Fair play to Mowbray, he’s dropped our 3 worst performers. I can tell he’s not happy with Douglas, his comments he made. But gave him benefit of doubt of trying to get fit, but still not performed so rightly dropped.

I’m really torn on it. I think we are crap at the back, yet I read last 3 games we only had 3 shots on target against us (they all went in). The team he puts out im happy with and would expect them to create chances. But like I said earlier, we are easy to defend against if you just sit in, as we don’t cross the ball, so it’s got to be a moment of magic or a superb pass, then we need to finish it. How quickly Dack was laying off passes is probably what Mowbray expects of the others, they just not doing it. Gallagher looks so out of place with how we play, don’t know what Mowbray is doing with him. He should be our plan B if he’s on pitch, problem is, as we saw with his header that went for a throw, he’s not great at that. I get excited for every game, and then when it starts and I see teams sitting back, I’m instantly frustrated/bored knowing it’s 90 mins of passing round our own halfway line. I long for us to just lump it in the box and see what happens.

My thoughts on last few games, there has been 2 players I am really not impressed with. Douglas, I don’t know what he was like when he was good, but he looks well off the pace. Very slow, always backwards. Not the type i thought we was getting from what I read about him. Holtby, started season well, when he missed a few games I thought we really missed him. But my god he’s gone down hill. Dack was so much better, 1, 2 touches quick play. I’ve always kinda doubted if Dack could step up the EPL, but if Holtby played for Germany, Dack looked miles above him today.

The quotes for today’s game is pretty accurate to be fair. That’s pretty much what went down.

Obviously Elliott goes. Sure JRC be sorted, if not does anyone really care other then he was in our academy. Fingers crossed on Nyambe, like I said before if he doesn’t sign its on him, he plays every week no doubt we want him.

I just wish Nyambe would cross it more, sling it in there. I’m not expecting an Armstrong header, but look when Lenihan stuck one in it bounces around Brereton nearly scored.

100% it’s easy to see. We don’t cross the ball, we are poor in the air, we can’t do set pieces. Sit tight and take your chances, and you will get a result off us.

I don’t want anyone to argue with anyone, not at all, we all follow same team, just giving my opinion. I said we are clearly a good attacking team hence our goals, but as per other posts, A Dack and Brereton can help us unlock teams like Stoke.

Spot on. We lost because we conceded a header as we had a CM at CB due to 3 people being injured who would be there instead. We couldn’t score. Is our attack bad? No, we are second highest scorers in league. We move on

If Nyambe, Rothwell and Holtby leave that can’t be blamed on Mowbray. He doesn’t sign the contracts. He plays all 3 regularly. If Nyambe wants to go and gets a bigger club, that’s on the owners. If Holtby goes, it’s not going to be for bigger ambition or lack of game time. Same with Rothwell. Dack is running his contract down, and openly saying he will jump at any PL team that will have him. Mowbray plays these guys every week, it’s weird that some fans will blame him if they go.

You can’t be serious. Do you want to go back to Venkys pre Mowbray? Wow that was fun.

With this squad I expect play offs minimum. With injuries we have had, I’m giving manager benefit of doubt. If when we have Brereton and Dack back in new year and it’s same old story, then I’ll be thinking it’s time for a change.

Not saying it’s our fault, or that I’m happy. Just pointing out we need to trust the professionals. Not drop Armstrong and play Chapman, then where would we be? I like most wasn’t impressed with Brereton, now we are all desperate to have him back. Mowbrays best team doesn’t have Gallagher playing, Johnson at centre back, no Dack.

Manning hasn’t been getting games due to his life style. I have a connection to him, and football isn’t coming first for him in life choices.

It was only a year ago this message board was demanding lazy Armstrong be dropped and Chapman should be starting every game.

Yes we are under achieving, 100%. This squad should be doing better. I don’t care about the table at this stage. When Millwall was above us were they better? No, we beat them.

Based on the game today. I know it sounds stupid because we lost, but it’s margins. If Douglas shot goes in its 1-1. I can’t prove myself right now, but bet we finish above them.

I’d be interested to know how a different manager would of made a difference to today’s result? We are a better team then Stoke, if they didn’t score and had to come at us more there’s no doubt we would of scored. They scored first, was it poor marking? Yes. But the initial move broke down from our best player Elliott giving it away. This happens. Stoke are very good at what they do, they won’t go up playing that way, and that’s are overall aim isn’t it?

Can’t believe Watford sacked their manager. On the game, that’s how to beat us. We really struggle when teams sit like that, hopefully Dack can be the difference. Even when Preston gave up, we struggled to really get in behind them despite the score.

I’m assuming all you shouting for Mowbray out are the same lot who filled the rest of the seats for the Oxford game at Ewood in League one. Good to see you again.

And Dack is a top player, which I think people forget. Remember when he got injured, our other 2 goal scorers were Mulgrew (loaned out) and Graham (last legs). Where were goals coming from? Dack coming back is like having a Toney or a Pukki. I think some have forgotten how good he is, and we have him in just a couple weeks.

So is Dack, that Mowbray fault?

100% agree I’ve been puzzled when Bennett played instead. But I’m sure there was reasons, there’s no doubt that wouldn’t be case now if Bennett fit. I am sure Mowbray is desperate to sign him on again, if he doesn’t it will be down to Venkys or the player, not Mowbray.

I think Douglas needs Brereton in front of him. Tactically I think Nyambe is meant to be our attacking full back, getting up and down, whilst Douglas isn’t designed for that anymore and needs Brereton doing the dog work, then laying it back for Douglas to use this left footed wand he’s meant to have. Obviously this isn’t working at moment, and I think some are expecting Douglas to be up and down, over lapping etc but that’s not his game at this stage. Hes good Douglas, and I know it doesn’t look it right now, but when Big Ben is back and he’s fitter I’m sure he will come good. Good example is I think we are more Spurs, in that Regullion attacks (Nyambe) and Aurier sits more. As opposed to Liverpool where both full backs go full out.

Firstly if Nyambe walks for nothing that’s nothing to do with Mowbray what so ever. Secondly how has he wasted Nyambes ability? I don’t want to lose Nyambe at all, He’s a good defender, hard to get past, he’s great at running the line going forward, but once he beats his man it just kind of stops. He can front up and beat most people, like he does, but more often then not once he does that, he stops, and passes back. If we do lose Nyambe there will be outrage, and rightly so if on a free as we should be getting money out a player like that. But as a player In the team, most fans seemed happy enough having an academy winger playing in his place, who is far worse defensively but better as an attacking option. I’d take Nyambe all day over JRC personally.
