  1. If games like these don't grab the interest and get people out of the pubs, then nothing will. Coming off the back of a good win, a tough but winnable game a chance to put us in European contention. Ticks all the boxes. Would hope for a good turn out against Villa on the back of this one. Come on you super Blues!
  2. Have to say the back pages haven't jumped on the Bully Boys bandwagon either, so a good weekends work all round. Qotsa's post shows what we are up against though, we have very few friends out there in Media land.
  3. We are actually on a hiding to nothing. Win, loose or draw we'll come out smelling of doo-doo. Just waiting for Wenger to make a pre match comment about our reputation and how the referee needs to be strong, and the scene will be set. So just hope the result goes our way and don't read the Sunday papers
  4. Bring on the Nancy Boys. We owe you one, big time. Not to mention, the Arse lickin, london based hacks. Come on you SUPER BLUES !!
  5. What kind of buisness have we done on Half-Season tickets?
  6. Agreed. But some people are writing them off already after a few below par performances. Surely thats premature in the extreme.
  7. Some not very clever posters on 606, Rovers topic ?? Think of this seriously for a mo and ask yourselves howcome? if not in the first place then on the other hand if not then who and why? another way of looking at it would be to stand at a distance and totally detach oneself to get a neautral point of view. If then you see the whole picture and come to the same conclusion as I then so be it! OK 2-1 at Old Trafford was fantastic, but no buts! if lancastrians can't then who can hey? as for the other lot the least said the better, Oh yes! Quoted message from Researcher 1755202
  8. Living in Scotland I don't get to keep up with the Youth teams. However, judging by the comments of those that do, are we not in danger of burdening our young charges with too much expectation ? At such tender ages qualities such as strength, stamina, consistency and overall reading of the game are still to be developed. However a good thread and appreciate being able to keep up wi t'youth.
  9. One things for sure, the game we love is chaging rapidly. Hope we survive !
  10. The problem is, its NOT a club shop anymore. Its a sports shop right next to the ground. No doubt it still has certain contractual commitments to the club but its main aim is to be profitable. So you can say goodbye to obscure/twee club merchendise and memorabilia. Its pile it high, sell it cheap, which suits some but not all. There's probably an oportunity cryng out for a private entrepreneur (Del Boy !!) to start producing Rovers Objet d'art !
  11. In a nut shell. Now lock this thread so we can spend more topic time gloating over a superb performance and victory over the scum !!
  12. Has anyone got the TxT numbers to vote. Can't find them on the official site anymore ?
  13. Your a Rover, get used to it ! It was my Birthday on Wednesday. Unforgettable. Thank you Rovers for allowing me to sing " Are you Burnley in disguise" to the Red Army. Legendry.
  14. D'OH And the 'starting a pointless' thread award goes to....................
  15. Good luck to the boys tonight. On a 12 hour night shift tonight, so I can party all night, weyhey
  16. We should sell tickets for Cat B games, the same way Easy Jet sell tickets for their Flights. The earlier you book your ticket the cheaper it is. As more tickets are sold and the less seats there are the price goes up incrementally. We wouldn't neccessarily loose money and may fill the ground more, with people buying earlier. This would allow the club to organise catering and stewarding more effectively and may help to budget more efficiently. Discuss
  17. Collateral for if the result doesn't go his way. With the talent and finances at their disposal shouldn't make a difference
  18. Don't disagree with the post TND. Problem is I think he IS just criticising the EPL. He is far to quick to comment on any and all matters concerning English football. We are almost an obsession for him. Fact is, most proffessional leagues in the world have a limited domination by financially powerful teams. As head of World football, he should direct his criticism at the"global problem". I don't trust the man.
