  1. My sources tell me it's all a bit of a mix-up and Gregg's actually just ordered some new Ugg boots.
  2. Waggot's booked him on a Flybe
  3. I think whoever he plays against he will win headers. He's a bit Andy Carroll in that respect. I just don't think he gave Carter/Wharton a particularly torrid time. Ayala may handle him better in the box because he will position himself better and head more away.
  4. He's always caused havoc in the air, he used to do it for Burnley too. It's pretty much why he's a pro footballer. I'm happy with what I saw and the journo who was there backs it up.
  5. It does matter in the context of the discussion me and BankEnd Rover were having, because we were literally discussing what Sharpe had said.
  6. Just looked at Lancslive to see if i was going mad...but no their journo sees it the same.
  7. He said one before 'deadline day' i.e. today or tomorrow, not one before 'deadline' i.e. Tuesday at 11pm. So one signing tomorrow and then 'see what happens thereafter' i.e Tuesday, is what I think he's saying.
  8. Think Ayala was suspended after the sending off at Bristol City. I was directly in line with our defensive line in the 2nd half and I can assure you he didn't win 'every' header. He was hardly in the game. But he is renowned for his aerial threat, every defender has difficulty with him in the air.
  9. Harsh on the CB's. Carter played well and Jutkiewicz did very little. SW also played quite well until the mistake that led to their 2nd. Kaminski was shit though, and has been for a while.
  10. Morton's had good games and bad....he's just making glaring mistakes at the moment like for Khadra's goal yesterday. He's not a DM in the traditional sense, he's suited to PremWorld where nobody puts a tackle but you have to be good enough on the ball to keep the ball when you're being swarmed. Like you I think he's in the wrong league but that doesn't mean he won't have good games for us. It's just everyone seems to have gone backwards since the WC break...except Dack and JRC. If we are in for O'Brien then that might suggest JDT is trying to rectify the issue. I think O'Brien is a DM who is a bit more rugged and can pass it, but I might be wrong?
  11. The header from Jutkiewicz that went over? That was probably his only mistake all game, and Dolan was slow on the cover so a few glares went his way as well.
  12. Exactly, which goes back to the 'project'....if we want success and JDT is the man to bring it then he's going to need his own players. As above, Morton adds very little defensive cover...he's also young and prone to mistakes. He's clearly a good technical footballer though, but looks very much the product of modern Academies.
  13. As Sharpe says in the LT today, JDT sees Morton as integral to the way Rovers play. Our CM's are more like DM's. They just sit in front of the back 4, get the ball and move it on. Buckley's instruction seems to hit the killer ball as often as possible, whereas Morton seems to just play square/back and keep possession.
  14. What he said was JRC had to work hard to get in his plans. He has obviously done that. Your comments on his lack of ability earlier in the thread were wide of the mark even then.
  15. I think he was just stating the obvious i.e. that of course he would like some new signings. He wasn't implying there were any lined up.
  16. Pretty much how I saw it, although I thought Pickering played some good balls forward in the first half. JRC was immense, Dack was good also. Buckley and Morton gave the ball away endlessly first half, 2nd half they improved. BBD might as well be in Spain and Gally just doesn't get in positions to score. Hedges is a nice tidy footballer but not much comes from it. I thought the defence was ok generally, SW wasn't as bad as some are making out, he and Carter kept Jutz quiet for the most part. Kaminski has been a liability for weeks. He deffo needs dropping. You can see why JDT wanted a new keeper. Today made me think that JDT is on the right path, but that he needs his own players to play the way he wants.
  17. Yeah, he's chucking them in his own net at the moment. Our strikers are misfiring, and our keeper is flapping. Not a good mix.
  18. Agreed. We played well in places, some really good one-touch stuff, hopefully a glimpse into how JDT wants to play when he gets in the players he wants.
  19. Sadly that isn't true. All clubs have their vermin. If true, hopefully they identify and prosecute the individual.
  20. What a season that was. RIP Howard K.
