I was baffled that adults still watched this , however I listened to a podcast recently ( blindboy ) he was taking about the ‘kayfabe’ in wrestling . The way that the fans accept what is presented to them as a truth and how it’s mirrored in Modern politics particularly since 9/11 ( when irony disappeared) and how Donald trump is a master of kayfabe .
