  1. Really tough game this, I think some people are underestimating Stoke a bit. Whilst we're considered to be in form, they've only collected 2 points less than us in the last 8 games. That includes wins against West Brom, Cardiff and Swansea too. I don't wish to sound negative but its similar to the Wigan/Brum games when people were talking about the Brum game as if we'd already turned Wigan over (like some are with Swansea now). I'd like to think we've learnt from but I think we're in for a nervy old night.
  2. Yep bburn end or the bburn end enclosure we used to frequent. Yet somehow ended up with a garage full of old wood seats from the Nuttall street till my mum kicked off and they ended up going the tip ?
  3. It's quite ridiculous that safe standing isn't commonplace now in the UK. The riverside would be perfect for it and I dare say the novelty factor would add some numbers on the crowds too. My dad would be pissed off like as he's had the same seat for years in there but he can go in the JW the old crow.
  4. He was good at Wigan so not sure where you get the pulling up trees comment from, they kept more clean sheets than us anyway!
  5. It's so wide open. Yeah I get the thing about closing games out completely, against a team as good as Brentford though it's not AS bad. They're a cracking team. For this team to be in the mix still though given out injuries etc is remarkable. Dack is our best player, no questions. How many others can lose their main man and still be up there?
  6. Excellent piece by Rich Sharpe again in the Telegraph which sums up my thoughts exactly. It was disappointing to lose a 2 goal lead but it felt 'different' this time and we can still dare to dream.
  7. His price must be going up and up by the week, this guy is the real deal.
  8. Doesn't mean they get it right every time though does it? For years they've messed up with Real Sociedad vs Barcelona. Anyone who follows Spanish football will know about their H2H record yet they will always price Barca at 1/5. Most mug punters piss their money away backing all the favourites in silly accumulators lining their pockets.
  9. Bookies don't fancy us at all we're 5/1 for the win. That's crazy odds to say they're only 5 points above us, we've already beat them this season and we're the form team around...
  10. I'd like to refer to it as a must not lose but really nice to win game ? Either way I can't see me getting much sleep tonight!
  11. Regarding Samuel, players with pace are disruptive and a bloody nuisance even if they aren't amazing, he will worry defences and is also somewhat on an unknown to most managers out there. He's done enough to keep his place and I'll be a bit miffed if he doesn't.
  12. I'd rather just scrap the FA cup and extend the season tbh so every game is at the weekend! Never gonna happen like but I can live in hope.
  13. Not sure exactly how it would work logistically but a weekend season ticket would suit me and many others I know. I simply can't make many mid week games because of work and family commitments. It's not an excuse it's a fact. That's circa 8 games potentially missed by the end of the season I think. I have still made a few but after a mad rush! What use is a season ticket to people like this now that we know we can get a match ticket for any game we fancy without issue.
  14. Not sure Leeds have the players to rotate either, their biggest issue is they don't seem to have a plan B.
  15. I feel as though we're a lot better equipped this season defensively than last tbf, not just in terms of ability but mentally too. Of course there's been a few blips along the way like with any team, but last week as a prime example - I wasn't a nervous wreck expecting us to collapse. Last season I think we lined up with Captain Flappy Bennett Lenihan Rodwell Bell Assuming we line up the same as last week its obvious who the weak link is but I don't want to be overly critical as the lad still grafts. We know better than anyone their keepers biggest weaknesses and will hopefully look to exploit them all game. Get Downing firing them balls in. If we want to make another comparison with this fixture last time we really REALLY did need to win there we did, sadly the final outcome wasn't the one we wanted. I haven't been this nervously excited for a game for a long time.
  16. Yeah we always taxi it to Preston or Manchester. So much quicker and usually cheaper overall.
  17. Of the available options it's got to be the first for me.
  18. The tight schedules have spoilt it for me and stopped me going. It's still doable but it wouldn't be the same. Shame really as we would have had a decent following there too ?
  19. I'm leaning more towards a massive YES
  20. He seems more sprightly lately which is great to see. I still think this lad will flourish, I know, I know I'm in a minority but I'm rarely wrong when it comes to talent.
  21. Yeah I get that. I've met many players over the years though but some are full of shite and some aren't, at least seemingly, genuine, which is what Bradley seemed to be. Saturday afternoon, absolutely horrible weather and he still traps up to watch us, that to me is a great sign.
  22. True, I'm not one to be blinded by comments but he was genuine. And tbf why would he move on anyway?
  23. I'm trying to think how Tosin or adarabioyo fits into a name tbh Haha I absolutely love the guy and if anyone doesn't appreciate his talent should go and stand at the turf watching hoofball
  24. Aye true, maybe a bit of the old stage fright
  25. We haven't missed Rothwell at all, if I'm a bit harsh so be it but in my opinion he's a brfcs enigma and actually average.....
