  3. Not all sports are equal - do they play tennis in the rain ?
  4. It’s not that simple. Try bowling with a wet ball.
  5. Bruce Springsteen - Thunder Road
  6. Another one in a line of underwhelming left wingers we signed at the time. We paid good money for him as well.
  7. I watched it on channel 4. Pubs had it running constantly as the series progreeed.
  8. I haven’t seen the incident in question but I have seen plenty of cards this season for incidents that wouldn’t get a card in the past. Both codes are rightly concerned about the effects of head injuries.
  9. The Association - Never My Love
  10. We had Ashes fever in 2005. Even people who weren’t previously interested in cricket got involved. Interest was at an all time high in my experience. Than the powers that be sold cricket to SKY.
  11. That’s how I saw it. He was barged before the ball arrived.
  12. Huey “ Piano “ Smith - Rockin’ Pneumonia And The Boogie Woogie Flu
  13. The guy was a magician with the ball at his feet. He made beating opposing players look like the easiest thing in the world.
  14. When in came on in that debacle at Rotherham last season he was the only one who looked like he wanted to be out there.
  15. Dozens of England caps when that meant something, but more importantly the hearts of Blackburn Rovers fans the world over.
  16. How about - “ Buddy Can You Spare A Dime “ ?
  17. The Merseybeats - I Think Of You
  18. We got stitched up one way or another every time we played them in that era. Way too many times for it to be co-incidental.
  19. Yeah I know, it’s bordering on cruelty. At the moment all he’s known is the current shite. At least I got to see us win things along with Ronnie, Dougie, Shearer etc.
  20. We all are. I’ve recently got my grandson interested in Rovers. I need to maintain his interest, take him to games etc. His dad is already a fan but can’t make it to games apart from the odd match. If it wasn’t for my grandson I’d be walking away and I first walked onto Ewood in 1961. I don’t need this level of fuckedupness in my life . Being a pensioner is tough enough.
  21. On another topic ex - Rover Jack O’Connell has had to retire with knee problems.
