  1. I love to see democracy in action. With that in mind, I think it’s probably right to have a vote on whether the 7 ‘no’s’ should be publicly flogged.
  2. A cancer survivor and by all accounts a good bloke. ‘Gurning chimp’ seems a bit childish in the circumstances
  3. Last game of season we beat Sheffield Utd, hand Burnley promotion, and still miss out on the play offs on goal difference.
  4. 4 points off the playoffs with 2 to play. Next up: Rovers home to Watford Coventry away to Luton Bristol City away to Leeds
  5. We’ve played well. VI is starting to grow on me! Noticeable how much more we drive at the opposition when we get the ball in the final third. Hedges, Dolan and Travis have all been willing to carry the ball a lot more than under previous regimes.
  6. They’re gutted we’re winning! Hilarious
  7. Apparently we’ve had to soak up a lot of pressure! Who is the cock on co-comms?
  8. The bellend on co-comms has been chatting utter shite for 30 mins. He doesn’t know what to say now we’ve scored. It’s not in keeping with the narrative he’s been trying to create.
  9. We’ve played some good stuff at times and that was a brilliant move and goal.
  10. I love how the commentary team are desperate to imply Sunderland should be ahead. They’ve hardly threatened. it’s an even game
  11. My old man’s got Dementia and can’t remember much but he still lights up when I get out the Jackman’s and he can wax lyrical about the games of yesteryear. Mick McGrath was certainly a favourite of his. Every generation has their hero’s. RIP Mick
  12. But there’s the rub. How do you ‘get behind’ something you aren’t involved in? What exactly is happening away from match day that people can get involved in? Genuine question as I have no idea what is happening.
  13. Accy v Carlisle on Monday in a relegation 6 pointer!
  14. I’ve explained it. The lack of structure. Today was how he wants to play, and how Barnsley fans described his approach - hung ho, all action. It’s taken him 10 games to get there. A more measured approach was needed, not implementing his rather unique style at a critical point of the season. The players had no idea what they were doing. That’s on the manager.
  15. Oh the guy who wasn’t a regular starter
  16. If you’ve not seen it then it’s probably not worth discussing it. It’s been very obvious what has changed. And the boys in the playground comment is exactly how we’ve played - lots of running round like headless chickens without any organisation. Thats exactly how his first 5 or 6 matches played out. And then subs on 60 mins when the players are gassed. You must be one of the few who missed it. Thankfully he’s managed to impose some structure back on the team. Sadly too little too late.
  17. Think you’re overplaying the ‘massive blow’ of losing Ohashi. It’s not like we lost Szmodics!
  18. Yep, implemented his ‘boys in the playground’ football straight away, and in doing so took all the structure out of the team. All he had to do was stick to what Lowe was doing and tinker round the edges. He said he would and then did the opposite. He fucked up.
  19. Same. I’ve thought him an absolute clown, and still do, for the idiotic way he’s approached matches. But today was excellent. More of that please!
  20. The debacle under VI is entirely his fault. As you point out it’s a myth to say we had no confidence and were on an irreversible decline. WBA was indeed an excellent performance. All VI had to do was do what Lowe had done - instil a bit of belief in the players and allow them to play with a bit more freedom than they had under Eustace. He even said he wasn’t going to change much. Instead he changed everything to the point that the team was devoid of any structure. It’s only in the last couple of games that he appears to be getting his ideas across and getting the team organised. To not win in his first 7 games was a disgrace, and it’s all on him. A couple more wins and we’d be in the play off hunt. So yeah, he’s massively failed.
  21. He’s just a very good footballer at this level. The fact he hasn’t been spoken to about a new contract speaks volumes for the clowns running the club.
  22. I don’t blame them, I feel the same. It will be interesting to see if there is a big collapse in ST numbers. I think there’ll definitely be another fall off, just not sure how dramatic. What was it this season, 4000 adult ST’s sold? Lots of fans have already had enough at those numbers. The club are just relying on blind loyalty at this point. The summer will be crucial. Show some ambition and the club may retain quite a few of the 4k, take the piss again and it could be carnage. And without the adults. They aren’t going to sell the kids tickets, as your family is showing. I said a few weeks ago that the 1 metric that seems to bother Pasha is ST sales. He referenced his disappointment at current numbers recently if I’m not mistaken. I’m guessing that’s how he’s judged in Pune. He’d be wise not to take the piss this summer.
