  1. Agreed. Been a huge let down and seems to be more of a problem than a help to the team. All is forgiven if he bags the winner next weekend though and it propels us into the top 6 ๐Ÿ˜‚.
  2. Anything can happen on the final day, that's for sure. I still feel Rovers will just miss out, but credit to them for putting themselves right in there with a chance once again. Sheffield United may rest some players ahead of the play-offs, given the playoffs start on the following Thursday for them. Ultimately Rovers would still need to put in a hell of a performance to get a win at Brammall Lane, somewhere that hasn't been a particularly happy hunting ground in recent years. There's also a scenario where Brereton Diaz scores to shut down any playoff hopes for this season ๐Ÿ˜‚. As funny a it would be for Preston to go down, we need them to do the job at Bristol City, assuming that Leeds win on Monday night as well. What a strange season this has been!
  3. That defeat at home to Cardiff looks so awful now, given they've not win since either and gone down today. Throw in the home defeat to Hull as well, two games of a handful that I think we'll look back on as 'what if' moments.
  4. Well done Rovers! I might not particularly like Ismael's demeanour but credit to him for turning things round after an awful start to his time at the club. With how Dolan is finishing the season its a real shame he probably isn't sticking around.
  5. Coventry win incoming. Luton's heads will go after that red card.
  6. So Gueye is injured then. If its not serious then I can imagine he might be someone that Ismael wants to get rid of in the summer as he just doesn't seem to have taken to him at all. Dennis to come off the bench and either score, get injured again, or sent off ๐Ÿ˜‚.
  7. Of course. My point was that Rovers 'should' be ging out there to put Watford to the sword. Whether they will or not we'll find out on Saturday.
  8. Watford have been extremely patchy as of late and likely 'on the beach' at this point. Not a good away record overall either so they should be there for the taking really with Rovers now in good form and looking much steadier again. My prediction is Rovers sign off at Ewood with a 2-1 win. Ohashi and Dolan with the goals. Predicted line-up: Toth Brittain Batth Hyam Ribeiro Travis Tronstad Dolan Cantwell Hedges Ohashi
  9. I wouldn't be too surprised if Rovers have a sniff of the playoffs going into the last day. Top 6 won't happen but at least they have stopped the rot and turned things around to hopefully end the season positively. At the start of the campaign I think most would've accepted a top half finish after last season as being a great improvement...but the narrative of the season and the way things have panned out at the club means it's yet another 'what could've been' effort.
  10. Bloody hell. If Preston lose today then they are right in it if things stay the same elsewhere.
  11. Cardiff have sacked their manager. Of course their last win was against Rovers ๐Ÿ˜‚.
  12. I think Coventry reinvested the money from Gyokores and other sales quite well, so I understand why they are up there....but you are correct on Bristol City. They are no better than Rovers really but have hit form at just the right time.
  13. Must keep his place. Two games, no obvious clangers dropped. No reason to put Calamity Pears back in. Lol, Preston lose late on by the looks of it.
  14. We can get 68 with 3 games left after this...but its all irrelevant because it won't happen.
  15. Some of those defeats to relegation battling sides look even bloody worse right now. Hull Cardiff Stoke Derby Oxford Plymouth Portsmouth Christ.
  16. Rooney's actually not bad as a pundit compared to some of the other dross on the tele and radio (Danny Murphy). He should stick to punditry.
  17. I'm glad Plymouth won at the weekend, it keeps it very exciting down there. I suspect Derby's final 4 games will be massively influential in who goes down as they play 3 of their relegation rivals.
  18. Hopefully Ohashi is available, as it'd be a real shame to see his season end early after hitting a bit of form. Predicted team: Toth JRC Batth Hyam Ribeiro Travis Tronstad Dolan Cantwell Hedges Ohashi If Ohashi is out then Gueye to come in. I'll go for a 1-1 draw. EDIT: Gah, just seen on the summer transfer thread that Ohashi's season is done apparently.
  19. There is no loyalty in football. However, to be fair to Dolan, he can only sign a deal with the club if they offer him agreeable terms. Can you see Suhail and Waggott offering him a good enough deal to stay at the club? I can't. Based on some of the stuff Elliott Bennett came out with on a podcast recently in regards to his departure from the club, and then Connor Mahoney on the Blackburn End podcast talking about why he didn't stay at Rovers, then I'd hazard a guess that they are trying to be cheap about any new deal for Dolan, and the player probably knows he can get better terms elsewhere as well.
  20. Feel for Kaminski, but he seems to have struggled this season. That being said, I wonder if he's got a relegation release clause if they drop down to League One ๐Ÿ˜….
  21. I do believe this win puts Ismael on the exact same record after 8 league games as another 'outstanding candidate'...Owen Coyle ๐Ÿ˜‚.
