  1. He did manage 7 goals and 4 assists this season. A season he started and ended injured. He arrived in june last year and got injured shortly after, missing out on preseason. His movement inside the box and his ability to finish is second only to Szmodics. I remember Gamst Pedersen arriving at the club, struggling at first until he put on a few kilos of muscles and toughed up. Siggy has to follow suit and add some physicality to his game and get up to speed. He is clearly one of the most talented in the squad.
  2. I think Sigurdsson has 10-15 goals in him with a proper pre-season. Shocking stats on Gallagher.
  3. Just to quote the internet on what the DOF-job entails: "Being a Director of Football involves overseeing the football operations of a club, typically focusing on player recruitment, transfers, contract negotiations, and sometimes managerial appointments. They often work closely with the coaching staff and scouts to identify talent, negotiate contracts, and strategize for the club's long-term success. Additionally, they may be involved in budgeting, youth development, and implementing the club's football philosophy. Essentially, they serve as a bridge between the board, coaching staff, and players, ensuring the club's footballing objectives are met." I would never appoint Rudy Gestede in that position today. Perhaps in 10-15 years if he starts working hard to become one.
  4. I would rather not have a DOF-setup if the choice was a random ex-player with no experience.
  5. And if the cost of Rovers TV is the same..? Surely the price has to drop?
  6. Could you please post a screenshot of the about-section/cv here? I don't have a linkedin account
  7. The good thing is that it is much easier to sign foreign players. Hopefully Rovers have done some scouting abroad.
  8. Elliot did write a piece this morning behind a paywall. Wonder what he wrote!
  9. What often disappoints me is that LET usually is not making headlines and articles out of important opionions such as Tim Farron's tweet. LET could easily interview Farron and ask him to expand on his tweet and ask for a comment from Rovers owners or Waggot. This is typically done in Norway, and elsewhere in England I'm sure, where it is expected that the local press regularly asks the club critical questions. I just hope LET steps up going forward. They need to be more brave in their reporting, especially considering the circus that is surrounding the owners.

  11. Looking at the tight fixture-list I am worried about the depth of this squad. Trondstad is putting in shift after shift. Do we have a player that can step in if he gets injured?
  12. The recruitment has overall been poor. But Trondstad is clearly one of the best performers this season. Did not cost us anything.
  13. We seem to keep JDT's press and somewhat three touch offensive passing yet a bit more direct playing
  14. I'm glad Hedges starts against Birmingham ! I expect him to play 60 minutes. Big Club obviously got pyro
  15. I am keen to see whether the more direct pragmatic style fits some of the less performing players better than the demanding style of JDT. Moran, Garrett, Siggy and the some of defenders in particular.
  16. Trondstad is PL-level. McFadz a shrewd signing. Played really well. Hoping he stays fit! Wonder when Fleck is ready.
  17. Failed to omit is something else than forgot to omit. It was widely discussed back then that Phillips and his agent did not want to sign a contract without such a clause. The amount of time it took him to sign a deal with us tells me that it was likely a case of failing to omit. The wording in contracts is always done (at a pro-level) with the aid of lawyers.
  18. can someone post the minutes from this meeting that Glenn has posted on X? Glenn's twitter account is difficult to browse.
  19. What's this? CCTV of a recent emergency-meeting?
  20. Because it involved a loan fee..?
  21. it is astonishing that there is such miscommunication between Raos in India and the directors at Ewood park. GB and the rest were sure that they were able to spend a few millions on a permanent transfer after the record sale of Wharton. Venkys eventually called in and said no. Highly unprofessional by Venkys. The Wharton sale seems pushed by Venkys
  22. Understanding the timeline of the recent Duncan- transfer it all points to Pune and Venkys, though. His DOF-role has effectively been reduced to getting freebies and loans.
