  1. I wouldn't take any notice on there I haven't for a very long time. Many of the accounts which appear to be Rovers fans are either Dingles on the wind-up or weirdos who have made several accounts. The discourse as a result is completely unhinged.
  2. I wouldn't worry too much about sympathy for Gestede, he's not much of a fans' favourite. Had a brief decent spell here but then couldn't wait to leave. Then like most who leave here, didn't go on to achieve very much, I don't think many are enamored with him
  3. It's always worth drawing attention to Gestede he shouldn't be getting off scott free. It's not clear what his role is at the club and it's not clear why someone so inexperienced suddenly became a key decision maker (if he is?) at a championship club, without cutting his teeth elsewhere for such a role. It doesn't have to be vitriolic towards him but he does deserve some scrutiny, I'm sure he's being paid handsomely for the privilege.
  4. Unfortunately, I expect us to lose tomorrow to continue Ismael's absolutely honking start. A week today we have a much trickier fixture than any of his others so far, if that starts going pear-shaped I think the majority of ground will turn and we'll be back at the sort of atmosphere we had in 2012 under you know who The manager and players will also end up copping some flak but that's my gut feeling on how next seven days is going to go.. 👎
  5. That's not how I remember that game, I remember it being very cagey at 1-0 and if a couple of close refereeing calls had gone the other way... Etc...
  6. Exactly, they cannot give one single example in 15 years of where they have driven the club forward. (unless you count promotion from the third tier, which was an absolute embarrassment they caused in the first place!!) 15 years of humiliation, zero progress.
  7. Yes, I signed up when I read the statement they put out about Eustace as there seemed to be some impetus but I've heard nothing at all since then. I'd be interested to know why they opted out of working with other fan groups, there might be a good reason, but what is it? Do they have anything to add or another plan of attack for putting these executives and the owners under pressure?
  8. It will be "to mark the occasion all STHs get 10% off a £150 spend on anything* at the Rovers Store" (anything except home or away kits obviously which is what most people buy)
  9. My ST going up in BBE, presuming that is because they finally fixed the steps in the concourse coz they were falling to bits... 😎👌 Value
  10. Why can't they read the room? Large sections of the fanbase are either really fed up or absolutely furious with the way the club is being run. Then they stick these prices up with a jingoistic promo video. A target of 4400 season tickets being sold is absolutely embarrassing for this historic football club, can't believe they've even said that on record, every other club in Lancashire ( + probably everywhere else) will be pissing their sides laughing at us. There are probably several clubs in league 2 shifting more than that. How can Washa and Paggott be openly announcing that. Didn't the club have almost 20k season ticket holders when the the Wankys bought the club? What do Pasha and Waggott have to say about that? Could someone ask them directly what their thoughts are on that at next forum?
  11. Doesn't take a genius to work out that this is their default position and has been for years now. So not sure why he is announcing it as some kind of epiphany -That they know they'll only ever get their money back if we get promotion. They must be hoping that eventually we'll fluke our way up like B*rnley did under Coyle or Blackpool did under Holloway, that the law of averages says at some point we'll get promoted. We know it's nowhere near as simple as that. That clubs like Forest were stuck in this division for 20 years and that other clubs like Bristol City and PNE who are both better run than we have been have been stuck in this division a very long time. As we saw in 2016 and last year, we're more likely to accidentally fall out of this division than fluke a promotion from it under their stewardship 👎
  12. I agree we can't be hysterical about his appointment, one man in front of me in BBE on Sat started screaming "Ismael out" when second Cardiff goal went in... But I was very underwhelmed by the fact that not once in the last few weeks has he ever mentioned the words "playoff" or "promotion", given that he inherited a team that was in 5th with a mouthwatering run of fixtures giving the opportunity cement that. Then after defeats at Derby and Stoke, two of this season's actual donkey teams, he started talking about the summer and preparing for next season. A complete lack of interest and ambition. Alarming for me.
  13. Fair enough, it must be me that's out of touch coz these guys are really popular. That Mark Goldbridge got so popular he got his own show on TalkSport eventually. He was a copper from Nottingham who supported Forest. He one day changed his name and started supporting Man United, filming himself in his bedroom screaming at matches and now he's successful. Bizarre.
  14. Re this Roverseas fella, It's a free country and it's not harming anyone, but I don't see the appeal of watching someone else watch a football match in their bedroom or whatever. At least with TV and Radio they are professional broadcasters who pay experts to give views and usually have access to managers and players to interview post-match. I find it very odd that so many people these days watch these influencers watch the game and often just watch it to see them get mad and scream. Bizarre world.
  15. I meant a WhatsApp channel rather than a group, I think a large group chat would be too chaotic and cumbersome. WhatsApp channels are things you can subscribe to that just send you updates via notifications, you can't reply to them. Pretty handy.
  16. Glad someone has shared this or otherwise I wouldn't know. I got rid of Facebook and Twitter a few months back for different reasons. WATR would do well to send emails about this stuff and not just rely on people who have paid to be involved seeing tweets about it. Or maybe find a way to send notifications via WhatsApp like Rovers are able to do.
  17. Please don't watch the game back don't do it to yourself, watch some paint dry or walk barefoot on some Lego instead
  18. We probably won't win another game until Sheffield United away to send 'that lot' up automatically
  19. I also recently joined the Trust (when Eustace walked and the statement was put out). I also haven't had any correspondence/updates as yet. I agree with above poster - While it might seem cynical to do so, they need to be tapping into the anger of the fanbase at the moment due to the on-pitch stuff, 'coz we know the bigger picture is the off-pitch stuff. There needs to be some updates, meetings, plans of action and also some engagement fans to try and recruit more members.
  20. Sadly I think we will be 13th by the time that happens
  21. I hope so, I hope someone has given him a few home truths such as "what actually qualifies you to be a major stakeholder in the running of a football club, other than having played for them briefly?"
  22. I think we'll win this one 3-0. We've absolutely tanked the season in the last four games with four awful performances, making sure we can't get into the playoffs. Now that there's no pressure, we'll probably put in a performance from nowhere. Disgruntlement in the stands will subside for a few days and the club will churn out tons of stuff on social media to smooth over VI's start of 1 win in 4 and then we'll throw in another horror show the game after. Would be typical. Can't wait!
  23. Has anyone seen or heard Ismael's post match? Able to share a link or just the gist of it? Just got home from Stoke so haven't heard it myself
  24. In the grand scheme of things, we didn't trouble them, he made a great stop at the end, but he and the other 10 Stoke players watched us pass it round the back and sideways for most of the 99 minutes. He won't have even needed a shower at full-time, none of their defenders will have.
