And yet despite that there are people on here who think the likes of Hughton and Pulis can hardly wait to get in through the door to take over as manager. They never learn. -

So what about the bottom half - they don't relegate half the division. We have got players like Armstrong, Nyambe, Travis, Rankin - Costello all improving so no reason why we can't kick on. -

It's the nature of football that more clubs are going to have disappointing seasons than succeed so to stick at it as a football supporter - and I know that you have for decades - requires a reasonable degree of optimism. In the words of John Cleese "It's not the despair I can't stand, it's the hope" ! -

We're 4 points off the playoffs with 17 games to go ! -

Thanks - no I wouldn't want me doing it either ! On a more serious note if it is correct that football people are expected to be involved in these negotiations it is just a further pointer to the absurd way the club is set up by the owners. I don't think Mowbray or any other football manager should be criticised if they are lacking at something that would not normally be associated with a manager's skillset. -

I got slaughtered on here for pointing out that mistake a few weeks ago. You see it all the time - I've even seen it in The Times. -

Yes - not that long ago it was practically a requirement before we signed a player. -
It's a results business and we got the 3 points. I don't understand why anybody is unhappy about that. I bet Millwall fans are wishing that Rowatt had been able to close their game last night out at half time.

The auditors have to audit the accounts in line with the law and accounting standards and FFP does not override that. Despite FFP the owners can put as much money as they like in to the club; the FFP constraints are on what can be lost. -
Spot on. Some people are just desperately searching for something to complain about.

He got it right because we won. Every game in the division last night was decided by one goal with Derby, Millwall and Sheffield Wednesday all losing after being ahead. Good managers are able to set their teams up to close out games and we should be thankful that we are now doing that.

Tim Flowers
Mashed Potatoes replied to Mashed Potatoes's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
That's a bit OTT - if Flowers was going to make it as a manager at this level I think it would have happened for him by now. -
Improved game management has been a significant factor in our progress this season and showed through once again - that sort of game might well have been a draw last season.

He's going to need a job and there are promising young goalkeepers who could benefit from his knowledge - but why don't we talk the club down instead . -

Think that's a glass half empty way of looking at it. We are accruing points at a higher rate and look to have a number of young players like Armstrong, Nyambe, Travis who are improving so I for one am more optimistic. -
Tim Flowers has left his job as manager with Solihull Moors by mutual consent. A possible addition for the coaching staff ? Goalkeeping coach ?

Your problem is that if it doesn't suit, you won't even be taking a screenshot after we've played 46 games. -

I'm looking at the facts not what if's. Your mind is made up on everything - the team, managers, individual players - with very little attention to what actually happens.
