Rovers vs Ajax (huh?) @ Marbella
RoversTilliDie replied to a topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Fantastic result for Rovers, beating Ajax 2-0 in the warm up friendly and Dolan nearly scoring a hat trick. For me he has to start against Preston next Saturday. Well done JDT choosing top opposition and giving Markanday and others a chance. -

Brazil, Spain, Germany and Portugal have all fallen to the underdog, lets hope England don't take Senegal to lightly, who will be classed as the underdog. Doesn't seem like the World Cup to me in Winter, maybe it's being outshone with Christmas. -

JDTs getting it right on the friendlies front, test yourself to the max with top opposition. -

I have just got the sangrai in seeing Rovers are in Spain next week. Don't forget the Germans once lost to minnows in the past and went on to lift the World Cup. -

People are complaining about the 0-0 draw with the USA, there msl league has been going for years, I would'nt class them as underdogs. Unless Wales beat England 5 or 6-0, we will be in the knockout stages. And dont forget there playing in 94 plus farenheit. -

My comment wasn't sour grapes or aggro, it just seems you've played a lot of home games lately. I think its great both East Lancs teams are in the top 3 in the Championship, lets hope were still there in May. -

I don't think you will find it as easy in the return game at Ewood next March. By the way, how many home fixtures have you played in the last couple of months 5 out of 6. You've played 1 away out of 6 and lost 5-2. We will return the compliment in March give you 2,000 tickets, the rest for Rovers supporters. -

Thats my philosophy, attacking football gives you a chance, defend for 90 minutes and your heading for the bottom half of the table. By the way thats what Sheffield United did for 90 minutes attack and they destroyed the dingles who looked out for the count when the 5th went in. -

Diaz hasn't looked the player we all know the last month, he,s looking tired and the World Cup break might give him the rest he needs. -

Also the workers who died in accidents and some have'nt been paid yet for building the stadiums. On a football theme I have'nt seen many nations play apart from the home nations. You can usually pick the favourites for the World cup after the group stages. Hope England don't take Wales and the USA to lightly and make it to the knockout stages. -

Let's not forget were not Brazil yet, mostly a young squad who can only learn from mistakes, we have the basis of a team challenging for things in a Season or two. Providing the team stay together. -

Something JDT needs to put right on the training ground, trying to pass your way out of your own penalty box like your Brazil in the World cup. On most occasions its back in the opponents possession and sometimes in the back of the net. A big hefty boot upfield takes the pressure off the defence. I would also like to see Kaminski (who is a fantastic keeper) kick the ball in the opponents half more, rather than rolling it out and pissing about at the back. -

We deseved what we got, another below par away performance.Burnley were bound to be up for this one after being thrashed 5-2 with Sheffield United. Lets hope we return the compliment at Ewood next year in March, give the dingles 2,000 tickets and the rest for Rovers supporters. -

Whatever happens Tomorrow at Turf moor, we will be 5pts clear of 7th place. We don't want to lose this one, I am going for a 2-2 draw. -

We don't want to lose this one going into the World cup break, I fancy our first draw of the season 2-2. -

I thought it was a solid display from Rovers after BBD put us ahead. If the worse was to happen against Burnley, we would still have a 4 pt cushion inside the top 6 going into the World cup break.
