And now we have a striker who is scoring goals, midfielders chipping in with goals too. Just need to get Tronstadt back and we will be firing on all cylinders again. COYB!! -

The penalty should in fact have been an indirect free kick, for dangerous play. But I'm not complaining. Just pointing out the Laws of the Game 😉 -

That will do! Rovers more than deserved that victory, and only conceded after the steel was taken off.. -

Gueye is on fire this evening. Hedges and Buckley need a fire lighting up their arses. -

These are there for the taking. They have offered very little, created nothing for Pears to deal with, AND Rovers look committed and up for this as a team. Having said that, we have some glaring holes in the approach, with Hedges doing nothing, Dolan very little and Buckley ineffective. Let's see what the second half brings. Travis has bossed it so far. -

Should be 2 - Hedges skied that when it was easier to hit the target -

FFS the Rovers match day live commentary is a PNE bloke, supported by an ex PNE player. What the ACTUAL FUCK are Rovers doing? Where are the Rovers Commentators for a ROVERS HOME GAME??? For clarification, I am in Germany this evening, so unable to watch from the Riverside as would be my preference... -

Definitely Guinness. GIn and Tonic at a push. Champagne, moi? Non! Cheers! I'll pop a tinnie as soon as there's any actual transfer business done - not news, not rumour, not 'he's in the building', not 'Rovers hope to..' Nope. Sauce only applies when business has been transacted. Source - the Old Codger. -

Harry, the goalie at Mill Hill St. Peters many years ago had a similar pattern for organising his defence at free kicks, to Rovers approach to lining up new players in needed positions. It used to go something along the lines of, "Left, left, LEFT! LEFT!... LEFT! LEFT!....Oh fucking hell!" He never seemed to learn.. A good shot-stopper on his day, and talked a good game, but there was always a lot of muttering and downcast looks when there was a free kick situation near the box.. Life is full of funny little fractals like that, dontcha think? -

We are without doubt, the cast off / no longer bothered with alien ant farm purchased as a toy by inbred spoilt idiots on a whim because they thought it might make them popular with the normal kids on the block. Now gathering dust, waiting to be Freecycled. -

Not going into this fixture with a defeatist attitude, despite the ongoing farce of the fuckwits doing their best to undermine our proud and professional club. Admittedly I know the square root of effall (technical term) about the Nob Enders and their season to date, other than that they sit below the Rovers in the table as things stand. Small margins separate success from despair in this league, and even with a ragbag of misfits Capn JE has been able to get a tune out of the players at his disposal, if you take the long view so far this season. Whether we can gird sufficient steel from the battling Blue and Whites on Friday remains to be seen. What I do know is that I am sick to the back teeth of near neighbours going away from Ewood with anything other than a sinking feeling and our collective feet marks on their arse. This coming Friday could be a good time to restore pride in this corner of East Lancashire, and send our poor relations back down the A59 singing sad songs of what might have been but never was. We are overdue a 'performance' from our battlers. Let it be on Friday night, to the chagrin of the lillywhite surrendermob. Head: Small Margins: Rovers 1 Nob Enders 0 Heart: Pride flows hot through the veins: Rovers 3 Circumcised Bretheren 0 Hell in a Hand Clart: Rovers 2 No Benders 3 Damn thee to hell, ye spawn of Skytan. COYB! -

That would be my dream scenario - the obvious team spirit and togetherness that JE has harnessed to good effect, comes good as players regain fitness, and we go on another mazy run of ground out good results! Yesss! I can imagine the phone lines from Brockhall to Pune suddenly going white hot with expletives and threats to Waggott's goolies... If I'm honest, that would be my preferred scenario for this season - JE gets to show he is an alchemist of the finest pedigree, the players get the satisfaction of shoving their employer's disdain for them and the fans up their jacksy, and we my friends, get a trip to Wemberlee!! If there are any players reading this, or even the mighty JE, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do your best to get and stay fit, give the Venksters and the rag-salesman from Coalville a double digit salute and reap the rewards for being the best bunch of committed caring capable team-mates we have seen for many a year. Luton slogged their way out of the division the season before last - team spirit is alchemy, and if you've got a magic formula - DRINK THE FECK OUT OF IT LADS! COYB!!! -

The only relevance is that losing Pears potentially damages team morale and togetherness - it's not like the manager would see any of the money generated trickle back to bring in new players after all, is it? We have seen recently, when things have gone well on the pitch, just how well this group of players has gelled together under JE, and how much each hard earned victory has meant to them. They also show their appreciation to the travelling support and home fans alike, which is definitely an improvement on previous years. So, keeping the core of a functioning squad together is an important outcome from where I see things. It doesn't matter if a sale brings in £2.50 or £10 million, the arseholes won't spend any of it on replenishing the current squad. Venkys OUT! Waggott OUT! Suhail Pasha OUT! Rudy G - GROW A PAIR! -

They were looking for Euro 1.2 million, and our best offer was 1 mill, I believe. If it is going to happen, it will depend upon who blinks first in the last hour before deadline. -

Aye but it is just the usual piss and wind, as the ITK info about the so called interest from Boro is from gobshite nomark sources. But I 100% acknowledge we are having to consider piss and wind as gospel, due to the painful lack of any actual facts coming from the club (other than there have been no signings made).
