  1. Does anyone know the best way to buy tickets to Newcastle - Brentford? (I'm vising UK that weekend, attending the Rovers - Boro match first, then taking the train up north to Newcastle)
  2. Try a different browser? I am currently streaming from Chrome with no issues... yet
  3. I'm very content with our midfield options. Travis, Wharton, Sammie, Buckley, Trondstad (who I'm sure will grow into the pace) and Garret means strength in depth! I thought JDT's substitutions were perfect today. I am also happy that we kept pushing till the very end (9 additional minutes, mind!). Speaking of which, the added-added time means more total minutes on the squad throughout the season. It is evident that having the right numbers of players available is important!
  4. How was Tronstad's performance? Think he will be a good upgrade in midfield
  5. The bids for Brereton were way below 10 million. Would you have entertained those bids? I'd say keep him, he'll give us plenty of goals and maybe just maybe we will challenge top 6. In the meanwhile Rovers should track replacements
  6. Sander Berge at Utd is a PL-quality player who will pose a big threat to us. He did extremely well against us last time. Fear he will do the same today.

  8. Birmancevic at Malmö a possibility? Not a direct replacement though. Malmö did not manage to get further into CL qualification.
  9. Likewise, Blackburn will probably hold firm on their valuation. West Ham bought Maxwell Cornet and Scamacca - leaves them out as an interested party. Sevilla tried their 10 million bid - but have not bought any other strikes this window. They had Martial on loan from January, whom did well, and would probably want a new striker. Everton though looks a bit thin on strikers.
  10. Morton showed he is technically sound with the ball in small spaces and can pick good passes. Composed! Think he will be a good addition! Sammie Smodicz scored the way he stated in his first Rovers' interview that he often does - arrive late to the box and then score. He was also pressing well.
  11. All those teams would have interviewed him beforehand. CV does count in that regard.
  12. On the flip side, JDT wants the strike force-four to roam freely which means less emphasis on where they indepentently start on paper.
  13. I don't think the transfers thus far suggest we are trying to win with only kids. Using our great academy is only wise though!
  14. Yes clearly, it is not entirely fair to compare the two managerial situations. Arteta has spent enormous sums. Though giving some managers time (atleast a 1-3 seasons) has proven wise on many occations (and sometimes obviously not). I remember watching the four year plan' docu where QPR eventually went up to the premiership. A shambles at first, though they managed to succeed with Warnock at the helm. Different time obviously.
  15. A modern, hungry and enthusiastic coach is what Rovers needs. We have got a young squad and a new system. We might not see the best of results and table position this season - though hopefully we will improve on last season's 8th - but having some patience I believe we can do wonders next. The talents at the club will only become better and the transfers over time will suit JDT's style. I might be inspired by watching Arsenal's docuseries All or nothing on Amazon prime where Mikel Arteta is given the time needed. Interestingly Arsenal had the youngest squad last season - much like ours.
