  1. There is the ideal world and the real world we live in as rovers fans. Unfortunately for rovers fans the real world is a place where we loan players like Elliott and they do well for us and they head off back to their parent clubs
  2. "We don't want to lose Owen for any more matches. He's had a fantastic impact in the team, he will be a miss but we have Harry Pickering who can come in and do a very good job. "You always learn from these situations, it's a big derby and a good experience for him. He's disappointed, he thinks he's let us down but he hasn't, it's fine. "This is part of his development and learning. We have a fantastic group of players and nobody will ever intentionally get sent off and let the boys down. "It's the heat of the moment stuff and the important thing is to learn from it." JE Got to love this. Our Head Coach
  3. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/24611651.milutin-osmajic-charged-fa-blackburn-rovers-bite/ News just announced
  4. Win for us either way.if he performs like he has done this week. Helps our relationship with Brighton too after the Undav debacle
  5. Yeh that's what I read too. But if you are choosing to leave a top 4 side to join a top ?10 side to get games and then get loaned out to the championship for said games.. why not skip the middle man and not just stay at arsenal and request a loan from there. nelson, viera, others have been loaned out by arsenal.
  6. Do you think he will eventually replace Dolan or hedges on the wings once he is up to speed? (Or hedges gets his seasonal medium term injury)
  7. Weird isn't it. Although fits a pattern with arsenal. Either you got what they want (Saka, ?nelson) or you don't and they ship you off (smith rowe, nketiah, willock) Seems strange to let him go for free if Brighton then just loan him out. Don't know why arsenal didn't just keep him and then loan him. They did the same with that guy who went to Chelsea last year (omari Hutchinson) for free. They then sell him for £20m to Ipswich. Arsenal's transfer dealings seem a little unplanned, sometimes akin to ours !!
  8. We're they? Ha. Well he's done well this week which gives me hope.
  9. https://talksport.com/football/2081077/simon-jordan-mike-tyson-osmajic-beck-bite-liverpool/amp/ Now, people calling for a season's ban, I don't think there's any precedent for that, but I do think the guy needs to have the book thrown at him.” I don't think anyone has forgotten! EFL and FA take their sweet time but the media will add pressure. Great article
  10. The next Bukayo Saka The comparison to Saka was first coined by Arsenal Under 18s coach Jack Wilshere. “Amario is very exciting and Mikel likes him,” Wilshere said. https://www.wearebrighton.com/newsopinion/brighton-sign-the-next-saka-amario-cozier-duberry-from-arsenal/ Have to admit prior to us signing him I had not heard of the fella but looking at the comments on arsenal websites and articles the fans weren't best pleased they let him go for free (or almost free) not sure what they are playing at he looks like a real steal for Brighton (and now us for the season!) Looking at his hat trick this week I am excited to see him prosper in our first team.
  11. Exactly. I've posted about this in the PNE Thread so worth going there for the continued discussion. Back to QPR.. any indication of any changes? Interesting article about Batth in Lt today
  12. Haha exactly! I think unbeaten in both instances= good result in the end with the context at play. Sure on paper playing against 10men We " should win" is an argument but we didnt create enough decent chances. We also didn't concede and others have argued that Pears was MOTM suggesting we could have even lost against PNE with chances they had compared to our front line.
  13. I think the point of the article is to explain that it's not a myth. Read the article?🤷
  14. Just did a bit of googling... Teams are better at playing with a man down that they used to be. (Comparison 1990-2000 Vs 2000- currently) https://www.theguardian.com/sport/blog/2010/feb/11/the-question-teams-better-10-men
  15. Fair fair. I guess we could always do better but it's the context too. Away from home, local rival. Playing against ten men. Relatively new squad. Could argue we set up incorrectly and should have started gueye instead of Yuki against their tall defenders. Well QPR is a game to make that right. I would be disappointed if we play poorly and don't win at QPR
  16. I guess we have to Trust JE for now. Him and the coaches are watching all these players in training and they'll make a decision when Toth is ready to come in. Like you say maybe his presence is helping Pears. Maybe Pears has a good GK to learn from too. Looking forward to more opportunities to see Toth play
  17. Bad advice back then from agents making money out of venous. They seem to be a bit more sensible now. But it's not our money to spend it's theirs
  18. Given the circumstances a point gained a clean sheet and we maintained unbeaten run with only a couple of other teams. I think we are right on track. No disappointment taken from the PNE game. QPR will be a great opportunity for us to continue our strong start
  19. Getting back to Toth.. any ideas of how he plays? Haven't managed to watch the highlights yet
  20. Awesome cheers mate
  21. Appreciate the comments guys but this thread isn't about Pears and if we think he should be dropped. 🙂 Back to the subject... Toth Just looking for some inside info on Toths performance, style, ability etc.
  22. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/24606793.cozier-duberry-hat-trick-six-players-feature-u21s/ Turns out he played for u21s! Any one get inside info on how he performed? The article doesn't give a lot of details. Wonder if he is a long or short passer etc
  23. I'm kinda glad they didn't. Hes had a chance of a proper run in with crystal palace. Proper game time. At city he may not get a chance for months or years or end up like Philips, pep is quite particular. Palace is good at grounding him and giving him a chance to establish himself in the PL. If rodri didn't get injured he would be their main CM for mostly every game. This way Wharton gets game time, practice at PL level, exposure and time to develop. Win win for him and he's the main guy at palace.
  24. Rodri injured and out for season... Apparently.. city want Wharton to replace him in Jan https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/adam-whartonman-city-midfield-succession-plan-england-star-attracting-top-level-interest/bltd0ca950bc5970515
