  2. We're not going up, that's pretty obvious. We are regressing at a rate; better teams than us are still improving. If we make the play offs, I'll be very surprised. Mowbray won't change; this is as good as it gets with him I'm afraid, being stuck in yet another rut without a clue how to get out of it, or just unwilling to admit he's getting it wrong. That's not to say the season has been a disaster. I for one thought we'd be in the mire, which to his credit, we aren't. 5 years is a long time for one man It will need a change come summer to freshen things up, to try something new and to reinvigorate the place.
  3. Bruce Springsteen - Sinaloa Cowboys
  4. Without wanting to open up the whole Millwall postponement debate(!) again, I reckon Waggott knows the specifics as to why the referee called the game off, but he isn't saying. The ref would have said something like 'I'm calling the game off on the grounds of player safety, because of x,y and z' Call me cynical, but I think the reason why we don't know exactly what 'x,y and z' are, is because Waggott doesn't want us to know. Why? Because fingers will then point at him.

  6. FFS Please read the thread properly. I know that the club offered an explanation of sorts. I've said that in a previous message & don't expect or want anything further. I originally replied to another poster who wants an explanation from the referee himself. I don't think that it is necessary for the referee to do this. End of.
  7. I agree. To be clear, I'm not lambasting anyone & have no opinion as to who was at fault. As I said, I don't really care whose fault it was. The point I was trying to make was simply that, as a customer of the club if there was any explanation to be had I'd expect that to come from the club, which as you say has been given to a degree. It's all a moot point anyway. The club won't criticse the ref, likewise the ref won't openly lay blame on the club. As supporters, we're just expected to lump it.
  8. I don't really care whose fault it was. My 'contract' was with the club. I am their customer, not the ref's. The product I paid for didn't materialise, therefore the club should explain to me - as their customer - why that was so. All IMO, of course.
  9. I personally don't think the ref owes us squat. He was just doing his job. We are customers of the club; it is they who owe us an explanation beyond just 'we wanted to play the game'.
  10. This seems like a '5 games for the price of 4' deal. Any subsequent special one-off would seriously negate the value of this offer, though. I'd be hacked off if I bought this only for say the Bournemouth game to be then discounted to £15 or so.
  11. Perhaps. Or perhaps it points at having some business and administrative accumen... On the back of a promotion and in the midst of a good season with an outside chance of the pay offs, Bolton are looking to capitalise for next season. The more ST they get signed up now, the more they could get as other fans follow suit, the more money they make. Under the risk of relegation, Burnley are looking to shore up their core support for next season should they go do down. If it looks like they're going to escape the drop, excitement will again build for another season in the PL. On the contrary, our administration will likely leave it to the last minute, execute a half arsed marketing scheme, put themselves in a position where they have to process applications in a handful of weeks, and wonder why the uptake is low.
  12. Burnley's cash flow must be in the same way, then...

  14. It's heading west to east. Virtually stopped now in Wheelton, so I'd expect the same at Ewood anytime soon.
  15. Tenpole Tudor - Swords Of A Thousand Men
  16. My guess is that some match ticket fans will have already decided to watch the QPR game on Sky. Therefore, to them, the bundle becomes in effect just the Millwall game, which they'll buy a cheaper match ticket for instead.
  17. The Barca/Napoli game was a decent watch. With regard to Barca, how the mighty have fallen! They really struggled until Busquets came on as a sub when they took control. If Ferran Torres wasn't so inept, they would have won comfortably though. The return leg will be interesting.
  18. The Kinks - Johnny Thunder
  19. The Police - Every Breath You Take
  20. Rich Sharpe has posted that the club have sold 500 Double Deckers thus far, with the hope of reaching 1,000 by kick off.
  21. Out for the weekend. Ankle injury.
  22. Predominantly light rain showers from today through Saturday morning, according to BBC weather Surely it can cope with that.
