down our left with a top player in Sarr vs the dreadful Amari’i Bell. All to play for second half. Tell you what...Put Douglas, Trybull, Rothwell, Dack and Trav In and this is gonna be some team. We won’t play against this quality every week.
