Bradley Dack - Twist or Stick?
Sweaty Gussets replied to bigbrandjohn's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
JDT: We're close to seeing the very best of Brad | rovers.co.uk I think JDT has handled the situation superbly. I think Dack as good as admitted his attitude was wrong pre-WC break. He's now back to being our best player again, and now capable of playing 90 mins. -

Udinese have a bid rejected. So now Watford are having a go. FFS! If Rovers have had a bid accepted then hopefully Porteous sees the light and comes to the club that wants him the most. -

I'm not defending him because I can't stand him either, but didn't he say ST receipts were highest since we got relegated? That's his remit achieved. -

Good win for Mowbray's Mackem mob. -

There's a video of him on here somewhere of him talking about Revels for quite a while in a Sunderland pre-match presser. I used to think it was all a bit contrived but he as more enthusiastic about Revels than he ever was talking about Rovers. I think he's just a bit eccentric. -

Yeah, but he isn't on form, which was my point. No disputing he's a very good player at our level but he hasn't scored for about 10 matches and he's missing the few chances he's getting. -

On Markanday: “He felt not 100 per cent yesterday so we didn’t take any risks with him. “We trained yesterday in Birmingham, he came with us, but he felt something and wasn’t 100 per cent so we didn’t want to take any risks.” -

Coventry join Sunderland, Blackburn and Wigan in Leeds player pursuit | Football League World Leeds want a club that will pay a big chunk of his wages and give him lots of playing time. I thought he played in Markanday/Hedges position? -
Premier League 22-23
Sweaty Gussets replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
They'd be wasting time keeping him. His teams can't defend, they never have been able to. He's 'going defensive' because it's not working playing the way he wants to. If he goes back to that they'll still be shit. For all the money they've spent, that squad isn't great. So it's not entirely his fault. But Everton could do a lot better than Lampard. Look at Eddie Howe, he's built a defence around Dan Burn and they've only conceded 11 all saeson - best defence in the league. Watching Dan Burn in the Championship I would never have guessed he would be the rock on which the best defence in the Premier league would be built. Lampard is out of his depth. -

No idea, we'll leave that with Gregg. But the fact we have the 2nd least amount of shots on target per game in the league suggests that it isn't just a personnel issue, it's also a problem with the way JDT sets us up to play. -

I agree, it's just as shame you didn't quote me in context. Until then, I look forward to Vale's next intelligent dash into space! -

Probably have to go back to Sparky for an era when we consistently played good football. -

I haven't micro-analysed him, and I understand if your frustration is that players are written off too easily - I agree. His goal at WHU showed Vale has something. However, we're clutching at straws if we're biggin' up a 10 yards slow trundle sideways towards the touchline as evidence of his worth to the team! BBD is off form. He's becoming a waste of space like he was in the 2nd half of last season. JDT needs his own players. -

I'm not writing him off as I think he's a golascorer, it's just at what level that will be. However, what you're praising him for in your post is what I'd expect from a striker in the West Lancs - basic movement. -

Udinese/Watford have the same owners so if he ends up at either of them he may well be shipped out to the other on loan. Probably depends on whose books will accommodate him the easiest without breaking any financial rules! -

Exactly this IMO. I don't think it's a lack of fight. They've shown plenty fight in defending leads, I think the reason we haven't won a point after going behind is almost entirely down to the way we play and the personnel we have at the club. It will be interesting to see this month and in the summer what type of forwards GB/JDT brings to the club. It's encouraging he appears to want to sign a proper No.9 (I presume that is what Undav is). I'm also hoping he either gives Markanday and Dolan more minutes, but if he doesn't think they're good enough that he finds players in that mould. -

We've struggled for goals for 12 months. At least Dack is back because BBD is doing exactly the same last season - good for half season and then his goals dry up. . -
