[Archived] Cardiff Replay Ticket Prices - ?24 !
mhead replied to laughatthedingles's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Will the mods allow us to start an "I'm going " thread to dispel the gloom on this one.Theno is right ...£19 goes to the football club we want to do well. Also £10 (the figure you might pay) from £19 means 5 less pints or one less taxi fare or shopping at Aldi rather than Tesco. If "Roversismylife" you have to calculate these sacrifices. -

How can the Rovers win? You dont turn up when the prices are much lower eg Bournemouth,Team B/C matches, and you also want the Rovers to do well in the Cup for a change. Everton would never have a thread like this on their site..they would go out of devotion. And then we have members with names like "Roversismylife" saying they are not going to go.Am I missing the irony. Cup prices are not fixed by the Home Club. -
3rd bid for savage about Tuesday of next week I think.Keep in touch with him daily at home and let unethical Brum stew. Whatever happens if you want to keep Bazza at the Club you fans of him need to stiffen the boards resolve not to accept £4m to £5m from anyone. Still think we'll see Savvo at Pompey. At least he is a bit of a character, profile for the club and may help to get more fans in(which is still the root of all our problems) Keep your nerve Rovers!!
-
N Weaver ..now you're cooking. But I warn you this thread is not known for its subtlety. In football poker the player still holds the cards..Savage will be at Portsmouth.
-
According to Tribal Football we might be accepting only £5m for Barry ferguson so we need a holding midfielder badly. And its the time fom Brockhall to Cheshire thats the vital issue cos the M6 thru Staffs is the 2nd worst jam in UK.So he's using this as an excuse to get a last payday. We get 3 years"loyal" service and a will to win attitude.
-
Savage story should reach a new twist after he's spoken to Sullivan and Gold today. Savage in the team allows ferguson to play higher up pitch,is an insurance policy just in case we get a £6m+ bid for Ferguson, which the Board would accept, and ensures that our fighting spirit approach to the season continues. This still means that our main post-Dunn/Duff problem of quality play on the ball continues until some of our youngsters(Johnson,Peter,Donnelly etc) can be bloodied. We can no longer afford to buy quality cos we do not have the £4m+ that buys the finished article.

Wire up the posts and crossbar, let a World War 2 siren sound and the whole of the goal should flash with colour lights for the team that has scored. Then Sir Alex at the Theatre of Dreams(self-named) would just about believe it.

Old wives saying : "The closer you get to the Rovers the more your love affair will cool" 194 got so close that even Cummings was starting to appreciate him.

BluePhil, you need to examine your thought processes and any notion you have of History. Firstly, were not the products of your childhood not largely made in the British ex-colonies? and Secondly it is reducing the inequalities that persuades people to stay in their own countries. You have all the words of a mean-spirited,true Blue Tory. But being a fellow-supporter I love you still.

Flopsy...on the mark and for those who object to him really shouting consider the real significance. This disaster is already the Worlds 16th highest loss of life in a single earthquake since the year 856. In 1201 1.1m people lost their life in Egypt and Syria and that was the worst tragedy.Krakatoa in Java that we've all heard of was responsible for just over 100,000 lives. Puts everything in perspective for the "Blue" contributors and why the G8 nations need to do as much as they can.The Blair Government has an exemplary record on Internationai aid with DFID in the Uk regarded as the world leader(not forgetting USAID).We have given £50m now plus at least another £50m from the people by next week. So give generously..its just been Christmas...and its the true meaning of a christian attitude. This post means no political or religious harm to anyone.

The key difference of a Coach and Manager is when you cannot buy players. So Hughes and the new brigade have done brilliantly on fitness, style, passing and performance. And Souness and "Dads Army" how have they performed? The case for Hughesy rests.Well done..we might have been down like a Woy or Kiddo by now..and the recriminations would have started. We look on just as interested bystanders at what happens to the Toon.

Seems to have spent £35 on bets, fuel and reduced life expectancy. In addition extra PC time rationalising his actions. Fine should be at least £20 to Tsunami Disaster Appeal so that he can get everything into perspective.

Recent Thenodrug post as "eugenics" post for 2004.Just gone back to the records and Ciccio's middle name is andretti! In all the Barry threads the key thing not mentioned is the Board's reluctance NOT to snatch off the hand bearing a few millions. Not sure they can be trusted whilst attendances and general Rovers interest has drooped.

Yesterday I was defending Paul Dickov against the doubters! How can you be doubters at £150k or 70 times less Grabbi and pudding Davies. Bolton away...Spit in a minute,he's gonna spit in a minute. PRICELESS!!!

No mention of Lucas Neill...my man of the match. The thread has too much complaining re Dickov. Not only is he an absolute steal for £150k but with our lack of money we'll not find a good enough striker to replace him.For a double-whammy I'd go for Robbie Blake. Also buy Savage to push ferguson higher up the pitch. Back to the match. How similar the last 10mins v Everton and the bar-codes.Wanting to keep the point but not quite convinced with our attacking style .Thommo the headless chicken still a threat and a risk at the same time. and on to the " breezeblock". Wrap up well. -
Parking near Ewood...it was the residents that complained and the Council had to act with residents only parking.Go to London for the eventual outcome of this,at Ewood the only places to park are at least a mile away now. More reasons why Uncle Jack should have bought more residents out of their homes! We need reverse Park'N Ride for the home matches or re-introduce the Town Centre buses or the Darwe-Blackburn tram. Now what was this thread about?

Whilst I think demos and booing against Souness are probably counter-productive, there came a point in 2002/3 season with Dunn being misunderstood and Berg coming out and saying there were 10 players that the Manager had fallen out with, that got most of us doubting. And the low crowd of 25,000 incl. 8000 Evertonians and only 20,000 of us left(max) stems out of the unrest and dismantling. So we have won 6 out of 35 home matches(guess) and the support is disillusioned -- whatever Souness did we are left with the wreckage and Hughesy has to stick it all together. The conclusion is I probably will boo Sourness and his Dads Army and cheer Big Al when he comes on as a sub when they are losing 1-0.At least the barcodes paid us to transfer all the hasbeens up to Newcastle.

Back to the question: it was Kenny who said- "if you dinna score you dinna win" ...approximately.And since the current trend is for only ONE striker and more in midfield we need an attacking midfielder.

Almost happy with the result.Hasta's contribution was spot on.....this season is going to be a struggle.Any team needs quality up front and in midfield to get the wins.We aint really got it. Need to play 4 : 5 :1 like Spurs did and make sure midfield wins its battle. And we need players to make lung-busting runs to get from box to box.So Reid is needed,Ferguson playing more forward and we probably need to buy a hold-up centre forward and Jason Koumas(3 years late). Also a £million for Robbie Blake(3years late) would also sabotage the enemy! KEEP THE FAITH. -

With the drum its like a german tennis match but without the drum you'd just sing anti-Burnley songs. It brings atmosphere.Put the drummer on the Riverside. -
Just voted for a WORLD CLASS player and we saw his progress from the Youth team.Sorry Jason its not you!

Having seen Ali Macleoud to zero person now(Emerton is a right winger) the one that stands out as being worth a season ticket alone is our Damien...one of the 3 gems and the best of them. In order of skill and sheer excitement they would rank(in my humble opinion) Duff Sellars Wilcox(because of Shearer) Brotheston Ali Mac Harrison To me Shearer,Duff and Friedel have been the only 'best in the world' whilst playing for us...though clearly Bob Crompton was and I personally think that Mike England was in 1965. Aren't we lucky and unlike the Mancs more likely to be grateful.
-
What is depressing is the difference that 2/3 years can make. The 3 gems......Duff,Dunn and jansen were committed, dribblers, entertaining and worth the price of a season ticket for just ONE of them and Duff was the best. Dunn and Jansen were the next selections for England. A bloody motor-bike in Rome and(according to Berg) Souey falling out with 8 to 10 players including Dunn(and eventuallyCole) brought the whole edifice down. When Jansen scores and seeing Dunn back on his pitch reminds us all of the hope...and how Souey sabotaged it all with Victorian man-management and 3 yes-men.

Any reaction from Tim Sherwood? Beaten by a stiff. Bitter Latheron supporter..1 more vote than Super-Atko.

Den. This is exciting and distracting.47-46 at 12.30pm...what will it be at 2pm? And then you think only 22% of our Sept 5th high of 636 users have voted and only 4% of our(supposed) 3045 registered members have voted. As a Latheron voter I say VOTE EARLY VOTE OFTEN VOTE FORREST.
