  1. The next Bukayo Saka The comparison to Saka was first coined by Arsenal Under 18s coach Jack Wilshere. “Amario is very exciting and Mikel likes him,” Wilshere said. https://www.wearebrighton.com/newsopinion/brighton-sign-the-next-saka-amario-cozier-duberry-from-arsenal/ Have to admit prior to us signing him I had not heard of the fella but looking at the comments on arsenal websites and articles the fans weren't best pleased they let him go for free (or almost free) not sure what they are playing at he looks like a real steal for Brighton (and now us for the season!) Looking at his hat trick this week I am excited to see him prosper in our first team.
  2. Exactly. I've posted about this in the PNE Thread so worth going there for the continued discussion. Back to QPR.. any indication of any changes? Interesting article about Batth in Lt today
  3. Haha exactly! I think unbeaten in both instances= good result in the end with the context at play. Sure on paper playing against 10men We " should win" is an argument but we didnt create enough decent chances. We also didn't concede and others have argued that Pears was MOTM suggesting we could have even lost against PNE with chances they had compared to our front line.
  4. I think the point of the article is to explain that it's not a myth. Read the article?🤷
  5. Just did a bit of googling... Teams are better at playing with a man down that they used to be. (Comparison 1990-2000 Vs 2000- currently) https://www.theguardian.com/sport/blog/2010/feb/11/the-question-teams-better-10-men
  6. Fair fair. I guess we could always do better but it's the context too. Away from home, local rival. Playing against ten men. Relatively new squad. Could argue we set up incorrectly and should have started gueye instead of Yuki against their tall defenders. Well QPR is a game to make that right. I would be disappointed if we play poorly and don't win at QPR
  7. I guess we have to Trust JE for now. Him and the coaches are watching all these players in training and they'll make a decision when Toth is ready to come in. Like you say maybe his presence is helping Pears. Maybe Pears has a good GK to learn from too. Looking forward to more opportunities to see Toth play
  8. Bad advice back then from agents making money out of venous. They seem to be a bit more sensible now. But it's not our money to spend it's theirs
  9. Given the circumstances a point gained a clean sheet and we maintained unbeaten run with only a couple of other teams. I think we are right on track. No disappointment taken from the PNE game. QPR will be a great opportunity for us to continue our strong start
  10. Getting back to Toth.. any ideas of how he plays? Haven't managed to watch the highlights yet
  11. Awesome cheers mate
  12. Appreciate the comments guys but this thread isn't about Pears and if we think he should be dropped. 🙂 Back to the subject... Toth Just looking for some inside info on Toths performance, style, ability etc.
  13. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/24606793.cozier-duberry-hat-trick-six-players-feature-u21s/ Turns out he played for u21s! Any one get inside info on how he performed? The article doesn't give a lot of details. Wonder if he is a long or short passer etc
  14. I'm kinda glad they didn't. Hes had a chance of a proper run in with crystal palace. Proper game time. At city he may not get a chance for months or years or end up like Philips, pep is quite particular. Palace is good at grounding him and giving him a chance to establish himself in the PL. If rodri didn't get injured he would be their main CM for mostly every game. This way Wharton gets game time, practice at PL level, exposure and time to develop. Win win for him and he's the main guy at palace.
  15. Rodri injured and out for season... Apparently.. city want Wharton to replace him in Jan https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/adam-whartonman-city-midfield-succession-plan-england-star-attracting-top-level-interest/bltd0ca950bc5970515
  16. Yep totally agree. We will lose some but top6-8 would be fine.. top 6 would be great. Anything is else above is a bonus considering
  17. Yeh just curious. Hopefully will find out soon enough although pears has had a couple of good games lately. The cup will probably help see how he is
  18. Yeh it is strange but also they didn't play him in their previous cup game at all and he played the full 90mins the previous PL game so it could just be they see him as so valuable against Utd they didn't want to lose. It worked I guess. He played half the match. They didn't concede or lose. Let's see if he gets recovery time or he starts the next match
  19. Wooah there mate slow down Raya is currently world class sure playing in premier league and champions League and consistently performing Pears has currently made a couple of clean sheets in the championship so let's just hold perspective
  20. Yeh I know that I mean has anyone seen him in action ie for u21s etc
  21. Lol. Yes agree but how about our actual players. Haha
  22. Basically all our defensive players which I agree with. So how about this..who had the worst game for us then?
  23. We do have a strong bench. Tbf it's a difficult one to answer. I was more curious about whether he was ill or just not in the squad for another reason
  24. Haha yeh I do rate him too. Shame about the red (I thought that wasn't a red but this has been discussed)
  25. Fair enough! It's great to have this forum for these discussions. Glad we have 3-4 players we are debating over who had the better game in a 0-0. Wouldn't have had this discussion last season!
