GB is on record as saying Hirst was JDT's 1st choice striker. It's not a player that was imposed on JDT against his will.

Yates is 26 and this is his first season in the Championship. Carlton Morris was a League 1 dolloper until this season. He's 27 and this is the first good season he's ever had. Goes to show writing off any player is a fools game. Just as writing off Gally is. The time to judge Gally as a striker is when he plays as a striker for a full season in a team that plays to his strengths. I love Gally, he sacrifices himself for the team and is a far better footballer than a lot of the know-nowts give him credit for.

Yet we're third, mainly because the players are very good at what is known by football hipsters as the 'low block'. So they've adapted to that very well after we take the lead. Travis mentioned it in pre-season, basically that they've been working on it and they were confident it would serve them well. He was right. We're also quite good on the counter in fairness. It's the other side of the game we can't do, passing out from the back in a way that gets us up the pitch and creates chances. We're fucking appalling at that.
