v Swansea City (a) - 20/1/26
OnionBalaji replied to simongarnerisgod's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Swansea win, we get one shot on target. Valerian makes more excuses and speaks of the owners ambition and injuries and results don’t matter, running hard for 90 minutes does. He stays in the job and we get linked to a nobody player we’re signing gambling peanuts on from the Betclic 2 Liga and it’s being drummed up as an ambitious exciting potential signing who we’ve been chasing from LSK Lodz since last summer. -
Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas

It’s great having Billionaire Owners - but when they’re hampered by court cases of their own negligent makings & refuse to use their money when we have leeway on FFP to take progressive strides forward what is the point? Our squad is tinpot our pitch is tinpot our ground is grubby our manager is tinpot our board are tinpot where have these billionaires added value above the absolute minimum required? -
Valérien Ismaël: Former Head Coach

If the owners were ambitious we’d never have hired Ismael. His record speaks for itself. Get him and Rudy out of here now! The enthusiasm and passion of the fans is definitely depleted, and seeing socials reaction patience too -

If/when we get beat today surely that has to be serious pressure on VI even at this circus club - another defeat and it really is quite the record for big V -

150th Anniversary kit/celebrations
OnionBalaji replied to Proudtobeblue&white's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Watching today & wondering with the anniversary kit, is the badge the plasticy ironed on style badge for the cross? If so feels a very cheap kop out & small detail (but one which makes a difference, and sums up the club) - for £80 or £200 in a box would at least expect something sewn on & some craftsmanship to it rather than a badly placed Maltese cross on a white plain grandad shirt - must have cost pennies to make too -

Also going to stick up for Miller here, albeit limited he was one player who at least gave it effort and looked like he wanted to be there today. Baradji I do like and think once he gets upto speed will be brilliant but will be sold rapidly and replaced with dross. -

a woman’s team that is no longer and a player being forced out the door due to attitude - can see him being a handful, but also can imagine excuses being made ready for val and Rudy for getting rid of a striker rather than playing a square peg -

Get this clown gone spend some money urgently how we have so many hamstrings seemingly go is incredible.. It’s clear they’re freezing Gueye out but surely he offers more than Henrikson and another option leaving changes til 80th minute to bring Dlamini on not good enough when chasing a game AT HOME -

150th Anniversary kit/celebrations
OnionBalaji replied to Proudtobeblue&white's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
The 150th could have been such a great season of celebration, brilliant items that could be sold in the Roverstore & a slam dunk for the commercial department. I went into the shop on Dec 23rd (the only Monday it was open all year - another commercial faux pas) and was astounded how poor most of the non kit items are. A lot of pound shop style tat items with Rovers badges slapped on and a hefty mark up. It all feels a bit shit and a bit half arsed and sums up the club and this 151st anniversary to a tee. Grubby, late to the party, half arsed, no thought or strategy and sure as shit no pride -

Foreshaw contract renewal panning out also as expected - don’t think he will be seeing many minutes at all this season -

Incredibly grateful that we got a much needed 3 points and a win, but I hope it doesn’t give Val much of a stay of execution. Of all the managers we’ve had in recent history I’ve not wanted a manager gone as much since Kean. I think other managers might have got a tune out of Gueye - for Eustace he was useful and his size and strength was handy. Not sure what has gone on there between them. His public criticism of players and the ways he holds himself in interviews reeks of arrogance. It’s hard to get behind him the same as previous managers and do think his record is abysmal and do believe he will take us down to L1 if we are stuck with him -

Credit where it’s due Montgomery was a positive surprise when he came on, Miller was pretty solid. Unusually poor from Tronstad in patches we are still wide open at the back looks like we’re stuck with Ismael and he’s got some reprieve -

Big game, a win is a must. I think it will be a mauling though by a team who have proven quality in their ranks, depth on their bench. expecting an absolute hammering and hoping and praying for at least a point hoping to see some ambition with the team set up and us to go for it from the off - will be disappointed if we set up negatively and sit back at home
