  1. We've been better the last two matches. We had enough chances again today but couldn't finish them. What we need is someone to put the ball in the net. Our strikers are firing blanks.
  2. Well, hopefully Sharpe was right that we are prioritising a striker. We should have won that comfortably today. BBD has turned into BB again, same as he did this time last season. 1 or 2 goal scorers needed and we have a chance of the PO's. So, exactly the same position as last Jan!
  3. Get the fuck in! 3 points, job done, still in fucking 3rd and 3rd for fucking ever bitches!!!!!!!!! Up the Rovers Happy New bastard Year!!
  4. It's how we've defended the majority of the13 leads this season that have resulted in wins.
  5. You're right there is, it can mean bad-tempered and easily irritated, as well as childishly sulky. So, the names quoted by and @bluebruce reflect the definition of petulant.
  6. Your posts reflect that. It's a joy to read. 🥱
  7. Yeah they need to learn to spit at people in the crowd🤔
  8. Haha, what's gone on 'ere then?
  9. The facts are Buckley dominated him in the first half.
  10. Totally agree, his attitude showed how out of touch he was despite his 'I'm a working class lad me like' routine. I think he said it didn't matter of we finished 2nd, as long as we went up. Losers attitude! JDT's comments recently about not having a sniff of promotion have echoed that attitude somewhat. It's all about dumbing down expectation, rightly or wrongly, to either protect the players or protect themselves.
  11. I think that's more tactical rather than personnel in midfield. We have creative CM's and AM's. We just don't play in a way that utilises their strengths or the strengths we have in attack. Playing it around at the back waiting for teams to come on to us so we can hit them on the break -that's been our sole attacking tactic this season. We get very few crosses in because we have very little width to our play. I think we need an old, experienced head in CM to help the young guys but it won't make a jot of difference to how attacking we are if the tactics remain the same. JDT's comments in the press recently suggest he may be softening his approach and that maybe he's going to go more direct at times. I wouldn't want to be an attacker in that team.
  12. I'd hope he has. He's made some telling comments over the last few days about playing 'direct' football. Can't remember the exact quote but it was something like 'we played good football, sometimes short, sometimes more direct'. I think/hope the penny has dropped with the uber-short possession shite he was serving up.
  13. Exactly my understanding. My dad and a few mates were exactly the same. Like you say, very strange!
  14. Exactly, after 5 years there were 'muted' convo's about him doing one. If you criticised him on Twitter if was like you'd insulted the Queen! It was only right at the end that people did the whole 'it was time for him to go' routine, and with a few I knew that was only because they knew he was going. He was like fucking Royalty. Like Matt said, I can only assume it was the L1 factor.
  15. I don't believe it, I'm going off social media and the huge difference in the general feel about JDT and TM. I was also responding to the poster before me saying the crowd was about to turn. That's why I asked what the difference between JDT and Mowbray was and why the different attitudes to each of them. I go to most home games and there are deffo more grumblings about the style than there were under Mowbray. To me there's not much difference. both produce dull football.
  16. That's what I thought, maybe I wasn't explaining myself. Mowbray was popular until he left (apart from on here), JDT seems to have become very unpopular very quickly in the eyes of a significant number of fans.
  17. I suppose we'll never know. Still doesn't explain how the bloke who has us in 3rd, 3rd, 3rd is so unpopular.
  18. Don't bring facts into it. That's not how it works with some round here!
  19. Oh right, I didn't attend a lot last season due to work so that will be why I missed it! Still, it took 4 years.
  20. Sharpe said a few weeks ago that GB/JDT were prioritising a striker this January.
  21. Yeah, when slagging off JDT for Mola-gate, people forget Mowbray signed Sam Hart and played him as a winger in L1. One of the worst performances I've ever seen in a Rovers shirt.
  22. Yeah, I posted my reply to Hasta above at the time as you. The L1 factor is the only thing I can think of too. He lived off that for half a decade!
  23. That's pretty much what I meant with the 'crowd turning'. We aren't exactly the burning pitchforks type of crowd! It's just interesting to me how little time JDT is being allowed in comparison to 5 years of terminal boredom under Mowbray. Maybe it's the promotion from League 1?
