  1. Given Tronstad's performance he could have easily started all of our games this season. Better than Travis on the ball and breaks up play, yet we have chosen to leave Wharton completely isolated game after game. I'm now completely of the opinion that Travis doesn't need to be on the pitch in his forward role. It seems like a wasted position to me that won't get you a goal but leaves you vulnerable at the back. I think it's cost us a 6 points at home this season, that along with the Pears selection is on the manager. Pears doesn't have the physical presence to be a Championship goalkeeper and is beaten too easily. It's been a terrible start to the season, selection wise and tactically. We've lost games unnecessarily. I also find it hard to believe that a manager who is willing to hand Jack Vale a number of starts up front, when he clearly wasn't up to it, isn't prepared to give Telalovic a start or two up front... doesn't make sense to me. He looks to have the attributes to be effective at this level but won't get there without minutes. JDT seems to be refusing to play the hand he's been dealt properly and that can't be instilling confidence in the team. Again, Hill looks a player and could have easily started against Leicester to give us a stronger backline. So far this season I've been disappointed with the use of Travis, the selection of Dolan and Pears, a lack of faith shown in the new striker and the performance of the manager. There was even a game where Tronstad was playing for the u23s and at the same time the first team were losing a league match through the middle of the park. What was that about??? It all feels a bit self inflicted.
  2. Tonight showed he's been getting his tactics and selections wrong in recent weeks.
  3. I can see him getting fired.
  4. Is it possible we have the roles of Travis and Adam Wharton completely the wrong way round? Wharton would score, create chances and not tire as much in an advance position IMO. Travis has the legs to keep up if we are ever caught out at the back and he is the player who CAN cover for 2. For me Wharton is a bit of a luxury CM. I would ideally play him in front of a midfield 2, in Travis and Tronstad. Certainly against a good team who can counter. but JDT clearly wants our player who is most comfortable on the ball closer to our defenders since we play out from the back.
  5. I think he is all that, the best manager we've had since Allardyce – the issue is it's the same owners.
  6. One positive thing to come out of this summer is that all of the fans are now united in their opinion that the club will NEVER go anywhere while owned by Venky's. Surely. Everyone is clear we will forever be held back by the current owners while they are here. The same goes for any football club with detached and uninterested owners. They are parasites to the beautiful game. A sensible, ambitious and CONNECTED owner is the key to success and sustainability.
  7. 2,000 - 3,000 absolutely. We had 1,000 more in the ground vs Hartlepool... League Two opposition last season.
  8. 2,000 - 3,000 fans missing tonight. The message from the CEO is clear: "Don't come, we don't need you"
  9. 5,371 apparently the attendance with the Blackburn End closed against Championship opposition. 6,844 vs League Two Hartlepool in the first round last season!! Probably £40,000 - 50,000 in revenue missed tonight due to the closure. You can buy a player for £100,000 at this level, the club has lost the plot. We'll go under with Waggott in charge.
  10. I'm not sure my 5 year old is calling someone a c*nt... Hope not anyway. 🤣
  11. Not great around your kids tbf
  12. Worst attendance in years. "It was due to a technical issue as the ticketing site was down". Job done. 🤣
  13. Since we're talking about THAT corner, I've always been convinced Kaminski claims it. We had Pears in goal who can look like a lost little boy at corners. He didn't command his area enough considering how huge that moment was. My only criticism of JDT is he's cost us many points through his keeper selection.
  14. If you're asking how successful smaller clubs do it, they do things properly and maximise their supporter base... Sometimes all that takes is a present and interested owner.
  15. EMAILED and not going. Sadly idiots are in charge of the club.
  16. Not attending this one as my own personal protest to this absolute plodder of a CEO.
  17. Perfect game for another no show protest against the CEO and the owners... We've done it before and it was mentioned nationwide. Give the man what he wants, empty stands. The beauty of it this time is he's already emptying one for us. Football is nothing without the fans.
  18. GET PEARS OUT THIS F*CKING TEAM NOW, PERMANENTLY. How many points has he cost us this season already? Arguably 9 points in the past 4 league games. Terrible decision to let Kaminski go if this is the only alternative. JDT... SORT IT OUT!
  19. and shock... Wharton playing like he doesn't have any competition... he did but we loaned it out to desperately save a couple of quid. Right now the budget is costing us a huge number of points already, from a lack of strikers, a lack of experience, to a lack of depth from the bench.
  20. Pears has to save the 2nd. Poor goalkeeping again and a very important goal.
  21. and of course agree on the closure of the Blackburn End being a disgrace. Lovely 'F U' from the club to the fans!
  22. Got to agree on the bin liners for the terribly done ROVERS in the Darwen End too. Tacky and crap. Like most on first viewing I naturally presumed they'd installed some white seating to do a smart job of it but of course not.... absolutely laughable it's still there!
  23. Whoever's behind the idea needs sacking, it really is as simple as that IMO. Before someone says that's an overreaction, I don't mean for the action alone but whoever is behind the idea is so out of touch they are forming a rotten part of the football club and it will continue.
  24. It's poor for the players too and generally unnecessarily embarrassing for the fans but that is Waggott... Unnecessary and embarrassing.
