  1. Bas Rutten at the start of this vid - NUTTER! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYmfmwUc3p8
  2. If people voted for their feet, things would change because they'd be no money to be made out of it. I'm quite happy to eat only a small amount of meat. I think people don't want to know how their burger came to be on their plate, or how they were able to buy their Christmas turkey so cheaply. Maybe the meat fairy plucked it off the meat tree for them. i don't know what people are thinking about animal welfare or food quality when they're tucking into their 99p burger.
  3. Can't really take issue with any of that. I think there's a big problem with people not caring how the meat gets to their table, they're quite happy not to give it a second thought. Which is probably also why people are happy enough to chuck food away, they've not been in a situation where food has been at a premium. Also, if people knew the provenance of the burgers and hot dogs they were eating at McDonald's/ the cinema etc they'd probably puke it up on the spot. Alternatively, if people were told they could eat as much meat as they liked, but they had to slaughter their own animals, then you'd probably see rates of vegitarianism soaring. As far as I'm aware, the human body was only designed to eat a modicum of meat, so I think we should all be eating less anyway. If we all regarded meat as a treat, rather than a disposable product that's 2-a-penny, and concentrated on a healthy diet then half of these problems would disappear. Dare I say it, the NHS would probably be grateful as well? And I think I read somewhere that the optimum population of the UK was 30 million.
  4. Just watched Long Good Friday. God, do I hate that ending?! Very good film, not that crime films are my thing.
  5. I know, it's such a surreal, pathetic way to go. It's not sinking in.
  6. Just feel totally numb, what a surreal, needless and pitiful way for a man to lose his life. I feel very sorry for his family, and also for law-abiding, decent fans who had this happen right before their own eyes.
  7. Would it be to do with having a hitherto-undetected weak heart?
  8. He's not dead yet Dan, well according to reports. Let's hope this guy makes it.
  9. I understand your anger, he's treated rovers with zero respect, when he's been here for a number of years, drawing a no-doubt significant wage, whilst performaing fitfully, and noit always being fully fit! However, I have to ask, am i the only person who couldn't care less? It's water off a duck's back, totally in accordance with the attitude of today's players who are just paid far too much for their endeavours. We move on.
  10. It's so frustrating to see someone not make the most of their talent. When some people have to bust their balls just to get by, and this guy abuses his privileges, puts on weight when he's paid to be fit, plays well and puts in an effort when it suits him and for all of this he's paid a king's ransom (and that's before bonuses), then something is very very wrong. He might have a fortune in the bank, but he's very poor in spirit.
  11. Remi Gaillard, he is a proper loony:
  12. It clearly cuts both ways, sometimes we benefit from it, sometimes we lose. Regardless of whether we win or lose by it, it's out-of-order behaviour. As it stands, it probably evens itself out. Doesn't mean I can't judge him.
  13. So proud in fact that he's drawing a mammoth wage whilst allowing himself to get out of shape, and now he's gone on strike so he can get his own way and move clubs. Yeah, sounds like pride to me. More like a selfish spanked ar5e.

  15. One of my fave ever films is on telly now. Day of the Jackal. Beautifully shot, and a great story. I'll never get tired of watching it.
  16. Ever seen Keith Andrews do this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwXIXSI7Ze8
  17. One of Jackie Chan's stunt co-ordinator's head-hunted him. From being on youtube to being in teh movies. How about that, eh?
  18. Not sure if I've posted this before, this guy is unreal: http://www.mensfitness.co.uk/exercisevideos/sport_action/2977/worlds_best_tumbling_video.html
  19. I can barely contain my excitement. Although we must give Beattie 6 months to bed in properly.
  20. So ... benni McCarthy out, james Beattie in?
  21. We've all heard the stories about him getting sh*t-faced, but I thought it subsequently came out that it's something to do with his skeleton that means he keeps getting injured? Haviong said that, I do remember him being quite portly, but he looked in awesome shape earlier this season. as least he's not injured as often as that Grella fella.
  22. Was always a big fan of Short. I've long since forgiven him for turning us down in favour of Derby.
