  1. We don’t need to sign anyone, as I’ve said before, squad is good enough to see what happens this year. This squad is good enough for play offs and if we go up then we go from there. If we don’t, then we shop and sell in summer. Unless there is a player who walks into our team and makes us better, play the youth fringe players.
  2. I agree, and the only thing I could think of in his defence is that he’s told not to and to stay as an out let, knowing how much Mowbray doesn’t normally tolerate passengers. But even so, yeah there is still more he needs to show but hopefully we got a good player here.
  3. I have been defending Armstrong and his selection all season and I don’t think he’s suddenly found form. The penalties help his goal numbers, otherwise I think he’s the same he’s always been. Yes he can frustrate, but he has to play because his pace is a great outlet and issue for opposition and he can at times provide end product. Think fans that are harsh on him should realise he’s not the end product yet, and should only get better.
  4. A reserve player I knew from around 7-8 years back who never made a first team appearance was on 2.5k back then, and £60 appearance fee in reserve games which he said even the first teamers got if they dropped down for a game.
  5. I think unless we are going to sign a player who walks into the team then don’t bother and wait until summer and see where we are. Already we know we are going to need new goalkeepers, new left back, new centre back and likely Graham replacement for next year, are squads big enough to try the youth we have on the fringes and see how they do. We’re gonna need all the money we got for next season.
  6. We play like a team that does most things right until the final 3rd then doesn’t know what to do next and eventually self destructs.
  7. Mowbray saying a win and 5pm Saturday all could look well had me nodding in agreement. Then I looked at table and a loss could have us 17th. Huge game, I really hope we turn up! Another one of our first half’s at Ewood where we are lethargic and sloppy can’t happen! Unsure where the goals will come from, but we go again with hope!
  8. We were Better today then at Bristol, difference is today our keeper made 2 errors and at Bristol they didn’t take their chances. But that’s football.
  9. My tongue ain’t up his arse pal, I want the same as you do. He stabilised us, got us back up, we are 4 points off play offs. I don’t forget our owners, but they seem less circus since he arrived, I’d rather bare with him then take a punt on god knows what.
  10. Yeah we should be worse off then them 2 but we aren’t cos Mowbray got us up, which is my point. Even comparing us to Charlton, we are far better off then them aren’t we?
  11. Did you feel same after Bristol away? Nyambe and Cunningham are injured, as Dack, which can not be helped. We were dead and buried for league 1 and Mowbray got us our first time of asking. Look at Sunderland and Portsmouth.
  12. This is a good forum for us to come on and let our frustrations on the game that just happened. After the first 2 games whilst it was negative I was still okay as I saw how we played and knew we would be better the Charlton come May and that we could stand up against Fulham, same as WBA. Then we went shit, and when I lost hope we went on a run that reminded me of my earlier confidence. The Xmas period has been a disaster, but we are still in the mix. I still think we are a good enough side for play offs, 2nd most clean sheets in the league if we can find a goal scorer (Graham hopefully) then we still got a shot.
  13. Whilst I agree we are better out of possession, hence why we struggle against Wigan, Charlton etc at home, it’s hard to tell the team not to have it. We had the ball and were doing well, then our GK had an awful 5 mins and we are 2-0 down. Early in the game, first half, I thought we looked dangerous wide trying to cross it, issue was our best striker was on the bench. Had no faith in Bereton scoring a header or getting on a chance at all.
  14. I’m not familiar with the FFP rules but did we not have to sell someone of value and losing Raya was better then Travis or Lenihan? And I refuse to believe he had 7 million to spend and picked Brereton over and older available striker, he was doing as instructed for the re-sell. If I’m wrong I’m wrong, but I think it’s more Venkys doing then the managers.
  15. I know what you mean, I’d rather Raya. And trust me I’m not blindly defending Mowbray, but did he want to sell Raya? Or did he have to? Same with Brereton. Why would any manager sell a GK and only get a loan replacement makes no sense.
  16. I find it hard to blame the manager today when we score 2 goals away from home against one of the top teams and have 67% possession. Our goalkeeper killed us when we were in the game with 2 bad decisions/mistakes. Added to this we have the 2nd most clean sheets in the league, when a major criticism of Mowbray in summer was not sorting the defence.
  17. Holtby post a pic after every game of him at home with some cast on his legs, must have an ongoing niggle of some sort.
  18. The goal keeper cost us that game. Plus Brereton was like playing with 10 men. We are desperate for a decent striker they can play every week.
  19. He rightfully went 3 at the back, who would you of taken off?
  20. Didn’t realise that stat, but when you look at the games we have played away i stand by it that we are better suited away.
  21. Really disappointed to only get 2 points from the last 3 games, but we are still in the mix. I think it’s a really bad time of year to judge as, though we made 5/6/7 changes per game it’s because of the fixture pile up and we been unlucky with injuries. The winner today 9/10 goes over the bar. It’s a crazy league and we will lose a few more games along the way, so let’s see where we are. I was worried start of season where goals would come from when Graham was dropped and no Mulgrew, and sadly no one has stepped up. I couldn’t care less about losing away to Huddersfield, I expect it in this league, I’m disappointed we couldn’t get a win at home against Wigan or Birmingham. I think our team suits playing away, we can’t play against teams that sit back, added to the woeful atmosphere at Ewood, we need to find another way to play at home.
  22. What? You think Mowbray has stopped Smallwood leaving? The player he hasn’t used once. Ridiculous
