  1. Imagine everyone's had their May pay packet now so might see a little spike early next week. Its beyond pathetic that the club are crowing on social media about passing 3k sales though like it's some amazing achievement- we're being mocked high and wide.
  2. Some ridiculous comments on here regarding academy products, none more so than this. People need to understand the difference at Rovers to playing in the youth setup at say Man Utd. Up until a certain age most parents and kids will be happy to be at Rovers developing, things change as they get older for numerous reasons and a lot depends on the individual and also quite importantly their parents. On top of the obvious factor of wages theres other things to consider. Our youth teams travel to games in minibuses with a packed lunch. Man Uniteds travel in fancy coaches and have lavish lunches provided to them. Ultimately and unsurprisingly it comes down to cost cutting, at other clubs the youngsters are treated like the real deal at a younger age, it will appeal to some (lots) of them, some however will be more humble and grounded. What will really make a difference is if the youngster is an actual Rovers fan, like of course our most recent graduate who's now really hit the big time. I don't know his parents but I see comments on then saying what a lovely, humble family they are. Hopefully Adam continues to help us as people look on and think actually yeah he was right to hang on at little Blackburn as he's cracked it now, that could be me.
  3. It's just Gallagher getting his usual stick. But as one of our highest paid players, that's employed to score goals (and for the most part doesn't), he's always going to get that. People are understandably frustrated. Ultimately we are going to need him or Leonard to have the season of their life though as it stands, I'd be amazed if we get a decent striker in. I'd have more hope of Leonard achieving it than Gallagher too, although it's still a huge ask. I'm not even including Telalovic in the equation as he's seemingly been wrote off already by 2 consecutive managers.
  4. Why do you keep saying its a problem? It's not. And yes I absolutely do, family events, birthdays, stag do's, weddings, holidays etc etc more often than not take up at least a few weekends a year. Again, I reiterate - its not a problem if you have your life mapped out months ahead focusing on nothing but football, I'd never be able to do so though.
  5. Why on earth would I have a problem with it? I just find it bizarre that someone can say without doubt they won't have other engagements on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday. There were a few Monday games as well last season come to think of it 🤔
  6. Do they really matter much to a man who can already guarantee he's going to every home game regardless?
  7. No I understand that, many people will plan holidays etc round fixtures where they can, it drives my mum mad that my dad does it. But they're all subject to change and to know that you have every Friday night, Saturday or Sunday, Tuesday or Wednesday night free from August to May is quite frankly a ridiculous statement, or you never get invited anywhere or plan weekends away etc. I don't know a single season ticket holder that didn't miss a game last season for one reason or another.
  8. You must lead a remarkably dull life then, sorry 🤣
  9. How on earth do you know you can make every single game before the fixtures are even announced? Is Rovers literally the only social activity you participate in from August to May?
  10. I noticed that, such a deceiving stat. Many die hards will have rushed to get them as they've been waiting so pissing long. Still, Swag will have been straight on the blower reporting this 'stat' back to the wankers in Pune.
  11. Might as well close the thread then, Chaddy has renewed and it was easy. Nothing else to discuss here 👍
  12. Won't happen regardless, he'll end up at a relegation rival and keep them up no doubt
  13. If we're looking at experienced freebies I'd take Jay Rod from them up the road as he's being released. He 100% offers a lot more than Gallagher and would probably accept similar/lower wages too. I know some would say eww no he's a dingle bit ultimately he'd simply offer more than we have currently
  14. The only sense in any deal for Fleck would be appearance based. A fully fit Fleck would be an asset, but if he does sign I'd be amazed if he's in a position to feature much. Of course we won't look at anything like that, we'll pay him top whack to sit in the treatment room whilst moaning we've no money to cover wages of potential new signings.
  15. The survey is quite good in fairness, but it's pointless if we don't see any actions on the back of it. However, there's literally no reference anywhere in it relating to ticket pricing. Whilst it's not strictly matchday experience, it should have something in there asking what factors influence an individuals decision whether or not to attend. Deep down they obviously already know its a factor, but it's clearly being ignored, as per.
  16. Would Bolton be averaging over 20k if they weren't winning games most weeks and in the promotion mix though? You've got to have something appealing about the product on the pitch as well, at Ewood there's barely anything to entice people apart from obviously bigger games such as Newcastle in the cup. Oddly I work in Bolton and although I'm only in the office 2 days a week there's not a single Bolton fan there that I'm aware of. Mainly United, City and a few ex Bury fans.
  17. The prices will almost certainly come out on Monday/Tuesday next week I would say. See if Bolton get promoted then they can give the tickets the hard sell focusing on the 3 huge Lancashire derbies included in the package. The fat prick will be praying they come up too as Oxford wouldn't exactly bring big numbers. On a similar note he'll not be happy if Leeds win in the final either, playing well tonight... Also means the 1875 club will attract folk who can't be arsed clamouring for tickets for the few away games likely to sell out.
  18. Jesus, are we really going through this mythical pacey winger rigmarole again 🤣🤣🤣 Every season, without fail.
  19. He genuinely turned on us after he got called out multiple times on here. Also the fact nobody bought any handbags from his daughters business, 100% true story and I'm surely not the only one on here who remembers it.
  20. Sympathetic Claret has gone quiet too. Meanwhile Swag is dusting off his 1875 club proposition. Sadly I will probably end up getting it too because I can't be arsed with the rigmarole of getting a ticket without last time round 🥲
  21. As someone who's sacked a fair few in my time, that's not strictly true and entirely dependent on the policies in place. Its normal for an investigation to take place in many circumstances and what follows next would typically be a case to answer meeting, which means the investigation has taken place and there's clear evidence of wrongdoing. The accused is given a chance to present their argument and a decision then made, usually from the highest level, especially for someone in a position like Silvester. He wasn't a minimum wage warehouse worker who'd called his boss a cunt 🤣 That all being said, I'd be surprised if our club has a watertight HR policy, but you never know.
  22. Gregg departing won't come as a surprise to anyone really. Nobody stays behind scenes for long apart from the small circle of 'untouchables' who do nothing to benefit club.
  23. Great offering from Huddersfield. Granted they're in the league below now but I bet they shift decent numbers and their fans will probably enjoy the season too as they should be up there winning games. .
  24. Well in fairness he does have a relevant CV for getting transfers over the line. However. Under this regime its more than likely just a smoke and mirrors job, apart from of course to Chaddy as always.
