Exactly. My post was in response to the several posts before it questioning why we keep signing 6ft and athletic players. There's no doubt we are selling off players in the last year of their contract and signing players to replace for less money but those players could be any size and type. There is a common theme which suggests there may be some thought behind it. Doesn't mean it's right, doesn't mean they are better and it doesn't mean I like what's happening. No dressing up required

so you pay less for 6ft plus players you believe???

I think on the topic of tall athletic players, it has something to do with the energy and press but also to win the ball more across the pitch and defend set pieces. Maybe even be a threat ourselves. I like Baradji as a signing. Injury is a concern but the deal makes sense. I wouldnt turn on Travis, he's been a great servant and someone I've enjoyed watching and its hard to see him go but sometimes you need to try something different to realise the path to move forward. Baradji and Tavares both seem more mobile and athletic to not only put the tackles in and keep things tight but to also get us up the pitch. Travis and Tronstad have often been a wall and a great pairing but it does then limit us going forwards. Did find it funny that Val gave a BBC interview about not wanting loans and an hour later we announce a loan signing...

Palulu looks a good player, similar style to the Beradji lad we were close to signing, though a different position. Like others have said, seems a level above us at least though he does only have a year left on so contract. Interesting read on his international career where he was called up by Angola but withdrew for health reasons, then switched alliance to DR Congo, got a call up and withdrew due to injury. Apparently cleared his insta account of all things Jagiellona suggesting a move is imminent or he's upset with them

Personally only see us signing a CB and either an Attacking Mid or a RW. Based on what we have, assuming no one else leaves apart from Dolan and the talk around youth development. Not saying it's what I'd do, not saying it supports the "exciting summer" we were promised but looking at what we have and based on 2 options for each position ish, it's what I think will develop from here

Thanks KentExile. Tyrone and Higgins have been all the talk and I remember how well Phillips was spoken of coming through as was Wharton. I knew of Eze but just hadn't picked up on any particular hype

Teenage sensation? I don't get to watch the youth sides often but keep eye through here and the website. I don't recall Eze getting much hype to be called a teenage sensation or to the tune that Milan or Juventus would come knocking. Have I missed it?
