  1. Thanks..have seen it and posted the link. I think Andy isn't asking the right questions. He should be questioning what the hell is going on at the club. Whether JDT sits down or not makes no difference to the quality of the players we have. You can train them to win their duels but if they don't perform and the bench is half injured or youth he hasn't got much options. Standing and screaming at the players won't help
  2. Ok what I note from this interview and the questions about him sitting on the side of the pitch is 1) he is talking to his players...win your personal duels..I train you all week to do this and I sit and you don't do the absolute basics. Imagine watching your children continuing to fluff up. You do get frustrated after time. There is only so much he can do when they play so poorly and nothing he can do standing up on the sidelines will help 2) pears is back in contention. Leo clearly isn't JDTs first choice. A lot of what we are watching are a stop gap and he is really clear about this.. that's why he is so calm. He can't do much more with what he is (or rather not ) given. This interview is trying to make him the scapegoat but it's not his fault. The owners and chairman to blame. Wish the interviewers would have more courage to ask proper questions instead of asking why JDT is sat down
  3. Thanks for this. All of their goals were gifted to them..we are too generous
  4. Is there an option for a perm tsf with Travis?
  5. FFS. At least JDT says blame him and not the players. Great leadership but he should say blame waggot and venkys
  6. Squad is looking healthy finally. A few injuries are returning. Let's see what they can do today. 2-3 rovers
  7. Can we sell Leo in this window for his current value? Please?!
  8. It's a poisoned chalice. Hopefully other clubs will see that if they ever approach jdt
  9. I'm hoping it leads to us getting a couple of experienced bodies in the building... Although I know what you mean!
  10. "It is a position we are extremely stretched in now," he said. "This window is extremely important for the club to get it right. "I think we should have signed two (defenders) in the summer. Before these things happened, I think the club should have brought players in. "Now with James and Travis going away, then there is space to use, money to use." Tomasson is particularly disappointed to be losing Hill, who had become a regular in the side after breaking into the team in October. Whether that full-back or in the middle, Hill was an important contributor to the squad. It leaves a big hole for the club to fill. "We are losing James Hill, we lost Daniel Ayala and we lost Ashley Phillips," Tomasson said. "Two went out of the building, one came in. Now he is also gone." Wow. Gotta say he is the most honest coach
  11. Yep agreed Suits all parties. Perhaps Trav is on performance based payments too so he hasn't been selected/playing to save money
  12. Any news on the rescheduled Cardiff game? I planned to stay in Cardiff that weekend but now it's the facup! Doh!
  13. Haha imagine that we had such competent negotiators! We would have got a better deal if so LOL. This
  14. The main reason for the Cherries bringing him back is to cover their injury problems at the back. It is not out of the question then that if those issues were to clear up, Hill could return before the window closes
  15. Connor O'Riordan remains a player of interest but negotiations are still ongoing with Crewe Alexandra about the structure of the deal. The defender has a 500K release clause in his contract and Rovers are still the front runners for the deal. However, it's understood the club are keen to spread that payment due to their financial restraints, whilst Crewe are short of money themselves and want as much as possible up front. Ffs
  16. Not sure where to post this but having seen the arsenal decline lately and looking at these stats it feels familiar with rovers. Arsenal play "great" football have loads of chances and shots but lose. They have a high xg but don't convert. Seems similar to us ! Apart from we have a terrible defence as well!!
  17. This would be really frustrating if it's true. We don't have the depth and he is playing well
  18. That's what I thought too haha
  19. Everyone's entitled to their opinion. And TBF he has kicked a ball. 6 starts and 1 goal on loan from aug til Dec. We will get behind him as all rovers players but let's not kid ourselves. He is not what we require during this window. We are taking what we are offered, probably by agents. I doubt our first team coach wanted a player of his calibre but under this regime when do our coaches or fans get the players we actually require?
  20. Save on wages eh? Something has to pay for all these PL loan wages!
  21. "I didn't use James Hill so he wasn't cup-tied. "It was not necessary but he was ready to help the team. He's a very good player and it's been a pleasure to work with him. He's done really, really well." JDT on hill. Jdt seems like a nice guy. The above proves it. But also wtf We don't employ him and sign players to help them develop when they are already going back to their loan club. What's the purpose in that.
  22. Whilst I agree with your comments I think if carter is sold for £8m his " replacement" o Riordan is not a replacement. It's a backwards move. This method will only go so far until we are relegated
