  1. Interestingly, only 2 out of the 11 scheduled National League North fixtures were cancelled today, presumably due to Covid. I imagine that these guys have to provide Covid tests as do those in the PL and Championship, which - with my cynical hat on - highlights the gamesmanship being played by the likes of Hull City.
  2. Eric Clapton - Wonderful Tonight (in anticipation of post match reviews of the Rovers tomorrow 🙂)
  3. We're due to concede at some point, but we should have enough to win this. 2-1 Rovers.
  4. Welcome @4000 HOLES There may well be a number of ex-match going supporters who don't go anymore because they miss the old terraces. Fair enough, I was brought up on the BBE and I have the memories. I suspect, though, that there are far more fans who do go since the advent of modern stadia. I'm pretty sure that my teenage daughter would not enjoy the 'old' Ewood any where near as much as she does the 'new' Ewood. Compared to say Blackpool, the facilities at Ewood are fantastic (not withstanding Waggott penny pinching on remedial work). I sit in the JW Upper opposite the BBE penalty spot. I get the best of both worlds; an amazing view of the game plus the atmosphere from the lads in N01. As others have said, N01 seems to be the place for you.
  5. Springsteen - Girls In Their Summer Clothes
  6. 2 hours before KO is a disgrace.
  7. Barring disaster, this season should see our highest place under Mowbray's tenure. Whatever that place is and after 5 seasons in charge, is how I'll judge him.
  8. You're well advised not to. It's a bear pit in there 🙂
  9. On the face of it, yes. Our position is pretty fragile though, in respect of injuries and suspensions. It would only take 2 or 3 key players to miss a series of games for our fortunes to reverse.
  10. I wasn't referring to you mate. The post in question seems to have been removed. Anyway, Hull vs Rovers. I'd be happy with a point tbh.
  11. It is possible for people to keep their views on Covid to themselves, rather than trying to dominate every conversation on here? There a discussion on the other side of the forum for Covid. It's getting rather tedious.
  12. I don't believe that the owners wouldn't sanction any reasonable request if it might tying the 3 down. I think it's more a case of the CEO & manager subtlely diverting the blame.
  13. Apologies - 'Hey Jude' wasn't on my feed when I posted.
  14. The obvious lack of cover is with Nyambe. Finding a suitable back up for his position should be top of the list IMO. He's struggled for form the last couple of times I've seen him, but yesterday he was excellent.
  15. One thing that has improved massively is the vocal support. It's markedly different now than what it was at the start of the season. A bland experience has turned into an exciting one. All down to what's happening on the pitch, of course.
  16. A shout out to the club today for how the Covid checks were handled. I got to the ground for 2:30 or and it was a doddle getting through the 'checkpoint'. I suppose it helps that the ground is only half full, but I never felt uncomfortable at any time. I thought the Attendance was decent all thing considered. I was expecting it to be a lot lower.
  17. Totally understandable, but a shame you didn't get there. You missed a treat. This team deserves full houses.....bloody Covid!
  18. Just because they're supposedly 'Johnson quotes' doesn't negate their intent.
  19. Close game, but I think we'll win this one. Hull is where we might come unstuck a little, but hopefully these next 2 games will set us up nicely for what should be - covid permitting - a bumper game against Barnsley. 2-1 Rovers
  20. I can but it online and get it delivered; therefore it's not necessary to leave the house to do it. The point is, what is 'necessary' is a subjective thing. What might not be necessary to you, may well be necessary to others. Like anything in life, it's all about personal choice of what people do and the risks they take.
