With Pickering being injured (possibly long term), and Rovers wanting to loan Batty out for experience, maybe Gent will be recalled from his loan at Motherwell where he sees to have done well. Their fans seem to like him anyway https://www.steelmenonline.co.uk/forums/topic/18753-motm-alloa-athletic-20-jan-2024 -

I don't remember our set pieces being anything other than terrible since Mulgrew left. Although he did spoil us. Speaking of Mulgrew, he wants to get into management/coaching, surely he could do a job as a set piece coach? https://www.67hailhail.com/news/charlie-mulgrew-shares-social-media-post-after-recent-visit-to-celtic-training/ https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/charlie-mulgrew-mystery-celtic-training-31092579 -

There is the possibility (although I would certainly not bet my house on it) that Leonard was "warming up" in order to pass instructions to the players on the pitch Or more likely, he was simply cold and wanted to be warmer -

Bolton play 5-3-2, so would imagine Ennis would partner Dion Charles -

It was meant to be the Brazilian team (one of Man Citys feeder teams hence the venue) Vs Rangers, but Rangers pulled out last minute and Rovers filled in Hopefully as Rovers did City a favour they can let us have a good youngster on a freebie to say thank you, lol -

I would guess at Leonard and Ennis coming off the left and Gally & Telalovic up front (could in theory be the other way around but very unlikely JDT will change his formation based on his recent comments) 1st half/2nd half Pears/Wahlsted Brittain/JRC Carter/Hyam Gamble/S.Wharton Pickering/Chrisene A.Wharton/Tronstad Ayari/Edmondson Markanday/Moran Szmodics/Garrett Leonard/Ennis Gallagher/Telalovic -

"2nd game" was a 2-1 loss (although it was really 1 game where Rovers fielded different 11s in each half rather than 2 separate games) https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2024/january/17/report--rovers-3-3-ec-bahia/ No Sigurdsson in either lineup, wonder if he is ill/injured now? ROVERS (FIRST HALF): Pears, Brittain, Carter, Gamble, Pickering, A. Wharton, Ayari, Markanday, Szmodics, Leonard, Gallagher. Goals: Markanday (33), A. Wharton (37) ROVERS (SECOND HALF): Wahlstedt, Rankin-Costello, Hyam, S. Wharton, Chrisene, Tronstad, Edmondson, Garrett, Moran, Ennis, Telalovic. Goal: Telalovic (54) -

Very true, they get a lot right, but they buy in several "young cheap punts" (cheap by Premier League standards) each year, Some work, some don't, and they rightly get plaudits for the ones they get right, taking a chance on youngsters, etc. But they are not infallible. Ayari for me looks like a very skilful & technical player, but lightweight, like Moran. and not what Rovers need right now. Hopefully I am proved wrong -

Given that they are using the Intersectional pride flag, I would hazard a guess that they may view any protests against the Venkys as being racist -
I did say hope 😉
-
Sorry to be a pedant, but if anyone stays for the full duration of their contract, they have no sell on value... as they are out of contract and therefore by definition a free agent 😉 Surely the hope with any player is to sell them before they are out of contract 😉

He isn't. He is their captain currently, missed the last game with suspension https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/anel-ahmedhodzic/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/377468/wettbewerb/GB1/saison/2023 -
There was a story in the telegraph this week that Weston may be going out on loan, so maybe he was not involved as something is moving forwards on that front? https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/24043617.blackburn-will-listen-loan-offers-six-young-players/
-
Ennis and Telalovic up front, Markanday (right) and Batty (left) wide. Batty moved to left back when Gilsenan came on. Like the first team is at least meant to function, the wide forwards often do come inside.
-
Batty on the wing and 2 up front?

if you have a vpn, Spain is a lovely destination for an afternoon break, your season pass will work if you can get there 😉 https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2024/january/12/watch-baggies-battle-live-on-roverstv/

Cullen does work hard (like Gally), but he has a year option which could be triggered by Swansea at any time (also like Gally) and is apparently in talks over a longer deal with Swansea anyway https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/swanseacity/news/61177/the-case-for-liam-cullen-continues--how-close-is-he-to-a-new-contract- -

I think your memory is playing tricks on you. Last season Gally played 39 times, 26 as a centre forward, 4 on the wing, and the other 9 from the bench. This season he has played 6 in total, 3 as a centre forward, and 3 from the bench -
