  1. He is on the bench, along with Ayari https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/live/cy080kpp0gxt#Line-ups Their first choice keeper is currently injured, but due back in a week or so, which would leave Rushworth as third choice
  2. It could be argued that Boggan is already at/past U18 level, he scored at hat trick v Wolves U21 in pre season, and a months loan (its a youth loan which is closer to work experience than a long term loan) away will give him a proper look at men's football so that he can look at how and what he has to work on to further develop his game Both the U18 and U21 leagues have no relegation, so being in an environment where results matter, and spots in the team are won based on performance rather than with the aim of developing players will be a useful experience for all of these players out on loan Edit - In fact it appears Boggan can also play for our youth teams, Davies also starting today
  3. If the answer to that is a "yes", then there needs to be a follow up question of "Why have they not yet done so"?
  4. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2024/august/23/report--rovers-under-21s-2-7-crystal-palace-under-21s/
  5. Some clarity about which games are available to who, and when https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2024/august/23/watch-our-oxford-encounter-on-roverstv-/
  6. Rangers last weekend
  7. Most of the pre season team is away on loan (Acheson, Michalski, Wood, Montgomery) or injured (Olsen, Tijon) I am sure I am probably missing one or 2 (edit - Boggan)
  8. Not surprised at all with Gally, does a good job (not scoring, but has strings to his bow) when he is fit (which seems to be less and less. Phillips I think will surprise you, he was apparently wanted on loan by Getafe who are a mid table laliga club (presumably as a squad player), so I do not think Spurs would have sent him to sit our your bench when he could have been doing the same (and possibly getting some minutes) at a "big 5" league
  9. It was fairly similar the last 2 seasons too, 18 year olds promoted to U21s (possibly even more this season given the number of outgoing loans) at the beginning of the season, who struggled up until xmas, but then did fairly well for the second half of the season
  10. Hi again, Its like groundhog day, another former Rover joining you guys, We still have Jack Vale Stokes available (seeing as you still look a striker light). He scored a cracker against Stockport in the cup the other week (click play below, it should be in the right place) but is firmly behind Gueye and Ohashi (both bought with the Gallagher money with enough change to get Weimann in for free too) in the pecking order here. RE Phillips. He is a centre back, Spurs will probably have it written into the loan agreement that is where he will have to feature Whilst he is fairly mobile, he is a big guy and would likely be exposed at full back (has the pace but maybe not the agility to play full back) but he would not look out of place at centre back at this level alongside an experienced partner/s. Definitely your best former Rovers pick up so far, even if we don't like him for jumping ship last summer
  11. Yes, very aware that JRC moving inside is deliberate, however, whilst I think this can work (once JRC is fully fit) when you have someone to go outside him (Brittain), my comment was in reply to a suggestion that JRC and Weimann played together down the right, which I think would leave us too narrow as I do not think that either of them have the tools to provide the necessary pace/width on the right that Brittain (for his faults) can offer Until JRC is fully fit, I would replace him with Weimann on the right side
  12. U21s play at 1pm https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2024/august/23/preview--rovers-under-21s-v-crystal-palace-under-21s/
  13. Good! He is not worth 20 odd grand a week, If he was, Rangers would not want rid If Rovers were paying even half of that, they have got a bad deal, about time we took advantage of a "desperate situation" at another club
  14. I am not sure that in the current tactical set up, that would give enough width, JRC has a tendency to drift inside (to very good effect) rather than stay wide (as does Weimann), which is why I think Brittain will be preferred at right back.
  15. Tom Atcheson called up for Northern Ireland U21s, (he is still only 17) Bold claim time - Barring injuries (to either himself or other Rovers players necessitating that he is brought back as cover), I think that there is every chance that he goes on loan to a League club in the second half of the season and gets a call up to the full Northern Ireland squad by the end of the season. https://www.irishfa.com/news/2024/august/u21s-squad-for-euro-qualifier-against-england-revealed
  16. Surely the Dingles player of the season last year was the "least bad", rather than "good" 😉
  17. Fits the profile of "fast wide player" (dubious decision making/final ball in my opinion, but if he didn't have this "quality" then a Championship move would not be on the cards), But if the reports of £2M and/or Leeds being interested, have any weight to them, then its unlikely at best
  18. Waggott brings Coyle and Kean back as joint head coaches, with Bradley Orr, Leon Best & Danny Murphy as their coaching team, whilst Anderson replaces Gestede as director of football?
  19. If that is the case, and with the rather large caveat that Rovers can spend more money on wages/signing fees etc after the court date postponement yesterday, then agreeing an end of contract move on a free (a price even Rovers can afford) is the way to go., His contract expires in January https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ryo-germain/profil/spieler/511448
  20. Rumours of an attitude problem and crashing his car at high speed whilst off his face on nitrous oxide last Christmas. hence why he didn't play for Ipswich in the second half of last season - allegedly https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/man-utd-brandon-williams-claims-inhaled-laughing-gas-high-speed-car-crash/blt1c94cae5d3c3faa3
  21. A couple/few years ago, someone suggested Luke Shaw, which may be one of, if not, the most out there suggestion I have seen on here.
