1. The bind of club with supporter goes beyond other businesses - supporters not customers 2. See future offers -

Out of contract players receive a month's wages if they have not found a new club by the end of July. -

I think Lyle Taylor is looking for a lot more than we will offer. -

Yes, I agree. One other point . I don't think wage deferrals - as opposed to cuts- help with FFP. A wage deferred would still be expensed in the club's profit and loss account in the period for which it fell due - therefore the loss made by the club is not reduced. -

I stand to be corrected but I don't think "the Authorities" decide on FFP. Rather the FFP rules form part of the constitution/rules of the Championship and so can only be changed if 3/4 of the clubs vote accordingly - or more pertinently any rule change can be blocked by 7 clubs. If so, that opens up the possibility that if 7 clubs are confident that they can satisfy the rules even with the Covid hit there will be a competitive advantage in blocking the proposed change because they will not suffer points deductions unlike other clubs. -
Would be the biggest fight in Britain ever.

A Premier League club will always be able to outbid a club in the Championship. -

The club would like to but unfortunately it seems that money is talking(Leeds and Brighton) -
Football League Suspended

I have only returned to this board in the last couple of days but who isn't aware of the problems they face ? But it won't just be the lower leagues. I think the Championship will be vulnerable as well , and those looking for a large number of incomings to Rovers before next season I think are doomed to be disappointed. -

Unfortunately very injury prone so no surprise that the club could not take the risk. -
Football League Suspended

That's a very good question as a number of people have suggested that the greatest pressure on football below the top 2 divisions will come August/September time if there are no revenues incoming . I would support a loan from the government to keep clubs going, repayable from say 2 to 3 years time provided various conditions were met ; 1. Loan to be backed by a guarantee from the Premier League so no public money at risk. 2. Implementation of a salary cap. 3. No club permitted to pay transfer fees, signing on fees or agents fees until they have repaid all of any part of the loan they have accessed. -

I think the EFL are still working on the logistics which is why you have not yet received a communication with the detil. -

I think they get their wages in full - but an insurance company makes up part of the balance. -

According to a report in the newspapers 2 days ago season ticket holders at all clubs in the Championship will be able to see all remaining home and away on iFollow for free- that strikes me as a very fair compromise. -

Of the 3 bookmakers who quote odds for teams getting in to the playoffs the longest price for us is 5/1 - 1 chance in 6 - which after taking account of the percentage in the bookmakers' favour means they assess our chances as around 1 in 7 . The poor old dodo would love to have a chance as good as that ! -

A change is not necessarily going to result in improvement. Going from Allardyce to Kean, for example. But the point was more about the decision makers - who is left to actually make decisions if everyone gets the bullet from India ? -

Yes; something that the people who want everyone in sight sacked never seem to address is who then is left to appoint their replacements ? Mrs Desai ? -
