  1. Not good enough. Ismael needs removing not that it'll happen. A draw is not enough from another must win home game. Coming back from 2 nil down only papers over the cracks. Pleased for Baradji.
  2. Toth not starting. Ismael should be sacked for that alone. Pathetic.
  3. They've decided against signing him permanently at the price quoted by Liverpool, but they have an obligation to buy him at that price if he plays so many minutes, that's why he's not featuring for them anymore. Disappointing move for him. Emery was quoted as saying they'd decided against a permanent deal in September, so what on earth was the point? Just wasting the players time.
  4. It's only rumoured to have been agreed according to one twitter profile. Nixon also linked him but that's all.
  5. Bit of a meh signing if true, so it probably is. Is Cashin a better option at CB than anyone currently playing there for Rovers?
  6. Nah this is actually funny.
  7. Here we go again. Can Rovers actually beat a team in the bottom half, at home?? Feels doubtful. Lose here and Ismael's position becomes completely untenable...at any other club. Rovers 0 - 2 Charlton.
  8. For me - people that care about the club and aren't completely and utterly incompetent would be good.
  9. JRC equalises for Charlton against Coventry.
  10. Credit to Wrexham. Missing key players, they were fully in control. Just very simple stuff as well from them, they were just well drilled and committed. Rathbone epitomised everything I want to see in a Rovers player.
  11. Mowbray, whether people like him or not, is at least twice the manager / coach that Ismael is. I would have him back for the rest of the season in a heartbeat. At any other club, Ismael would be under intense pressure.
  12. Pears should be dropped and Toth back in for Charlton. Miller is simply not a footballer. Completely inept. Atcheson should start next game ahead of him, who looked way ahead of Miller technically. Cantwell needs selling, never mind dropping. They're a better team without the resident show pony. McLoughlin a clear downgrade on what we had at CB last season. Hedges back to being Hedges we all know. Pickering ineffective as his replacement. Tronstad looks to have given up. Baradji improved in the 2nd half but again, really poor overall. Henriksson, I feel for being shunted up front and out of position, but again, completely useless. Ohashi, for all his effort has no intelligence. Terrible first touch, zero goal threat. Pratt and Litherland - no real blame attached to them. They're inexperienced young academy lads chucked in at the deep end. All in all - relegation looms.
  13. Aitcheson looks twice the player Miller is.
  14. Sam Smith, not even Wrexham's first choice striker and he looks a million miles ahead of Ohashi, or any other forward at Rovers.
  15. Oh look the defender they sold without replacing on deadline day just got a crucial touch on Baradji's strike.
  16. He is such a soft touch. Then you look at the opposite end of the pitch and see Hyam in the same position for Wrexham. What a downgrade.
  17. Zero energy, intensity, intelligence, commitment. All summed up by Cantwell as captain. No options off the bench to change it, and a head coach who is continuously shown up by bang average managers at this level. On that first half showing they'll get relegated and deservedly so.
  18. I'm absolutely disgusted by them. The club from top to bottom is rotten as f*ck.
  19. Give me an Ollie Rathbone over Cantwell any day of the week.
  20. Good grief this is absolutely woeful. I get the injuries, but there's no intensity out there, no energy being shown aside from Ohashi's usual.
  21. Surprised Baradji is starting given he faded so quickly the other night. Other than that, pretty much as expected. First game of 2026 and wearing a PNE kit is something else.
  22. Rovers 1 - 2 Wrexham. Cantwell penalty. Predicted team: Pears Miller McLoughlin Pratt Litherland Tronstad TGH Hedges Cantwell Ohashi Henriksson Lots of effort, not nearly enough quality.
  23. Thanks had not seen that post, but did discover the following on the kit history website: "This account of the club's first colours is contradicted by an account found in the Blackburn Standard, January 6 1894, discovered by Kjell Hanssen, which states: The club was founded in December 1874 at the St Leger Hotel, in King William street as “The Rovers Football Club, Blackburn.” Mr Thomas Greenwood was elected captain, Walter Duckworth secretary, and Johnny Lewis treasurer. The dress decided upon at that time was navy blue and white quartered jersey, white knickers, and navy blue hose." Respectfully, and regardless - if you were in charge of the design of the 150th anniversary shirt, would you go with the clubs supposed first ever shirt that's never actually been seen in any photograph, or the club's iconic shirt design that has lasted since the 1800s?
