I do think this could work well with a back 5 and with our squad, could be quite dominant, just when do back 5s ever work? We've 3 options LWB only 1 RWB? Unless Miller can play there.

Tavares is a big weak link in this team. I'm not seeing what he will offer. Is he better off the ball than I'm seeing? As I'd put a youth player in ahead of what I've seen so far.. Would drop cantwell to cm personally to pull the strings (and cant be worse than tavares in a tackle) and get gudjohnson shoehorned in, he looks a player so far. Excited to see a full debut.

Dawson would be an upgrade for a season. He probably knows he'd get gametime here and not so much at Brum, which is important in your swan song..

Can't judge the season on a few games, but the 'bad luck' and such will need to change. Iv only seen highlights but Kargbo had a guilt edge chance to maybe steal a point. 100% a sending off.. wasn't fast enough and stupidly pulls back, cost us the game.

I think getting 1m each for Buckley, JRC and Leonard is good business, none of them looked like being very useful or pushing on (except JRC when not injured) hope they all go on to do well though. Massive gamble of a window but I'm weirdly excited to see how these guys do. I think the new Japanese winger and Gudjohnson if it goes through could be good signings. Hope we utilise loan spots well, maybe some experience in the league ie Baker last year.

Seen a few replays and looks a horrendous dive, should be a yellow to their player. How many dodge pen decisions can we get ! Apparently Birmingham feel refs have been against them all season too..

They physically overpowered us in my opinion, with the refs help got away with it. The sending off being earlier in game would of been apt. Always frustrating to watch. Foul on our player for their goal and for put pen appeal. We didn't look like scoring, certainly concerning for the season ahead.

I'd be very happy with Miyoshi, can't see us doing much better. Good Dolan replacement and we need someone with champ experience. Maybe Brittain sale has released the funds for axel/him/Miller. On Axel signing if CM I've always said tronstad and Travis are a negative pairing. Good to have more creative options to rotate in. Maybe this has been recognised rather than planning to offload one. Which will happen next season anyway.

Buckley on way out? Garrett too assuming. jrc needed as right back cover.. Someone who can carry ball/be more creative in cm is very needed in certain games for us, trav and tronstad can be a bit of a negative pairing. Whether this guy can do it well enough is to be seen.

Hmm started just over 60% of games in a relegation season in Belgium. Could go 5 at the back with pickering and Carter as overlapping Centre backs (joke) Need a creative CM/goalscoring winger if 5 at the back, any current formation looks toothless. A joke if we sell Travis to accommodate this formation I'm sure we'll see a few pish signings like this

With Venkys at the helm Waggott had a pretty thankless job, be interesting to see what the next person can do.. or whether their hands are tied from the beggining. It won't be Gestede.. not possible.

Good hardworking squad player, ok defensively. wouldn't have him anywhere near starting line up though. I think it's good to keep him one extra year, if kargbo doesn't work out we've no wingers..

Sheffield utd have a choice to field a weaker team in hope we win, so they've an easier team in playoffs.. or they may decide they want to go all out to avoid us (doubtful). If I was them I'd be going with a weaker team / resting players. All to play for but doubt Burnley will help us out. Theoretically we've a good chance, particularly if Bristol city lose (I hope so as I'm a Bristol rovers fan!)

I'm late to the party here, but going 3 at the back was madness right? changing formation this late in the season when it wasn't particularly broken before. Does feel like the seasons gone now and momentum lost. Still I believe in giving Ismael a go next season, just feels the best chance we've had in a long while as squad will be much weakened.

Willing to give him a try, ultimately not finished beneath the top ten in champ, which is something to be said considering the mad fickleness of the league. Said all the right things.. not trying to change tactics etc for last 12 games. Lets see Be interesting if he brings woodrow and dennos straight in. Can imagine him falling out with cantwell.. heard it here first.

Plymouth will know forshaws weaknesses, at least bench is strong, assuming Buckley is tired.. Chance for cantwell and ACD to prove themselves before being potentially dropped for a while

Dennis not had much football but fresh for Sat at least, we'll be v short if batth and beck are out for a bit.. Buckley has been useful, i'd say on paper him and trav are a better partnership than trav/tronstad, as Buckley gives the creative outlet. But tronstad far more likely to be in form is seemingly the issue.

Some of his best hold up play is with his feet, his confidence has grown, the difference when he takes on shots is huge - i was worried at first he had no power but last few games has put in some decent shots. Also i thought it was a pen just before the goal! Now to see if he can be consistant. But certainly a handy player!

Its crazy how winnable on paper our 7 games are after this.. last 4 or 5 not so much. Shame the next two months will likely be chaos and a carry on of our bad form. In theory the interim guys can carry on how we were playing but with better players up top. Losing a manager in this fashion does make you feel hopeless doesnt it.

Cantwell losing ball in dangerous positions, one led to their goal. Not sure what he brings and has regressed Actually think Buckleys looking better after a run of games, when he finds space can be a decent deep lying playmaker.. needs a travis beside him rather than forshaw who doesnt have the legs. Does lose too many 50/50s Overall we've been decent considering half team hasnt played together, kargbo doesnt fit our system in my opinion, doesn't look to like a pass or a cross! Certainly can beat a man.. What a difference if we'd had dennis all season
