Wish I could like this twice, once because I think I agree with every word you wrote, but mainly because you correctly said "champing" instead of "chomping" 🙂 -

Maybe Gilsenan instead of Markanday and switch him and Hedges, but very close I think -
Dilan Markanday.. potential talent or ?

Until seeing that comment, I was genuinely wondering if he had stamped on your foot in the past or stolen you pie and you were holding a grudge 😉 -

Verbruggen is highly rated and cost over £10M ,but is still only 20 (21 later this month) which is very young for a keeper, it will be interesting to see how long he takes to displace Steele, surely it is only a matter of time. Can see Steele starting as #1 (purely through experience) but Verbruggen displacing him over the next year after getting some starts in the cups

Jon Dahl Tomasson - Sweden coach

Where has that twitter account got those figures from? The latest available accounts don't show that, and that then begs the question of how would someone know? I can appreciate that if someone worked for one of the clubs (or accountancy firms that works for one of the clubs) then they could conceivably have access to that one clubs financial details, but that doesn't explain how they would have any clue about the other 23 teams -
Your Expectations for this Season?

on his hands -
A lot of that may be due to a lack of height in our own team, especially yesterday. Not much point swinging a high ball in when we only have 2 players over 6 foot

Did JDT walk away from his contract at Malmo or leave at the end of his contract? I don't know, but it might give an indication of what he may do at Rovers -

Judging by pre season, Ben Benson has just told them to take all corners short and try and dribble it into the box and JRC to go for goal with any central free kicks -

Surely you mean no left foot? He is right footed! -

anyone? -
Still would have thought that either Markanday or Hedges would start today (and the other one would start tomorrow) unless we have another injury? Same applies to Gallagher/Leonard/Ennis

He was signed for the U21s, to allow Leonard and Vale to step up to the first team squad

It looks like they went out on a bender in a cocktail bar the night before, and what they consumed last night has "resurfaced" -

https://sqaf.club/amortisation-football/ The link above on amortisation explains how this is done, but the overly simple way of looking at things is fees received from selling players are counted on the current years accounts (minus his "book value"), but fees spent on new players are split over the length of a players contract (up to a maximum of 5 years). So if a club sells a forward for £20M, they can technically buy a dozen new players for a combined £100M all on 5 year contracts and remain FFP compliant at least for the first season (they may have issues for each subsequent season as they have to find £20M income to offset against the £20M/year spend that they are already committed to on top of whatever they spend going forwards)

It has certainly looked more like a 4-3-3 than a 4-2-3-1, the extra man, and getting Adam Wharton on the ball will hopefully mean we don't get overrun in central midfield areas this season, and Szmodics can still break forwards

Still seems strange, I understand after his Man Utd experience why he would not want to be a squad player at a top English club again, but surely could have got himself a Champions League club (where he would be in the first 11) in Italy, France, Portugal, Spain, Germany etc, Turkey is a few rungs down from those. He may as well have moved to the old firm albeit he will have much nicer weather in Istanbul
