  1. What are your views on a manager whose team lose like that to 10 men ?
  2. The Venkys share price is down about 30% over the last month .
  3. Success is relative. I think Darlington fans do deserve some success - but they are not going to win the FA Cup.
  4. Rovers fans had a title win in 1995 and league cup in 2001. Newcastle fans have had nothing but are still there. I've had a quick look at past attendances at Ewood Park. Opening home game in 1984-85 v Carlisle had an attendance of 5,121. The 12,000 were nowhere to be seen.
  5. Crowds in the 80s fell everywhere down to hooliganism. Even clubs like Spurs and Arsenal had crowds like that.
  6. I disagree. I don't think there is any club that can match the loyalty of their supporters despite years and years of relative disappoitment.
  7. They haven't won anything since 1969. Yet still get 50,000 in the ground. To be fair, I think their fans do deserve success.
  8. Confirmed what ? Khod was doing his job.
  9. Two problems - nothing to back it up - and totally false about me. Are you saying people can post lies about other posters on the grounds that they can rebut ? Surely lies should not be tolerated full stop.
  10. Do you think it is ok to name other posters and say they are posting on behalf of the club - with nothing to back it up.
  11. No evidence that Tony is "god" - Venkys don't look at employees like that. Skillful use of the loan system is part and parcel of successful management in this division.
  12. I am afraid that anyone who tells the owner "straight what is needed" is clutching their P45 shortly afterwards. Bauer no doubt wanted a significant signing on fee and in any case is he better than Tosin ?
  13. The owners' track record shows they are unwilling to sanction significant transfer fees on defensive players - in those circumstances what alternative does a manager have ?
  14. If you look at the use of loan players in this division you will see that the likes of West Brom and Leeds actually have a greater reliance on them than we do.
  15. Hardly - there's been a significant improvement in our goals against record - down from 1.5 per game last season to 1.17 this.
  16. When do you think he should have written it ?
  17. Fair enough. We disagree on some things but you are courteous in your responses.
  18. We clearly are progressing - we must be top or very close on a table of the last 19 games. A lot of our players are of an age where it is reasonable to believe that there is significant improvement in them so I see no reason for thinking there is "no hope". Earlier this season you were challenging my opinion that there was no significant likelihood of a relegation struggle this season under Tony Mowbray; I have been proven right over that and continue to be of the view that under the present owners retaining Tony Mowbray as manager is a more likely route to promotion than moving him on.
  19. I've never seen anyone on here who thinks like that.
  20. Hope is what sustains football supporters - it has to in a division where only 3 of the 24 clubs will make the promised land - and I don't see any point being a supporter if you won't have room for hope. You and people like you seem to derive next to no pleasure from the experience of supporting our club. But then as Jimmy Armfield once put it "They don't have a crowd at Blackburn, they have a jury."
