  1. Maybe they should use what they used before undersoil heating in rugby "attempts to protect the playing surface consisted of tent-like canopies with tall paraffin heaters within, being pitched over the playing area - supplemented by tons of straw!" The reason for stopping this practice was the manpower required, it would however provide an avenue for the club to get the most out of Flitty, Gresko, Jansen and Amo. I can see it now "Team Undersoil Filler Guys"
  2. Do Burnley yokels have two heads and make love to their sister/aunt/mother/grandma even if they are all the same person Then yes
  3. Luxury, at least you guys had the opportunity to travel a 1000 miles for the game to be postponed We can't even get a the game on television over here, and when we do we travel from Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Darwin to share one black and white TV screen at the Inbred Inn in Hobart.
  4. I love that pubs in England brew their own beer We rarley get that here in OZ, and when we do it is more like a tourist destination.
  5. I'm still searching wide and far for Watney's Red Barrel A Site For All Beer Lovers
  6. I wouldn't be thinking so far as the semi's already, you guys have to get through the group stage. Paraguay and Sweden are no pushovers. Rovermatt, you left out the French and the Germans, and I wouldn't be surprised to see the Ukraine pulling some upsets. England struggled against some very weak opposition in the qualifiers and all of a sudden they are being rated finalists?
  7. Horrible decision, but when we had a full compliment on the park should've done more. How we can compete with the top teams on a regular basis then fall to an absolute @#/? Everton team is beyond me. Rovers are going to get my vote for most frustrating team to watch this year.
  8. Aughra: Ya look like Gelfling... [sniffs] Aughra: SMELL like Gelfling... [sniffs] Aughra: maybe y'ARE Gelfling!
  9. Good post Bob I know this isn't exactly related to standing but one for our crazy litigist (sp?) society and therefore relating to the club finances. I am in commercial property, and we had a bloke while messaging on his mobile phone, walk to the right hand side of an automatic exit, with massive double glass doors, emergency exit signage above and a mat which leads from the lift to the doorway and into a nine foot high 5 foot wide glass panel (high rise design) with glass frosting design. Idiot you think? We have just been named as a party in the action for compensation of $500,000. Now taking this into this threads theme, here is our club struggling to get enough funds to get a decent transfer and all of a sudden we are being sued for a million pound because someone was "pushed over" while standing. I've never been pushed over while sitting
  10. I think 4 wins isn't too much to ask Chelsea are due for a slip up Arsenal have died in the ass since Viera has left City and Charlton are inflated because of the rest of the under perfomers in the league 12 points and 3rd place in just over a month
  11. Ah Liam Miller, he has been forgotten hasn't he I remember when he was the next big thing for Celtic and he brushed them to play for United. Has he played a senior game for them yet?
  12. Blatter is a clown, when Man U and Arsenal were cleaning up he sat quiet, while all of a sudden he is jumping Chelsea's throat is beyond me. Milan has been buying Serie A titles for twenty years, Madrid ten, now Chelsea two. If anything Chelsea domination appears to have dented Arsenal and Man U. The league looks a lot tighter this year. I am crossing my fingers and toes for Arse and Pool to finish outside the top four
  13. Who can't appear to put a ball in the back of net He would be a world class sweeper
  14. Unfortunately the English midfeilders thought the same thing
  15. I thought that we only had about a 100 years of measured weather stats anyway? How can either side be confident with 100 years of data of a planet 100 billion years old?
  16. Yorke is carving up for Sydney FC, I think he has scored in every game so far
  17. It is a shame that when teams go all out attack and score a goal against us they are assured of a result We have nothing to counter attack with and are finding it increasingly hard to hit the back of the net even when the chances arrive Why I bother getting so worked up and excited every year is beyond me
  18. I'm here, check my posts I have already congratulated the poms many of times but if you want to hear it again, congratulations on your momentous occasion No doubt knighthoods for everyone
  19. Of course they were, I think I have already stated that England were the better team throughout the series but to say that England outeverythinged Australia is crap
  20. To be honest I think Australia was a better side then a 2-1 loss You guys thoroughly deserved your win but to say that the Australian team was playing at their peak is loose thinking at best The series could have just as easily been turned around if a catch had been taken, a decision given or the friggin coin landed on heads. But that is cricket, England took the advantage when it presented itself and they won.
  21. Well done England Looking forward to the next series in great anticipation Thanks to the guys that got into a decent banter with me, glad too see I got under your skin I say it isn't the worst Australian touring team ever but possibly the best England team
  22. Jeezaloo, I even get a bagging for praising your momentous occasion. I said well done England, they have taken advantage of everything that has come their way through the series. I never said I was the first to admit it, I have admitted (which I refused to do previously) that they are a good team on their own soil against an out of form Australian team. Scotty, they are over. The numpty comment needs to shoot straight back at you if you think otherwise.
