Something needs to change. We’re back to leaking goals again. -

It’s a massively different game. In the U-21’s game Barrett in goal had more touches than any outfield player. He had probably ten times more touches than the wingers. We were just knocking it around the back four and the keeper for way too long. You could see the Dale players streaming back to get into position whilst we fannyed around with the ball. Then they’d play it forward to a midfield player invariably running back towards our goal who would be unable to turn with the ball because they were all marked up by then. So they would either play it back again to the centre halves/keeper or square to the full backs. It was awful to watch and completely ineffectual. Pep has a lot to answer for. -

The only reason to have 7 at the back is to get clean sheets. We have 7 at the back and we’re still conceding every game. Something has to change. As we all know “goals change games”, but you need to score first to change games -

Watching the U-21’s last night was the same, not enough players forward. Somebody eventuality gets a cross in and if it misses the one player forward that’s it. -

He went back home after that 3 match suspension and his twin brother came back in his place. That’s my theory anyway. -

Watching the U-21’s last night was the same. We wouldn’t have scored a goal from open play if we’d have played whilst midnight. -

Nah, I don’t fancy that line up one bit. How Hedges gets in every game is a mystery to me. I can’t see Litherland getting on, he played the full game last night. Tyjon played an hour also. -

Yes, he came off after an hour. He’s not ready yet in my opinion. -

10/10 Exactly what I thought. It was noticeable that their first team manager was right on the touchline encouraging his team throughout the game. I was on that side of the stand but I never noticed our guys doing much. You’re dead right about Barrett, I don’t think I’ve ever seen him make a save that was out of the extremely basic. Regarding Tyjon, he got absolutely no service so no wonder he got disheartened. Our 3 were over run by their 4 in midfield and we never did anything much to alter that. It didn’t matter but I was right in line for their 4th goal. Their guy was yards off side. Not feet, yards. It just looked like we were just fulfilling a promise for a pre-season friendly. One team wanted it, and one didn’t. -

Dead right, they played like they didn’t want to be there. We were out enthused all over the pitch. Too many gift goals, too slow to get the ball forward. I was really disappointed. One way traffic in the second half, 4-1 flattered us. Going off that showing not one of those players can be knocking on the managers door and be asking why they aren’t under consideration for a first team slot. If I were some of them I’d be looking around for a real job. Pro football isn’t for them.I don’t know who’s coaching them but the Dale had a 2 on 1 down our left side all the second half and nobody did a thing to rectify it. . -

We aren’t making enough chances. We weren’t last season either but then we had Sammi to put the odd chance away. -

Anybody else going to the Rochdale v Rovers U-21’s tomorrow ? It’s pay on the gate according to the Dale site. I’m going with my grandson. It’s £2 for adults and £1 for kids and dinosaurs like me. -

I’ve been thinking along those lines. The current set up isn’t working. I’ve also been concerned about have two water carriers in central midfield, especially in home games, for a while. What did we sign the lad from Stoke for ? I thought he was a more attacking midfield player ? -

I’ve never understood what whoever signed Hedges actually thought we would be getting. A deeply average player as far as I can see. -

Your thought about Cantwell crossed my mind yesterday. He’s been increasingly influential as a player yet at the same time our performances have tanked ! Is there a connection ? -

I remember the bloke who wanted to sue the ref for awarding in the penalty. They had him on the TV news. He’d never be out of court today. -
