  1. I'll be buzzin' if we beat the Hornets. We need to take the sting out of their attacks early doors and then bee ready to hit them on the counter. Having a flying winger in Thomas should help with that. 0-1 with a late Dack volley nest-ling in the corner of the net.
  2. I'd be surprised to see Travis dropped. Is he injured or suspended?
  3. Interesting point you make about it being about results rather than performances. Here's JDT's take on that very issue:- "If you look at the results, which I don’t do, but people do, media do, which is normal, then of course they could always be a little bit better. But I’m never looking at just the result, I’m looking at the performance and I see a team that’s becoming better on the ball. Going through the games we’ve played I think we can agree about that." Jon Dahl Tomasson hits back at criticism over Blackburn Rovers form - LancsLive
  4. The surprise will be that we're not even going to bother to counter, just defend.
  5. Watford last 6 home games. They aren't all that.
  6. Nobody is forgetting that. They are two separate incidents, with apparently two separate set of circumstances. My hope is that full details are released of both Appeal submissions/results, by both the club and the EFL. This has to be transparent.
  7. Rovers should sue if that is true. It's completely irrelevant. The obligation to buy is only triggered if they get promoted to the Prem. It's got nothing to do with relegation.
  8. So Rovers have missed a 'key part' of the contract submission? I wonder why they are saying it's irrelevant? Think it was referred to as a 'moot point' by Waggott?
  9. Do the EFL always request player contract details when a player signs somewhere? If clubs are legally bound to submit player contract clauses based on hypotheticals to the EFL then Rovers won't have a leg to stand on. But if this is something the EFL have asked for on a whim and it isn't legally binding then the EFL could possibly be sued by Rovers.
  10. That would be equally bizarre. The EFL would have to demand that Forest inserted the same clause for the 50 players they signed in the summer, or for any club that signs players in the summer after getting promoted to the Prem.
  11. So the EFL were wanting a clause in there stating what Rovers would do about LOB signing if we got relegated this season to League 1? That's why it was late? Seems utterly bizarre.
  12. 45% for each club, the FA get the other 10%
  13. Reason for the appeal:-
  14. And on the same theme, it appears quite a few club's fans sang 'You'll never walk alone' the in the 70's. If you ever watch the re-runs of 'big match re-visited' on ITV4 it's quite noticeable.
  15. I'm glad it was acknowledged though, thought it was quite good myself. I'll get my coat.
  16. It was the decision of Bill McGarry, who was Watford's manager in the 63/64. Z-Cars was his favourite show. Watford started running out to it a year after Everton started doing the same (1962) A future Rovers manager replaced McGarry as Watford manager in 64/65. Guess ????? Anyway, they've apparently run out to 'I'm Still Standing' by Elton since about 2019.
  17. There's a cockatoo that work at the club.
  18. The movement in the box has been poor since he got here. It doesn't say a lot for his coaching credentials if nothing has changed. More than that, it says a lot about how his teams are set up. To get movement in the box you need to get players in there. He should look at himself before he starts pointing fingers at the players.
  19. Blackburn Rovers star Adam Wharton sets target date for return | OneFootball Mid-feb...so not far off
  20. We're a s fluid as solid matter up top.
  21. Not entirely accurate. Quite a few good young players are now tied to long term contracts. Broughton massively fucked up the transfer window, but he's done well finalising contracts with players like Phillips who looked like they were happy to leave. JDT is also introducing these young lads into the first team.
  22. Jon Dahl Tomasson spotted at EFL ground with Blackburn Rovers boss on scouting mission - LancsLive Tomasson was in the stands for the Hatters' home match against Tranmere Rovers, with two players on the scouting list. Lancs Live understands Stockport's Will Collar and Tranmere's Josh Hawkes were the two players of interest.
  23. I've really wanted to believe that JDT would eventually come good. I've now decided that he's just not very good at his job. The standard of football he's producing is atrocious.
