  1. Looks like he could play the Cantwell role and cover for the strikers. Left footed so maybe can play the Hedges role too.
  2. Montgomery's driving run through the middle was impressive to feed it through to Gueye for the Kargbo goal, he made some solid challenges too.
  3. Sorry does this kick off at 6pm or 7pm? See Taveres is on Comms so he won't be playing...
  4. Only caught the game from just over half time but very promising and good intensity and desire on show. Kargbo, will be frustrating but has something special and is rapid. Someone should have got into his ball across the goal and his overhead kick volley from the corner was almost spectacular Gueye, I'm a fan and think there is something there to unlock. He was poor today though, lethargic and didn't provide an outlet. We also didn't make many attempts to put one into the box from out wide which seems a waste while he is on the pitch. The young centre backs looked very solid and strong all considered and the young GK looks promising, coming off his line at the right time and composed on the ball. Tyjon has good pitch awareness and is worth giving some time and exposure to in the number 10 role when the time is right. Impressive but that intensity will be hard to maintain. As someone else mentioned, great to see that all the players seemed to know their role and the way we want to play.
  5. No claret, phew. Decent enough if a bit heavy on the copy and pasting!
  6. Ah man didn't spot the claret thought it was black. Jeez...
  7. ChatGPT just making stuff up, probably based on odds towards the back of last season. No option on the site for relegation betting as far as I can tell
  8. Makes sense that he goes soon after Waggot
  9. Have to say in the midst of the gloom Baradji looks like an exciting addition. I could see him pairing up much more with Sondre than Travis but let's see what happens on that front, maybe we lose both, I really hope not. I'm also convinced Gueye has something about him, whether it can be unlocked consistently under Ismael is to be seen but I'm happy with him and Ohashi as our main options upfront.
  10. Well the press release on the rovers site even says "while the red rose of Lancashire, a symbol of identity and pride, stands proudly as a shared emblem between club and borough." 🙄
  11. No change to the badge, halves in tones of green. Decent Plymouth shirt.
  12. Proper astute business approach as usual then. Macron have been fantastic as manufacturers imo.
  13. Not sure if this is the right place for it as something a bit more light-hearted but any news on when the new kits will be out and what they will look like? I had a bit of a play around on chat gpt with some ideas - ignore the dodgy rovers crests!
  14. Total shambles. We're getting nowt today with this set up.
  15. Not getting the negativity here tbh. We all know it's a load of bollocks behind the scenes but I'm fairly happy with who we have brought in and think it gives us a chance in the run in to the end of the season. I'm not sensing a lack of ambition from Ismael, in fact he seems like someone that will be demanding in a similar sense to JDT. His style of play will also not require any significant alterations to what we are doing right now. Now if we don't make the top 6 and then get promoted there are obviously concerns about what happens next, but that would have been the case whoever was in charge. I'm personally happier with this appointment than I was with Eustace when he was brought in.
  16. If it is Ismael let's hope Gueye can stay fit, he'll be key to his general approach working this season. Of the candidates his approach is less likely to change what we have in a considerable way, if anything it will be further simplified and there will be even less playing out from the back. The worry is we become too easy to read and rely on hopeful long balls. I do think we have the players to potentially make it work though. I personally prefer him to Wagner, Karanka and some of the others that have been listed and as I said, I think he would cause the least upheaval in terms of how we set up and play between now and the end of the season.
  17. No it's the chap with the specs and a rovers badge on his coat, classic tall, dark and handsome type.
  18. I'm not blown away by O'Neill but he seems the obvious choice. If we did what most of us expected and spent most of the season in or around the relegation places we would have no chance of bringing him in so hopefully we take the opportunity to give ourselves the best chance this season and next. Sticking with Lowe is something that I wouldn't want, if we didn't achieve promotion then imagine how bleak the candidates would be, so we need to strike now.
  19. Great player technically but he never did the tough stuff and you can't get away with that in this team. Shame as I had high hopes when he came in but he never earned a place in this team.
  20. Glad Boro are looking to take Pears but how much will that cost us? Presuming they'll need to be compensated...
  21. Big chances for Toth and JRC, let's see if they can step up and take them. Hopefully Buckley can follow-on from his performance at the weekend as he was one of the few who had a good game.
