  1. Has anyone else seen that stupid click bait thing claiming Man Utd are eyeing up a move for Ainsley P, in preference to Onana.. I mean AI is responsible for some shite on the tinterweb, but really?? 🙂 We have some good memories from this season, banked and there to be recalled in the dark days ahead. There is a lot to let go of this season too. It is only Wednesday, but am mighty tempted to watch this one through strong beer goggles 🙂
  2. We will be 3 down before any of our subs come on. The game will be over, and so will our season. So predictable. Come. On. You. Blues.. 😞
  3. Depressing as it is, the season pretty much ends for Rovers this week. Yeah we will scrape the odd result here and there, but there isn't going to be any last hurrah from the rabble of unsecured journeymen that Messrs Waggott and Suhail Pasha have overseen the recruitment of.. It does beg the question though... WHAT NEXT? Of course, ALLEZ LES BLEU!, but what if there is no longer a team to get behind? What then?
  4. The last piece of the jigsaw for me is Danny Baath. He has far more composure and gravitas about him than any of our other options at the back, and reads the game far more comfortably. Till he returns, the slide towards dead rubber run in will continue inexorably, sliding away on Pears' errors, Hyams' timidity, Sandersons ineptitude and Carter's gung-ho foraging. Where IS Danny B??
  5. I suppose we share a similar recent track record in terms of the impact of appointments. Mind you, Stoke's benefactors are well and truly minted, and don't hide in the shadows like our goons...At least if you are going to complain about the shit show, you can be fairly sure that the message actually reaches those at whom it is aimed. We poor sods, in contrast, have been talking to ourselves in true schizo fashion, like the old bird who used to wander around Blackburn Boulevard (bus station to you) speaking in tongues and shouting, "Fucking bastaaard" to nobody in particular but anyone who paid the slightest attention. 'Earwig' we used to call her, as she would hold her hands over her ears whilst uttering oaths and her 'fucking bastaarrd' refrain - VERY reminiscent of the 'protest movement' down Ewood way these past donkeys years. Gawd rest her soul (whilst ours continues to writhe in torment). Potters to give us a firing - Stoke 3 Rovers not even at the races 0 Rovers to re-kindle the faltering fires of fanhope - Potters 1 Rovers Rejuvenated 2 Rovers Potted - Stoke City 1 (Gallagher 93) Blackburn Rovers 0 (feck off back up the M6 you 'Fucking Bastaaard' Earwigs
  6. Rovers' version of the 'New Manager Bounce' 😞
  7. Their players taking every opportunity to have a rest and stop the game. Ridiculous. The referee is way out of his league here too.
  8. Two very poor sides here. Derby timewasting as if their lives depend on it...
  9. Hopefully the rabbit in the headlights thing is a blip, and the goal will steady the resolve of the lads.
  10. WHat the actual fook do these lads and management do in training? They look like rabbits in the headlights here, against a weak Derby side... WTaF
  11. Safe drive Chris! I hope you have a cracking day out!
  12. Loving the Franglaise, Chadster! (or is it FrenGlish? Either way, ALLEZ LES BLEU!! TOUT LE MONDE. VOIR LES INVINCIBLES! (and then I woke up) Come on, YOU BLUES!
  13. So, Derby haven't netted since JE took over, and he's led them to three successive defeats.. I say feck that - nothing has any bearing on tomorrow's game other than the attitude of our players, and our will to win. We do have a habit of giving goals away, and who knows, maybe JE's tactical insights into the Rovers squad might be an advantage in his mind, but that is the only place it should be allowed to exist. I say go at them from the outset - from what I've seen of the Rams, they are more Ramshackle than Rampant, and Rovers easily have enough on paper to take the game to them and win. Bloody banana skin bollocks! Derby & Joan Performance - Rams 1 Rovers Regress 0 Der be gold in dem der hills - Derbee Drought goes on 0 Rovers 3 Rams Roar Repeatedly - County 3 Rovers 3 Like practically any of the next 4 games, this has 'season defining' written all over it, so let's hope Valerien has the lads revved up and ready 🙂 ALLEZ LES BLEU!!!
  14. What a tedious read! We go with what we have got - which isn't John Eustace any more...
  15. Forshaw is the weak link in this side. Get Tronstadt on at half time, and Yuki for Dolan.
  16. Nobbers beating the Dingles 2-0 at half time 😉
  17. Well, it isn't like he didn't have ages to find out before being unveiled... We need to get ahead somehow in this game. I think if we can, we will run out comfortable winners. If not, it might not be our day, because Norwich have created some good chances.
  18. We look out of sorts. I think Forshaw is the wrong selection and Dolan is having one of his poor games Cantwell is rapidly becoming a busted flush for me - he simply doesn't do enough for the team., but neither is he showing individual quality and outstanding flashes.
  19. This is the kind of post that makes reading this forum a pleasure, and a welcome change from the usual foul-mouthed keyboard warrior nonsense that I spout far too often. Fair play to you RoverInverness for your reminder of the values that make BRFCS a great place to get your Rovers fix! Thank You! ALLEZ LES BLEU!!
  20. No need for Forshaw to be involved once Tronstadt is back, and likewise our attacking options are enhanced massively once Yuki becomes fully available again. Remember the impact that key players had on our long winning streak, and how the team spirit shines through when we score, when we win and when we get results 'against the odds'. ALLEZ ALLEZ ALLEZ LES BLEU BLEU BLEU!!!
  21. Wahlsted was genuinely out of his depth at Rovers - the poor lad was as thin as a rake, got precious little time to build his confidence, and didn't get enough time in the side (thankfully) to establish himself. What I guess we all need to factor in is that for a long time Blackburn Rovers has been synonymous with excellent (or at least very high) goalkeeping standards. Starting with the great 'Sir' Roger Jones, through Terry Gennoe, Jim Arnold, Bobby Simms, Tim Flowers, Brad Friedel, Alan Kelly, John Filan, Paul Robinson, David Raya are all stand-outs who would walk into today's side no questions asked. (Mind you, they'd probably leave in disgust at the decline in quality in front of them though!). And of course we have suffered some duds.. no names mentioned...but you know who I mean. So, in many respects we have been spoiled and encouraged to hold high expectations and standards over the years...In the end, Ainsley Pears is generally competent, and has a good number of clean sheets to his gloves this season. He has the glass jaw that all journeymen players suffer from though too, although you only need to look at the national headlines to see that goalkeeping afflictions are not the sole preserve of the Ewood faithful! https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c1lppd1p9mzo Once Tronstadt is back in the line-up, I think we will see a return to more miserly performances in front of our goal, so with any luck the number of opportunities for teflon to strike may be reduced to a minimum. It is an exciting prospect that our 'best 11' is coming back into contention just in time for the run in. It should certainly be a concern to the clubs around us that we may be able to deploy a strong line up, with cover and with a very strong together ethos running through the side. We could do with a lift, this side of Lancashire, to send a clear two fingered salute to those who would hold us down, and to bring some joy back to the mouldering crumbling facilities down at Ewood. Maybe the French Connection will do the trick! I really do hope so! ALLEZ LES BLEU!!
  22. Hmm.. the new guy has come in with positive statements and an air of the big man in town about him.. Will there be enough of an impact on the team to make a decent run in possible? As has been pointed out, key players on whose effort and team spirit and contribution our earlier form was built are now coming back into contention. The coach won't have enough time to make selection decisions based on potential, and will need to lean heavily on the (depleted) back-room team to put a suitable blend of players out, with a back of of strong options on the bench. Norwich are more settled perhaps, and although not much better in terms of recent form are still very much in the mix, only 4 points behind us, so they will want to win. Question in my mind is, will our players want it more? We shall see come 12.30 on Saturday. A partisan crowd to roar us on in French?? Hoping for a Valerian valedictorum Rovers 3 (Kargbo, Gueye, Ohashi) Canaries 0 Canaries lost in a coalmine Rovers 4 (Brittain, Gueye 2, Ohashi) Yellers 0 Rovers no richer - Les Bleu 1 Les Jaunes 2 Allez les Bleu! Allez les Bleu! Un jeu, un jour à la fois ALLEZ LES BLEU!
