  1. Are Nonda and Big Bad Brad going to be fit, does anyone know?
  2. You can fast track 'em and it only takes a fortnight or something. It's expensive, though.
  3. And when. One of these away days may be my stag do, if it looks good :-)
  4. Who says he's not? I'd suspect that his solicitors are looking at this right now.
  5. Great night. Big Col had a good game for them and showed his backside to the Rovers fans for one last time!
  6. Hey, no fair. They didn't follow the minimum eight beer bellies rule and completely flaunted the only under 12's and over 40's rules. It's good to see that we stuck to the rules, though...
  7. Sheff U will be dirty and the ref will let them get away with murder, as usual. Hopefully we'll be able to show better quality and the guts for a fight. 3 points is a must. If it takes a crappy goal in a dour game then so be it.
  8. I don't know...all the freaks come out at night...
  9. Not condoning Gray's actions (if true) but there was only one criminal offence committed, by the sounds of it. Again not defending Gray as you don't say such things in the presence of a lady.
  10. Looking at the first three games I thought that 4 points would be a reasonable haul. We'll still get 4 points out of the three games, but by the most unlilely route possible. We all know Rovers. Get beat by Portsmouth, flukey draw with Everton and then beat Chelsea.
  11. Someone did, yes. A Derby player? Was there a picture in the national press with Simes holding his hand up with all fives fingers splayed and he was beaming away? Or was that the Derby bloke? Or was it 5 goals Simes scored against Derby? Bloody memory. Grrr! I wsa only about 8, though...
  12. I can't remember if someone else mentioned this one here. There was an autobiography or a newspaper article recently where a ref stated that the decisions go the 'big clubs' way because refs are scared of losing the oppurtunity to ref the 'big teams' again. Isn't this just another example of the 'Moggi method' but over here? Shouldn't that be investigated? After some of the diabolical reffing decisions we have all seen (including RFW deciding how many additional minutes to play against us [still can't believe that there wasn't uproar about this]) surely there is a link here. I suppose that the key is getting a concrete causal link, but that's what investigations are for (to undertake searches to ascertain whether there is one)?
  13. What type of attacker is he? Goal getter? Pacey dribbler? Back to goal target man? A bit of everything?
  14. Pokar seems a bit long in the tooth to me...
  15. Playing players out of position isn't always a good idea. Invariably it's the defensive side of the game that catches them out, but players can also be incredibly ineffective overall when they are swapped around like this. Souness used to do it a lot, invariably to the detriment of the Rovers play. We've got this fabulous left midfielder. A rare diamond indeed. Let's play him on the right... (Not that I'm saying that I don't want Peter to feature. Let's bring him in at his proper position, slowly at first, before slinging him all over the park)
  16. I visited Palo Alto and Stanford a year or two ago when Mrs. Danlad was doing some research. What a fabulous place! Made me think of emigrating!* * Only possible due to Mrs. Danlad's smarts!
  17. Try here... http://www.accringtonstanley.co.uk/ It says... Please note there will be no cash taken on the evening of the match. You must have a ticket to gain entry to the ground, although these will be on sale from the Stanley Store on the day of the match up until kick off.
  18. Care to comment upon Jurgen Klinsmann's departure as Germany coach? (in German, please, if I follow your logic)
  19. That looks pretty good. My favourite away kit was the red and black stripes of equal width. Classic IMO. I thought the yellow strip was awful. Sorry! We were always gargabe when we played in it too. I now have a superstition that crap away kits get you relegated...or was that the crap orange one. Crap nonetheless. FWIW I think the home kit and away kit should mirror each other. The badge should always be over the heart. Don't confuse the poor players when it comes to badge kissing. Remember Gally kissing the sponsors logo (Kappa?) Having mentioned my fiance earlier I'd point out that she finds it most amusing that blokes who generally pay little or no attention to clothes or fashion instantly get interested when it's a footy kit. Strange but true! With a due sense of trepidation and dread...what should I call her?
  20. I'm clueless re washing, but I'm reliably informed that you must have used too high a temperature. My mum always used to make my shirts peel, but my fiance has them looking great and it's her advice. (PS Thanks to mums and fiances everywhere for washing etc. Genuinely very much appreciated)
  21. What time is the decision out? It is today, isn't it?
  22. Ah, but if you put football people in charge the business element would just become a shambles amd a laughing stock that haemorrages money... ...wait a minute... ...that's what it is like now. What are these jokers actually supposed to be _good_ at?* *Besides growing moustaches that are, quite frankly, ludicrous.
  23. You won't have seen the LET billboard that emblazoned the interview inside where Roberts talked of his 'dream' move to Blackburn!
