  1. lost 3-2, Strich & Rhys Doherty for Rovers. I did watch the first half and Dunn looked very good, taking the ball off the defence in tight spaces and spraying passes all over
  2. Starts tonight for O'Riordan - won 2-1 Olson - drew 3-3 On the bench Markanday - won 3-2, came on at half time with the score at 1-1, and scored the 3rd Gamble - won 2-0 Atcheson - lost 1-0 Not involved in matchday squad Montgomery was mentioned as being injured last week It is worth noting that Cambridge's and Chesterfield's games are in the EFL trophy, so they are heavily rotated teams
  3. Alex Baker on the bench after being injured for 2-3 years. No Litherland or O'Grady-Macken, so they may be with the first team again
  4. Rovers U21s play Oldham in the National League Cup tonight. Free stream here with a 7pm kick off This means the 2nd half clashes with the first half of the first team game, but I am fairly certain that the game is still available to watch for a while after it finishes (I can see full games for matches that were played a month ago so see no reason why this would not also apply this game)
  5. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2024/december/09/academy-sides-progress-in-premier-league-cup/ some big wins for the U17s & U16s. Both finished top of their groups
  6. https://www.linkedin.com/in/daniel-dodds-3513b9134/?originalSubdomain=uk Dortmund's recruitment in general is good His job role states he specialises scouting in the UK and Scandinavia, Although it looks as though he moved to Dortmund after they signed Bellingham, and I can only see Maatsen as someone who they signed based on his "areas"
  7. https://www.linkedin.com/in/john-doolan-b352936a/?originalSubdomain=uk Apparently John Doolan has been Brighton's "centre forward scouting manager" for just under 2 years. during which time, they signed two centre forwards, Georginio Rutter & Joao Pedro (for a combined £80M) who were both pretty stand out players in the Championship. Not sure how much scouting they would have needed beyond owning a television 😉 Before that, he was with Everton for a few years, and their recruitment in recent years has been far from stellar. Doesn't look like he was plucking unknown bargains out of Outer Mongolia or Timbuktu, which is likely the market Rovers will be reduced to
  8. Good away win in terrible conditions, I thought it was interesting that Beck played the Pickering role at left back (tucking inside rather than bursting forwards) Why is it that Gueye seems to have a decent first touch, but every other touch gets increasingly worse?
  9. I like him, box to box midfielder who can also play as a 10. fairly aggressive, has a goal in him However, I think he will remain on the bench (unless Rovers are 3 goals up towards the end of the game). Same applies to Litherland
  10. Starts today for Markanday won 3-0, Markanday got an assist Gamble 2-2 after 90 mins, lost on penalties Olson 0-0 after 90 mins, won on penalties Edmondson 0-0 after 90 mins, lost on penalties Powell won 3-2 Honor lost 2-0 Saadi game abandoned whilst they were 2-0 down On the bench O'Riordan won 4-1 Not involved in matchday squad Batty lost 2-1 Vale won 1-0 Wood drew 1-1 Match postponed Garrett Eastham Mullarkey-Matthews Michalski & Ramwell No game today Atcheson & Montgomery
  11. Payments to the previous clubs of our current players based on performance. As you state, promotion bonuses would be the main part, but also also things such as players scoring set amounts of goals, making a certain amount of appearances/starts etc
  12. Olson has gone back on loan to Altrincham, and Teddy Ramwell has been loaned to City of Liverpool Both until 04/01/2025 https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2024/december/05/young-duo-agree-loan-deals/
  13. Start this evening for Saadi lost on penalties after a 0-0 draw Vale still injured
  14. Starts tonight for Markanday lost 3-0 Chesterfield went down to 10 men after 24 minutes Honor lost 2-1 On the bench Garrett lost 3-0 Garrett came on for the last 10 minutes whilst already 3-0 down O'Riordan lost 3-0 Not involved in matchday squad Batty lost 5-2
  15. Thanks for the match review 🙂 Always appreciated 2 first year scholars (Mansbridge & Sergeant), & 2 who will hopefully be 1st year scholars next season (Higgins & Eze) Eze only turned 16 in September so would have just missed the cut off to be allowed to sign as a 1st year as the cut offs are based on school years
  16. Shame about conceding the late equaliser, but given that Preston had 4 or 5 from the first team squad in that side, and Rovers brought two from our U16s (Higgins & Eze) off the bench, that's not a terrible result. Higgins with a goal on his debut, Stritch with 2 and O'Grady-Macken with the other
  17. Score update in case Rovers twitter account does not follow the game
  18. If Fergusson gets a loan, it will be to a bottom half Premier League team, not a cash starved Championship team. He signed a contract last season after he had established himself as a Premier League striker, which would come with Premier League wages. Well out of reach
  19. and then settle on Stevie G Yes I know he is on megamoney in the middle east so it wont happen
  20. Looks to be a non scoring striker to add to our collection, rather than a winger/wide player 3 goals in 30 games (all as a central striker) this season. Granted that many of those appearances were as sub and he is still a teenager
  21. "Playing" is exaggerating just a little 😉 a grand total of 39 minutes so far this season (which is still more than double what he managed with Rovers), none of those in the league. Currently out with a shin injury
  22. According to Wikipedia, Barrow was an emergency loan, so presumably early recall is allowed for those, but not standard window to window loans * BBC also state it was an emergency loan https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/33853355
  23. Squad: 8, Starting eleven: 0, Substituted in: 5, On the bench: 3, Suspended: 0, Injured: 7, Absence: 0 4 8/31/24 A (5.) Burnley (6.) 1:1 on the bench 5 9/14/24 H (3.) Middlesbrough (6.) 0:1 on the bench 18 11/30/24 H (8.) Leeds (3.) 1:0 on the bench He was getting minutes (if not starts) until his injury so it probably depends upon what happens between now and January https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/amario-cozier-duberry/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/878150/wettbewerb/GB2/saison/2024
