  1. Honestly, what is it going to take for some of these people to see the reality of the situation. Venky's have dragged this club through the mud and yet there are still people out there that think everything is fine. I can't wrap my head around the idea that there are people out there that think Rovers are better off remaining under their disastrous ownership. It's got nothing to do with fans thinking that the club deserves to be in the prem because they won it once. Those days are long gone even if the club was run well, I think pretty much everyone understands that. I personally would take dropping down to League Two if it meant getting new and proper owners that care about the club. It saddens me deeply that there are supposed Rovers fans out there that think sticking with Venky's is the best option.
  2. Respectfully Chaddy, neither of us are the ones who essentially said 'we will win because we beat them last season' as though there is some sort of magical correlation between the two fixtures 😂. Thinking Rovers will win is one thing, and fair play if that's what you think....but why even mention last season's result when its completely irrelevant, old news. You don't half set yourself up for it sometimes.
  3. Two of the goalscorers on that day are no longer at the club. 5 of the starting 11 are no longer at the club. 3 of which were the back 4. I admire your optimism but saying that we will win this and using last seasons result as the reason is a hell of a reach. Millwall have been a bit hit and miss recently, which gives me some hope.
  4. Rovers 1 - 1 Millwall. Gudjohnsen with the goal. Predicted team: Pears Miller McLoughlin Pratt Hedges Tronstad Baradji Morishita Cantwell Ohashi Gudjohnsen If Hedges still out then I guess swap in Gardner-Hickman for him.
  5. Pleased to St. Mirren in yesterday. Always refreshing to see a different side lift a trophy in Scotland that isn't Celtic or Rangers. Celtic certainly appear to have shot themselves in the foot in the short term with the appointment of Nancy. They had caught Hearts and I have no doubt they'd not have lost that game with O'Neill in charge. He seemed to have revitalised them in recent weeks only for a new guy to come in and set them back again. Hearts have a huge opportunity in the league now.
  6. Classic. He also wanted 90% of summer business done before pre-season.
  7. That's absolutely fair enough, nobody should do anything they don't want to....but equally don't pretend that 3 points does anything but paper over the cracks of the sh*tshow ownership at Rovers. Pure head in the sand mindset that.
  8. Presumably you were disgusted at what Reading fans did a couple of years ago?...and Blackpool fans a few years back under the Oyston ownership. Yet I don't recall any swathes of negativity in the press about what those fans did. If anything there was increased support for them and more of a spotlight put on the ownerships at those clubs.
  9. It's basically a rumour started by a commentator and we have no idea where they got that from given it hasn't been mentioned anywhere else. It would be good news if it happened, but it doesn't really change anything in terms of the trajectory the club is following at the moment.
  10. No he hasn't. If anything he's been a hindrance every time he's stepped foot on the pitch. I imagine they were trying as Ismael clearly hasn't fancied him since he came in. Aside from a brief spell last season that peaked with WBA away, Gueye has been a woeful signing who simply hasn't developed any sort of intelligence to play at this level. He's also the type of player who clearly needs an arm round his shoulder and I'm not sure Ismael is the type. Ohashi and Gudjohnsen desperately need decent competition so that when substitutions happen it doesn't completely derail the team in an attacking sense. Shame we flogged Leonard to Peterborough really as he would've been a better option than Gueye IMO.
  11. Just looking ahead to the fixtures for the reast of the season, those final 9 games make for very bleak viewing. Millwall away Boro at home Brum away WBA at home Stoke away Coventry at home Sheff United away Southampton away Leicester at home The fact that they've not managed to beat any of the teams around them has me thinking it's inevitable that they go down this season.
  12. Agree with previous post from Kidder. Last season when the fans targeted the 3 execs it caused a bit of a stir and forced them into that woeful interview. However as always with Rovers fans, as soon as the club string a few positive results together the pressure dies off. I could understand it to a certain degree with last season because there were still faint hopes of a playoff place, but this time round there really is no excuse to not be putting sustained pressure on Suhail and Gestede.
  13. Given Alebiosu is gonna be missing for a few games I don't see much other option. Miller at RWB scares the hell out of me.
  14. 1 win in 7 is it now? Piss poor. Millwall and Boro next up 😂
  15. I think Morishita at LWB in Hedges absence would be a better option than De Neve. De Neve is playing at least one division above his level. Hopefully Hedges is back soon.
  16. Tronstad will go. There is no reason to think otherwise based on how the club dealt with Travis, Hyam, Brittain, Dolan, Brereton Diaz, etc. He may well fancy sticking around but the club more than likely won't offer him some deserved improved terms.
  17. No chance he gets sacked. Imagine Tronstad isn't quite fit enough to start, and who knows with Baradji.
  18. The way Gueye hit that when compared to pretty much everyone else just sums him up. No footballing intelligence at all.
  19. The alarming thing for me is that although they may be sitting outside the bottom 3 at the moment, Rovers have failed to beat any of the teams from 15th place down, excluding Portsmouth and Sheffield Wednesday of course who they are yet to complete a 90 minutes against. 5 of those games were at Ewood as well. Of those 7 matches, 5 were at Ewood if I'm not mistaken, and 4 of them were defeats. We better hope that away form keeps up for the season, otherwise relegation seems the most likely outcome.
  20. I didn't think it could get worse, but unless the club actually stumps up the cash to fix the drainage problems, then we're going to be seeing more abandoned games on the regular at Ewood, essentially taking away watching Rovers play from the fans. It is pathetic. If the game goes ahead then I suspect it'll be a score draw: 1-1. Gudjohnsen for Rovers.
