Perfect role for him, makes senses why Downing wasn’t renewed. I was flabbergasted when Holtby was a false 9, much better in that quarter back type role.

I think it says more about our attacking players that in the last two games our holding midfielders (Holtby, Evans) have missed our best chances to score.

I don’t know a Rovers fan that didn’t want Gallagher or Chapman. Cunningham injury was unfortunate. Few of the others like Leutwiler did their jobs as back ups. I personally rate Bradley Johnson, think he was an improvement on what we had. Its game of opinions though. For every criticism of £7 million on Brereton I see no praise on £1.7 million for Dack and Armstrong.

Only reason is it’s out of budget, I’ve said before he’s not going to be given 7 million to sign Charlie Austin for example. I see your point though, but I’m also not going to hold a grudge on one bad transfer.

David Raya used to get slated on here. Did we miss him last year really? I don’t think so. We are never going to get £10 million for him, but £3 million plus some extras when he moves on, it’s not really that bad a deal. I personally think since Mowbray has took over he has done well with his transfers. (This is assuming he doesn’t have total control, like Brereton, which I don’t think he has, could be wrong). When we got relegated we kept all our good players, he’s signed Dack, Armstrong (slated on here constantly) Rothwell, Smallwood, Ayala, Cunningham, Downing. Great loans like (Reid albeit played out position) Adarabioyo. He has flaws of course, what manager doesn’t, but I’ve been far happier since Mowbray took over then I have been in previous 5 years, haven’t you??

Got mine yesterday, first one in a few years as mainly stuck to away games. I’m going to be paying £10 to watch on iplayer anyway so hoping it works out financially for me with the £7.50 off next years when hopefully all is back to normal.

I hope Ayala is good in the air, be nice to be half interested when we have a corner. As we all saw, really good football and a good effort, but lack any kind of threat. As someone mentioned this is what killed our play off hopes last year when we couldn’t beat the sides that just sit back. Hopefully Dack coming back helps us. Much better second half from Rothwell. Brerton is trying, desperate for it to work out for him.

When you count the senior goals in our starting line up, it’s no shock we don’t look like scoring. Hopefully Armstrong is on at half time, nothing to lose let’s go for it.

Rothwell just can’t perform when he starts. JRC best position is full back from look of it.

This is what I thought, which makes me think maybe just buy single game tickets.

I’ve been trying to buy a season ticket, but website keeps saying error when I proceed to check out. Tried calling the club no answer, so after 30 mins on hold gave up. Maybe it’s a sign. Seems to be as hard for me to give the club money as it is for us to find a defender. I’ll have lunch and consider my options.

Bennett was crap again. JRC wasn’t much better. One will get a hard time as he’s not from our academy. Rothwell was good for 10 minutes. Im going to miss Tosin, one of the few in our team that can pass it forwards. Literally have no idea how next season is going to pan out, but we need to sort something out because we must be the easiest team to defend against in the league. Our only hope is if Armstrong bangs one in out of no where. Plus side, 2 more games then Dack is back.

Has Lenihan ever completed a pass that isn’t 5 yards sideways? We look so lost going forwards, painful to watch. You can see Downing and Tosin trying to look for people but just zero options. Hope for a miraculous second half.

Gutted Davenport didn’t put his chance away. Annoyed with Holtby wasting 2 good chances, so it feels like a loss but they had far more chances and a draw is fair. That has to be the worst performance in a Rovers shirt from Graham. Absolute garbage today, gave it away at every opportunity. Poor from Armstrong too. Going to miss Tosin. Well done to Gallagher when he came on looked good.

Their second goal is exactly why Mulgrew was shipped out too. He can’t run, so relies on an offside trap we just never play. I never see our back line trying to work an offside trap, but with him in he has to, and as we saw, didn’t work.
