  1. He hasn't been backed, simple as that. Just as Christ Sutton said on commentary yesterday.
  2. I think the point that the others are making is that the family thing is not his MAIN reason for going to Derby. It's a bonus for him to be closer to family but its clear that Venkys, Waggott, Suhail and the lack of support he's had in strengthening the squad is clearly the reason he would consider leaving a side currently sat in the top 6. It's obvious.
  3. Nice to know the club is rotten all the way down to the effing stewards.
  4. Trying to ignore the impending implosion that's going to happen in the coming days, based on what I saw in the Wolves game today I'd be starting with this team against WBA: Pears Brittain Batth Hyam Beck Travis Buckley ACD Dennis Kargbo Gueye Cantwell, Dolan and Hedges should all be nowhere near the starting XI based on current form. Although ACD wasn't brilliant today, I'm sick to death of watching Dolan and Hedges put in poor performances.
  5. Seems that way on the face of it. Luton were riding the crest of a wave when he came in, and by all accounts didn't seem to change an awful lot than Nathan Jones had left behind.
  6. Because he probably still needs to work to earn a living at a guess, and no other club has stumped up the cash for him until now.
  7. Yeah, unfortunately as much as I like JE, there is no loyalty in football.
  8. JRC has reverted back to his old form of being absolute crap. He had a spell under JDT were he was one of the first names on the team sheet but like Buckley he has regressed massively.
  9. Essentially saying 'happy we lost' 😂.
  10. That would imply they keep up to speed with events at the club and that they actually care 😂.
  11. Is it time to start a new manager thread? Clubs don't often make official approaches for a manager if they deal isn't pretty much already done. I can only think of the fella at QPR, Beale, who knocked back a premier league club (only to eff off to Rangers 2 weeks later mind) as a recent example of a club making an approach for a manager and not being successful.
  12. In isolation it wasn't a particularly bad performance, but it could've been a heavier defeat in truth. A pretty standard huff and puff with no end product affair. Reminded me a lot of the Burnley defeat last month. Wolves never really got out of 2nd gear, and it could've easily been 4-0. Kargbo, Dennis and Ribeiro all look like they'll offer something, which is a positive. Can't really judge Woodrow after that as the game had got away from them by the time he came on, and he ended up playing CM for much of his time on the pitch. Thought Forshaw probably had his best performance today. Not that it says much, but he looked ok for the most part and in some ways id prefer him to start games alongside Travis than the petulant Buckley.
  13. A deeply frustrating player. Can't understand what he's trying to do half the time, and the other half he is sluggishly dallying on the ball, or being petulant off it. It's like playing with 10 men.
  14. Yep. Perhaps I'm being cynical on the end product, it's just a gut feeling. It just looks to me like after he's done a few stepovers if he hasn't beaten his man then he has no clue what to do with it. The disclaimer is he is up against much stronger opposition than you'll get in the Championship though.
  15. Hilarious? No. Embarrassing? Yes Is JE is going to Derby then its a clear indication that Rovers are a complete mess and a circus (as if we didn't know it already). Granted he is taking a huge risk by going to a Derby side that look destined for the drop, but that's on him.
  16. Weird game. Rovers arguably unfortunate to be 2 nil down here, and could easily be at least level or leading had the 'offside' goal been correctly given. A few thoughts: Toth is absolutely worse than Pears. Cantwell having an absolute stinker. Seems to happen more often than not. Can't pick a pass and dallies on the ball in dangerous positions. Forshaw and Buckley actually doing ok for the most part. Kargbo while clearly a lively sort, you can tell he has no end product. Is at least exciting in that he runs at players. Dennis looks decent enough for someone who has barely played any football in 9 months. Wolves somewhat fortunate but they showed quality when they needed to.
  17. Indeed, this season is now starting to have the same feel as the one when Lambert was in charge. We all know what happened after that.
  18. Think I'd prefer Damien Johnson over that clown!
  19. Yeah that's probably the more likely outcome than anything. Rooney is going into punditry by the sounds of it, which tbf he is probably better at than managing / coaching!
  20. The scariest part about all of this is the list of managers currently available should the worst happen and Eustace does leave. We'd end up with Gerard or Rooney. Christ
  21. If Derby are prepared to pay up for him then Eustace will probably go. I would assume the only reason he hasn't gone anywhere else yet is because other interested clubs didn't want to pay the compensation. Let's be realistic, if WBA had wanted to pay up then he'd be there now instead of still at Rovers. It'll sum up the situation at the club if they lose a manager to a team currently in the bottom 3 when Rovers sit in the top 6 at this moment in time. Pretty embarrassing really.
  22. Hopefully the new signings all get a decent amount of minutes in this one, we certainly need to rest some regulars. That being said, I don't think Eustace will play a vastly different team, and as much as I'd like to rest Travis ahead of an important game at West Brom, the idea of Forshaw and Buckley starting together scares the hell out of me. Toth JRC Batth Hyam Ribeiro Travis Forshaw Dolan Woodrow Kargbo Gueye I don't think Dennis will start. For him to come in and start against premier league side after not playing a competitive game since last season is a big ask IMO. Expecting him to come off the bench though. Gueye against premier league defenders should be entertaining at least! On the midfield...here's the thing: I don't rate Forshaw at all, probably one of the worst signings we've made in years....BUT I do think he's more suited to the Tronstad role than Buckley, which is why I've got him starting over Buckley and alongside Travis. It is a bit like picking between two turds unfortunately 😂. I think Wolves will have too much on the day. I'll go 0-2 defeat.
