Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach
sharpysharps86 replied to DE.'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I stopped believing anything the club say a long time ago. It'll be Suhail's call ultimately. -
2025-26 Relegation thread

I've felt it for pretty much most of the season. The run over the festive period confirmed it for me. -

1 win in 12. Ismael has to go. -

There's just no way on this planet that any half decent head coach picks De Neve over two far more experienced players in Pickering or Ribeiro. De Neve and Henriksson are League Two AT BEST. He is absolutely trying to get the sack by continuously selecting these players. -

Absolutely. Interestingly, looking back at Coyle's results from that season, I don't think he ever had a run of 1 win in 12. 2 in 12 yes, but never worse than that. Ismael simply has to go. -

What's more alarming is that Alebiosu was shipped out on loan to Scotland while De Neve was a regular at Kortrijk. No wonder they got relegated. -

Game over after 12 minutes. Reminiscent of Derby away last season. Listen I know its Ipswich, and zero points was expected today....but what will this be, 1 win in 12 for Ismael? Time to go. -

Crikey. That line-up is something else. De Neve and Henriksson both start, TGH at RWB. I didn't expect anything today but that seals it. Ipswich to win at a canter. -
The January 2026 Transfer Window
sharpysharps86 replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Surely at least one of these 2 is a loan - the Toulouse player seems the more likely. Pleased it looks like we're bringing in an actual striker, just a shame they lack Championship experience. -

Seems a decent player based on the info out there. Still need a couple of strikers though. -

Unable to read it as they've limited who can view their posts, assuming it's because I don't follow them. Is it Nixon? -

Ipswich 3-0 Rovers. They are bang in form at the perfect time while Coventry are stumbling a little. Fully expect them to put Rovers to the sword unfortunately. Predicted team: Toth O'Riordan McLoughlin Cashin Miller Tronstad TGH Pickering Baradji Cantwell Ohashi -
Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas
sharpysharps86 replied to DuffsLeftPeg's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
They just don't get it. It's got nothing to do with expectations of where the club should be at all IMO. We all dream of being back in the premier league, of course we do, and there have been opportunities to make that happen in recent seasons that Venky's have well and truly ballsed up....but that aside, all I care about is to have owners and those running the club that are decent, honest people that have the club's best interests at heart. It is clear that the current ownership and those based at Ewood are not decent and honest, and do not have the club's best interests at heart. Simple as that. -

0 league goals this season so that's definitely happening 😅 -

If Baradji does sign permanently, I imagine he is planned to be Cantwell's replacement as the latter will likely be shipped out in the summer. For what it's worth, I think Baradji is a good player. Not exactly the deal that we needed to do this month though! -
Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach

Agreed. There will be coaches out there that could come in and do a better job than Ismael. The question is whether Rovers are capable of appointing one... 😅 -

Read he did his ACL in December 2024...missed the remainder of last season as a result, so has probably been set back in his development since. -

Only post I can see on that cesspit of a platform is from that Howard_RV person that was suggested to be Mercer at one point. -

Keillor-Dunn has good pedigree in League's One and Two, but to my knowledge he hasn't ever played in the Championship. At 28 this is a risk...but then I suppose I'd prefer it to some random striker from the Belgian 2nd division. -
Painful Acceptance
sharpysharps86 replied to Devon Rover's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Think I can certainly put myself in the category of almost giving up. I can absolutely relate to a lot of what has been said in the posts above. My son, age 9, is not into football at all. He has his own special interests, so the love for Rovers in my family will end with me. I do find myself questioning 'what's the point' now, when all supporting Rovers seems to bring me is misery. -
