  1. A big difference during our stronger spells this season has been having depth on the bench. When you compare the start of this season to the end of the 23/24 season when our bench was basically Markanday + academy players, it was night and day. Sanderson is the sort of player I'd like to see signed as he's a good option to have from the bench/as cover.
  2. Gutting. We just lacked that little bit of quality to make the difference. Already one eye on what I anticipate will be another sh*tshow summer. Dread to think who we've seen play for us for the last time today.
  3. Our "significant investment" actively hampering our attacks at this point.
  4. We could do with a tactical Toth injury here to regroup.
  5. I'd accepted it wasn't mean to be...I don't know if my nerves can handle this. 😂
  6. His form has dropped off since Eustace left, but I reckon a bit of Gueye-os might be beneficial in such a tight, edgy match.
  7. Set pieces these days are an exercise in "oh well, at least we have possession" rather than an actual goal-scoring opportunity.
  8. As an aside, I'll be interested to see where Kaminski ends up next season.
  9. We almost look too pumped up at times, but glad to see we're really up for this and competing for absolutely everything.
  10. We've buckled after umm-ing and ahh-ing and decided to renew. Despite being on my network, it won't let me renew my dad's season ticket. Does anybody have any advice? Queue to ring the ticket helpline is 10 people long.
  11. Reading this in the Ewood Club pre-match. Brilliant stuff, in stitches and I've only made it halfway through Waiting for Aynsley.
  12. Not really the right thread but doesn't seem worth starting one just to ask: Has there been any info about Player/Goal of the Season vote? Less than a week until our final home game when they're traditionally presented.
  13. One of the bleakest nights I've experienced at Ewood. Came onto the ground with absolutely 0 expectations. That team is not playing for Ismael and I don't blame them with the absolute non-tactics he's got them playing. Massive, massive credit to our fans tonight, for turning out when there were so many reasons not to and for being so vocal. The most vocal I've heard the Riverside for a very, very long time.
  14. Hyam having his clause triggered being celebrated on social media felt like another embarrassing low.
  15. "PASHA OUT" banner just unfurled in the Ewood Club because the club is refusing to let fans in with it.
  16. This was exactly my thought when I received the email. Flog 'em early before the inevitable sh*tshow that will put plenty off. I'm in two minds about renewing. Unbelievably disillusioned with the club and fully aware that this summer will be more scraping the barrel for short-term deals, but Rovers are a massive part of my life and one which I share with my family. Being driven out by people who don't deserve to be associated with the club is a really disheartening prospect. At the same time, I don't want to financially support the ownership and senior management. Tough one.
  17. I just don't see how we don't get relegated next season with our budget, manager and contract situation. Cardiff were a poor, poor side and we looked plodding and out of ideas against them. Heads well and truly down when they got the winner - completely unmarked, might I add.
  18. Absolutely beyond baffling and frustrating that we wouldn't give Eustace an extension, but have given this fella a 3 year deal. The only future I see for the club is a two-horse race between which comes first - relegation or administration.
  19. It's flipping grim supporting this club atm. Going into every match expecting a loss, run by charlatans with no end in sight.
  20. FFS. They're going to have their heads up now and JE is the master of defending a 1-0 lead.
  21. Quite surprised to see the official club interviewer actually asking questions we're interested in the answer to and not just focusing on the highs of coming away with the win last night. Thoughtful lad is Dom. I can see him making a good coach/manager one day.
  22. We need somebody to get a proper chant put together for Travis. Longest-serving player, captain and been in the best form of his career. He's more than earned it by now!
  23. Felt so low about Rovers for the past 5 days and then I see the players pull together to dig out a win against a play-off rival and I remember why it's all (just about) worth it. Fantastic performance as a team, particular shoutouts to Gueye, Hyam and Trav.
