  1. Not been taking part in this thread so far BUT agree with Berkshireblue. Its two weeks tomorrow so ticket sales will rocket cos Supply and Demand aint working.Tickets in all areas left apart from the £25/£35. Just you see....and although I'm going to ManU tomorrow I'm ALREADY more excited about the Semi than the annual fix at OT. Change the thread to the CRACK OF THE CUP!!
  2. As Ozziejones says the tone of all these comments(particularly from the Armchairs) would have been different when reid (should) have scored and if emo had scored. That's life and the Premiership for you.Lets all now concentrate on ALL buying our Semi-Final tickets. Keep the Faith.
  3. Hope one of the discussion topics is a whipround to send one of you to the Semi-Final,the final or any match.
  4. Nelson had a poorer match at liverpool!! Clearly you weren't one of the 700 who witnessed Todd,Mokoena and Nelson. Collossus (of Auckland).
  5. 45 years is too long a wait to be grumpy about the time and to some extent the ticket prices are reasonable.A chance for extra fans to get more locked in to the Club. AND after all we will only get 20,000 Cup Final tickets.Less 13000 season ticket holders and Comps for sponsors etc. there will be no more than 5000 tickets for regular non-s/t attenders. SO this is your big chance.WE SHALL NOT BE MOVED......
  6. First time for 45 years....the extra bit of effort is required. Think how much money you'll save on Friday evening! To play Norwich in the Cup away in 1965 the Coach left Foundry Hill at 11pm the previous night, and those that went still remember it.
  7. Must be more than 300...I've got 5 for tonight. I thought success was meant to make you keener!
  8. PSSST soft Bazza... WE'RE IN THE SEMI-FINAL and play Arsenal(twice),man U,Liverpool in the next few weeks. And you've got Motherwell(again)
  9. And 2 short weeks ago we were still at the 5th round stage and too close to the drop zone. Now we are on our way to an extra £5m from Cup receipts and position in the Premiership. The FA Cup semi-finalists have won the Cup over 30 times between them and we have an outside chance of becoming the first club to win the FA Cup in THREE separate Centuries. Now let me see .."is the gap closing?"
  10. A great draw ...Arsenal not on good form and the only tie that should be logically at The Millennium.
  11. one hundred and fifty minutes to go. PMT starts to strike!
  12. The win at Everton was perfect pre-Cup. I feel a steely resolve and we now need to pick the right team with Stead up front as well. Hughesy only player to win Cup 4 times in the 20th Century.....and presumably James Southworth plus at least one other rover in 19th Century. That's a cup tradition that made Uncle Jack want to do well. 1 -0 or 2-0 rovers.
  13. Please purchase tickets for Sunday's big match and we will put dummies in the seats. At least they won't leave early.
  14. This season with all your support WE can get to a Cup Semi-Final for the first time since I was a nipper. And Johnny Stead can take us there.Plus Aaron(a man a match) Mokoena can cement our mobile midfield to our solid defence. Who you gonna nobble next week,Aaron.? DON'T MISS IT!
  15. MGP .... all the doubters should be kicked off the board! Famous for ever more and I mean EVER. Just as famous as the legend that is Boxing Day and 3 -2. Whatever happens now he will always be remembered. A goal to win ANY match at ANY time. And he chose the Dingles at home in the Cup - a few minutes from the final whistle. A new Duffer - now play him at centrer-forward like we did with Duffer.
  16. There's 2 full days left...but the BRFC promotion machine is silent. This is a great chance to boost the gate for the rest of the Season and then S/T sales for 2005/6. Also why are we worried about infiltration. We will be well up to push the team to victory and any Dingles will be outnumbered 50 to 1. They will just want to run on the pitch and have their day in the sun(despite it being an evening match) The Rovers fans will be roaring from 7.15 so get there early and don't stay at the bars. 2-0 with Johannsen and MGP scoring.I think we should play Short.
  17. This is the best thread EVER. Passion, Venom,Rational argument,Customer care theory and Practice. And still I'm up for it ....but just a second where's my 7s 6d Postal Order from April 1960?
  18. Latest Sales figures Mr.Grooby. I know you're in there somewhere.
  19. Lets stop worrying, the time to sell tickets is only 55% thru. Too many people are looking at this statistically!
  20. Maybe 5000 left...we're doing fine. That's 18,000 sold -don't be so gloomy. All we need is more P.R. from Club to encourage anyone put off by Tuesday/Wednesday. Let's hope there's a repeat next week with Leicester tickets!
  21. PLEASE on Friday can somebody tell us how many have been sold. 5,000 per day = 15,000 plus lesser nos on Friday,Sat,Sun and monday. Even at 2,000 per day it should be 23,000 plus 7,000 knuckle-draggers by last thing Monday. Put us out of our exstacy that the stay-aways might have found their way back.
  22. Now that's sorted can we not have a: TICKETS LEFT: 4959 ticker Surely Mr. Grooby could help, its public information.
  23. Well done Den! It was worth it. Thanks for Forrest,Southworth and Latheron- showing that we have to pass the history of the Rovers down thru the generations.Next year is the 130 th year and I still have my Centenary beer mug. It was ironic that we speak of Parkes,Garner,Duggie/Ronnie and Sir Bob Crompton in hallowed tones just as we had the incident of "Soft Bazza" slinking off -the least revered Captain in Rovers history. More people will remember Jimmy Kerr from the early 70s who played about 8 scintillating games and then was badly injured than ever will remember Barry Ferguson. Thanks for the journey.
