  1. maybe I should have put "disappointed" in inverted commas?
  2. If, after 2 days of waiting , we don't get an Axel F (Henriksson) Crazy Frog related reveal, I will be disappointed
  3. instead it all goes to his partner. As I said, he is quite good
  4. Also the figures quoted in the media tend to be if and when every single additional add on has been achieved (promotion, international caps, 50+ league appearances etc). Bigger numbers sound more sensational and exciting so get more click/sell more papers etc The initial fee will likely be at most, 60% of any quoted fee, and that will be split over 3 years
  5. Most loans (especially the cheaper ones for clubs with no money to pay huge loan fees) happen at the end of the window once the parent clubs have run out of more lucrative options of where to send their players
  6. Don't think we are getting one At most, we might end up with a Cozier-Duberryesc loan to come off the bench to change things up
  7. Henriksson is an attacking midfielder, not a deep lying one Our Scandinavian forum members over the weekend also thought he will likely play as one of the 3 behind the striker
  8. Specifically states "move from Axel Henriksson will put the brakes on any deal for Moussa Baradji, at least for now." "unless Rovers were to sell Mafoumbi, a deal for Baradji or any other player that doesn’t hit the GBE criteria is off the table." Which is exactly what we were saying on here yesterday
  9. Ayala πŸ˜‰ Look what happened to our results in the spell he was out of the team in the 2nd half of that season Hyam isn't a bad player, he is quite good, but he is not an organiser. So its no surprise that our defence looks more solid when we have a Batth/Fadz/Ayala in there too
  10. and when that day happens, Rovers via social media will claim it a victory for our expanded scouting network
  11. Swedish guy will play "right wing" I think, but narrower Out of possession Ohashi De Neve Cantwell Henriksson Tronstad Travis/Baradji Ribeiro McLoughlin Hyam Miller Toth In Possession Ohashi Cantwell Henriksson De Neve Tronstad Travis/Baradji Miller Ribeiro McLoughlin Hyam Toth
  12. Impossible! Sales do not impact the budget πŸ˜‰
  13. Yep, normally you might manage to sell him to a newly promoted team, but given all 3 of them look stronger than usual, then best they can manage may be a loan with an option to a Huddersfield/Stockport etc
  14. Probably spacing out all the incommings, as it will be our last one until Travis is sold late in the window, and we have a flurry of teenage loanees arrive on deadline day
  15. In which case, I blame a lack of coffee, and your mind being sharpened by watching Indian court case drama
  16. In all fairness, the question was do players the Scottish league ever do well in England Fair to say that Tugay might have been the best of those, (maybe Van Dijk runs him close?) The fact that 95% of players from the Scottish league are not particularly good doesn't change that
  17. He will be playing right back Watch his interview, specifically mentions getting forward at every opportunity up and down the line What is maybe in question is his delivery once he is forwards
  18. Pretty sure It's mostly based on form, weighted by recency and division "Supercomputer" is just another word for "Excel spreadsheet"
  19. Did we do the World a disservice in not continuing the expansion of the British Empire? This wouldn't have happened in my day πŸ˜‰
  20. Thanks πŸ™‚ Yes we do, have amended my post
  21. In order to maintain 4 esc slots after this season, English qualifying players (EQP) would need to play in at least 35% of minutes in the Championship for Rovers this season. This equates to a little under 16000 minutes. Any less, and the number of allocated esc slots will drop. This may be an issue. Following the departure of Brittain, Dolan, Batth etc and with seemingly Pickering & Pears no longer being regular starters, as I only see Travis & Cantwell as "guaranteed" English qualifying starters, So even if they both remain & play in every single minute of every single Championship game, that is only just over half of these minutes (8280 minutes) & if either of those leave, they are likely to be replaced by an non qualifying player. Whilst some of those remaining minutes will be covered by subs./rotation etc (Carter, Wharton, Pickering, Forshaw, Tyjon, Alebiosu etc), This may be an extra reason why Gestede was so interested in increasing the minutes for U21 players (who are in the main English qualifying), as not doing so will derail any future transfer plans and leave them having to shop in more expensive (British & those who qualify for work permits automatically) markets * Obviously this makes the rather precarious assumption that Rovers consider events at least a year in the future ** If we have 4 ESC players but our number of slots is then reduced, we can still keep those 4 ESC players (thank you WilsdenRover), although if we sell/convert them, we cannot replace those slots until our minutes are back up to the required levels https://analyticsfc.co.uk/blog/2023/06/21/introducing-esc-the-new-gbe-guidance-opens-up-recruitment-post-brexit/ 2024/25 onwards Criteria However, from this season onwards clubs will be able to plan for the number of ESC slots that they have, with the possibility that they could only have one if the number of minutes for EQP is lower than 20%. Number of available ESC places Weighted EQP minutes % Premier League Championship League One League Two >= 35% 4 4 2 2 >= 30% 3 3 1 1 >= 25% 2 2 – – >= 20% 1 1 – –
